No this is a song for the extremely violent left. Italian people voted Meloni because the extremists in PD no longer care about the Italian people. "Bella Ciao" is a song for the partigiani that say everything is bad about italian people and that we must all be extreme communists when they take power. "Bella Ciao" is political and controversial and for extremists who committed lots of violence against Italian people in the war.

"Bella Ciao" is a very political and very controversial song in Italy, not a song of freedom. It is the song of the "partigiani" who killed Italians in WW2. It is not polite to play it in public, only some political extremists play it at their political rallies.

I would argue that these people are simply musicians. They must have liked the melody. It may have been a familiar tune to them. I believe there were no ill intentions. On the other hand, I see you point - they could have chosen something else. Let's see this song in a different light. It's not the song's fault that was used to symbolize something bad.
