Man, I wish I hadn't stopped fishing. I remember all through out high school watching you're videos and fishing in every second of my free time. Were about the same age so when I went off to college, you stopped uploading, I stopped fishing, life sucked. Decided to quit college and join the work force and now I'm 22 and trying to get back into fishing with the 1 rod I have left from my hayday and my small arsenal of lures. I've probably binged 100 hours of you're videos after work every day and I cant wait until the spring bite comes in. 43 degree water temps rn make it tough. Keep it up!
It’s honestly crazy how much I relate to this comment. In high school I was addicted to fishing. It was literally all I wanted to do. I remember watching Jon’s videos in the middle of class lol. I graduated in 2017, didn’t go to college. I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life, and I also quit fishing altogether. I got into photography and have just been traveling and working since. Now I’m 22, and randomly I just have the itch to start fishing again. It’s all I can think about. Idk, maybe it’s something about this age that’s makes you remember what you love and what makes you happy.

Since my last reply, my wife and I had our first child, and I’ve joined the US Air Force so it’s been a pretty crazy year. Whenever I finish my job training and go to my next duty station I’m planning on getting back into fishing again

Jon B. Over the last couple months, ive gotten back into fishing in sw. michigan. I hadnt fished for years since maybe my early teenage years when id go canoeing with my dad. Sinve then, id developed a terrible case of depression from life, and now here i am at the age of 24. Fishing had become such a past luxery in life that i never had the time nor mental energy to go out and do. But after finding this channel-YOUR channel, Itsl's given me more and more strength to drag my self out of bed and out ot my house to more and more spots i never even knew were there to go out and cast, whether 10 at night or 5 in the morning. I iust want to thank you and your friends, Jon. For giving me back a joy that i forgot i ever had, never believed id ever get back, with the fortitude to never stop fishing again.

Not sure if you'll see this or not, Jon. But I just wanna say coming from someone that shoots and edits video for a living, THIS is why I like your channel! You put all out as much thought and effort into the shooting and editing of your videos than you do the actual fishing. Anyone can catch a fish and show it on video, but it takes actual TALENT to make that video look good. NEVER STOP!!

You know Jon looking back on this now, your the reason I started fishing. And I thank you for it because it gets me off my fat ass out of the house, while I love your videos, I just get bored a lot. So I go out and fish the pond half a mile away from me and try to catch my first fish from it. Thank you Jon seriously, I started last year when I started watching all of the googan squad videos with the different googan’s channels but your the one that made me got off my ass and fish with my dads spinning rod at the beginning of quarantine and now I have my own baitcaster. So thank you man.

I know this video has been out for a long time, but the opening commentary is very inspirational. Like you, I grew up and still live in northern Illinois. In my late teens, I started giving up fishing and focusing on work and school. There was not much enjoyment in this, but I luckily found your channel and you helped motivate me to dig up my rods and get back out to pond hopping. Just recently I have bought my first fishing kayak, and just got a ton of new googan baits for the 2021 season. Cant wait to crank some lips this year.

These videos are so well produced I wouldnt surprised if people who dont fish watch this stuff. Whoever edits these is really good at capturing the chemistry between Peric and Jon, you can tell how good of friends they are with one another. Hard to believe I've been watching these guys for almost 5 years, I literally feel like we've been growing up together. Wouldnt be surprised if Jon b moved on to bigger entertainment projects in the future. Seeing how fast he's grown is really surreal.

I've recently started bass fishing in large part thanks to you and the other googans, ive been fishing many times since the age of 3 and always enjoyed it but never owned my own gear until just last week. Been teaching myself knots and techniques mostly with youtube videos, hopefully ill be able to get a couple hours in after the gym this morning before the storm hits.

I swear that when I was younger I loved fishing and I did the same thing, I took a break and tried doing other stuff than fishing, but fishing brought a new light back into me and I love it so much. What your doing brought back that “light” back into my life and made me wanna fish even more. This is seriously tv quality even better i can tell you guys put your all into these video's thats why i dont understand the hate you work just as hard if not harder to make things happen then any other person who ever tried to make it in the fishing industry but the thing is you went out you got the sponsers you filmed your own videos no help and you got noticed all on your own with the help of friend's but you did most of the filming and editing on your own using your own money to get around and buy gas nothing was truly given to you its seriously inspiring and could teach the youth you have to sometimes go get it on your own make relationships with friend's and build something out of basically nothing
