Love Alanis Morissette!! This is an amazing song!! Her album, "Jagged Little Pill" is phenomenal!! Really great songs of hers are "Ironic" (Please react to that) but others to react to are "Right thru you", "You learn", "All I really want", "Hand in my pocket and "Head over feet"
I was never a fan of hers, but I remember when this song came out and how it impacted me. I lost my business and my relationship with my then fiance ended. This song reminded me of how that relationship affected me. The tune is haunting, her voice is powerful.
Alanis Jagged Little Pill is the number 1 breakup album! But she got me and my friends excited when she first came out and I still love her songs to this day and Im a Classic Rock guy lol! Fav bands are Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin but I love all music!!
*EPIC* ‼️And *LIVE* on top of that ‼️ You get *ONE* take,on one of the biggest stages in the world. Absolutely *crushed* it‼️⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐👏👏👏So many years later and this still *BANGS* ‼️ *FLAWLESS VICTORY* 🖤
Wow!Seen this a bunch before but not like this.Shout out to the conductor/orchestra. From learning to play drums music is heard differently.Like getting to hear all my fav songs again for the first time.Highly recommend picking up any instrument to anybody at any age.
For me Alanis was the first female artist who changed my mind on women singers I fell head over feet for her and bought jagged little pill and listened to it over and over I was 25 love her to this day
First! This was the album of my 20’s so every lyric in 1993 or 1994 was perfect! The bestest! Part about this artist is that she sounds exactly like her recordings and she brings the emotion
@@OfficialLifeWithRecklezz When she does this song live, they put strobe lights and smoke! And she does a crazy headbang dance!! She is a little older than me, I'm 45 she's I think 47, but she's full of energy still. She will be in Austin, TX tomorrow and also next saturday! 🙂 Also there's a musical play that's on tour that you guys might like, it's called Jagged LIttle Pill, it features her music...the main character is a bisexual African-American girl being raised by a white family. It's a GREAT musical. They deal with racism and drug addiction. They make "You Oughta Know" about when the main character cheats on her lesbian lover with a man. Also "Uninvited" is used in the musical when the mom overdoses on fentanyl and almost dies. 😲
“Thank you” is also a beauty one. These two are SO different from “You outta know”. I’m loving these reactions lately! Let’s GOOOOOOOO! Love you guys!!
@@MrEMan-cy5kl haha...Well when I was a young lad in 1990 or 1991, maybe 5 or 6 years old, Alanis came to one of our scout meetings (Canada has a version of cub scouts for little kids, called Beavers) and sang O Canada for our group. She was maybe 13 or 14 at the time...I don't really remember the performance, I mostly just remember thinking that she said her name was Atlantis, like the lost city, and being super impressed by that.
A lot of people have suggested a lot of great songs from her, but i want to add Mary Jane. It really shows the power behind her voice. one of my favorites among many of hers.
Alanis is awesome. Jagged Little Pill was big in the 90s. Try reviewing Deep Purple - Child in Time, 1970 live. It’s probably the best live rock performance on RUclips.
I remember seeing her videos when I moved to Toronto in 1994. Totally different music than she did with Jagged Little Pill. She has been around for a long time.
This song was in the movie City of Angels. I rarely like the live better & was expecting to be disappointed, but this sounded almost identical to the Video version!!
This was played in the credits of that movie, it was a perfect fit, lyrically and in mood. Good choice on which one to listen to, normally I wouldn't do a live version but this one is great. She has a unique stage presence.
She's so amazing! This live version is almost flawless. I think the studio version is also absolutely fantastic. This is probably my favorite Alanis song, although that's a tough call.
Guys I saw her live back in October and it was amazing ! Especially this song.....she whips that hair and headbangs during the ending instrumentals til she almost collapses. Beautiful person, and she is 47 with 3 toddlers !!! I can't imagine being pregnant in my late 40's and performing like this !
Alanis’ first album Jagged Little Pill sold over 16 million copies and I think that put a lot of pressure on her to create songs just as good or better than the ones on her debut album and she ended up with some pretty extreme anxiety. She took a trip to India to meditate and decompress and when she returned she wrote this song and the song Thank You which is another one you guys should check out some time.
Definitely do Ironic next when she is driving the car. It shows off her creativity to present her music on top of her fantastic singing voice and her lyrics penmanship!!!!! Just saying. You two have a great weekend!!!!! So says Austin Tx!!!!! 😎🍸
She blew the doors off the industry with jagged little pill. I remember when that album came out and how the industry reacted. Then came Amy Lee with Evanessance 😊
Nice reaction guy's Glad you both enjoyed it. You Oughta Know is from her debut album.. Yes she is older in this song, Was also used in the movie City Of Angels i agree with the other's & think you'll enjoy her song Ironic Though am suggesting to do the original music video release it's pretty cool Not many reactors picked up where she is at the beginning of that video And then what happens at the end of it... Thanks again, Take care
Another Canadian export - she looks different because her face wasn't hidden by hair like her other music videos. She also appeared as "GOD" with Chris Rock, Ben Affleck, Matt Damon George Carlin, Jay and Silent Bob, Linda Fiorentino and Salma Hayek in the 1999 movie "Dogma". Fun Cast!
But you guys are great on picking up what’s she’s putting down. This is not an easy song to analyze. Listen to it a few times. You will understand the emotion behind more! ❤
Alanis was the queen female performer of the 90s. Being cooler than Whitney, and fresher than Mariah. She swept Worldwide very quickly and kept her revered status.
Jagged Little Pill (the album that has Ironic and You Oughta Know and other hit singles) was released in 1995. She won multiple Grammys for that album (6 I believe). Uninvited won her 2 more at these Grammys.
Her curtain call came up and they couldn't find her until someone found her smoking it up with the crew... she's totally stoned singing this live amazing
I'm glad you guys enjoyed the performance. She's definitely a talented singer❗️Please react to her official videos for Hand In Pocket and Head over Heals. I think both of you would enjoy those songs. Back in the day they were big hits in the US
Do u want to hear alanis unfiltered check out her music video Thank You she bares her soul in that one............trust me being male and all trust me hehe.
I love I love that version I think it was from the music awards but if you check her out she moves a lot it was very subdued because it was on TV but she really moves a lot. It's like if you've ever seen Joe cocker sing they get so involved in music and their body moves with every beat every sound. Thank you for doing this version somebody else did the studio version with just words and this one is way better.
Allan Morrisette is one of the few artists post 1980 that’s worth a listen in my opinion. Her sound is very different. Most everything else post 1980 are pretenders rehashing music from the golden age, but nothing new!
Just saw her on The Jagged Little Pill 25 year Anniversary tour. She was awesome...
I think it might still be the best selling album of all time. I'm too lazy to look that up though so i'll just repeat it as fact lol
Alanis started out as a Mall singer
She's the real deal, no glitter just raw intense vocals
Really she started in TV on You Can't Do That on Television. She was the one that all the boys wanted to date.
This was a performance from the Grammys, so you know it will sound good, the production was top notch. Very moving!
Her voice had matured by this time. More confident..
Incredible singer/songwriter.
I was never a fan of hers, but I remember when this song came out and how it impacted me. I lost my business and my relationship with my then fiance ended. This song reminded me of how that relationship affected me. The tune is haunting, her voice is powerful.
Hope all is well now.

This is her best song in my opinion. Getting her Led Zep Kashmir vibe going on & that's not a bad thing. Powerful song.
Wow!Seen this a bunch before but not like this.Shout out to the conductor/orchestra. From learning to play drums music is heard differently.Like getting to hear all my fav songs again for the first time.Highly recommend picking up any instrument to anybody at any age.

React to Lut Gaye. Don't understand the lyrics but the story behind it is so good
It's based on a true story. That's why it's so deep
You might want to catch her doing Letterman live. You Outta Know live is very different from the studio version.
First! This was the album of my 20’s so every lyric in 1993 or 1994 was perfect! The bestest! Part about this artist is that she sounds exactly like her recordings and she brings the emotion
If want to really see how amazing her voice is watch Alanis Morissette live on Howard Stern Show. Total acoustic absolutely amazing vocals
Yes to “Ironic” and “Hand In my pocket.” Official videos please-👍🤘🏼✌️
I just saw her back in September 2020. She is amazing live❤️
Dang thats lit!!
I saw her in Tampa

My fave song of hers!! Simply just Hauntingly Beautiful 💯💯💯 Great reaction!!

Alanis was born and raised in my hometown Ottawa. most people my age have an Alanis story...
I'll bite....
Tell us about your Alanis story.

A VERY TALENTED HUMAN BEING
This is her best song imo. She's amazing.
Iam an 80s and 90s metal guy. But this woman has got awesome pipes and great songs!!
"Thank U" is my favourite Alanis song!
Alanis is awesome. Jagged Little Pill was big in the 90s. Try reviewing Deep Purple - Child in Time, 1970 live. It’s probably the best live rock performance on RUclips.
Deep Purple's Child in time is a great song! Great choice Big Dawg!
This is a beautiful song. Her voice is angelic. It is a dark song with a beautiful melody.
Her voice was so much more mature and clean in this song. The background symphony took it to another lever. Thanks for reacting!!
wow, never seen this before, great video, vocals and that orchestra = amazing. great reaction.
Ironic or Jagged Little Pill are both great!
I remember seeing her videos when I moved to Toronto in 1994. Totally different music than she did with Jagged Little Pill. She has been around for a long time.
She sounds nearly as good live still now in 21/22 🤗😎👍
this was in the movie of City of Angels with Nichols Cage and Meg Ryan

Alanis Morissete - That I would be good

the strings are insane on this! so many of them, strong, undertones, featured, wow!
All I generally listen to his death metal… But Alanis Morissette has never lost a place in my CD player.
This is my favorite of hers...live version is amazing,

She did and acoustic version of You Ought to Know on Howard Stern

Alanis was the queen female performer of the 90s. Being cooler than Whitney, and fresher than Mariah. She swept Worldwide very quickly and kept her revered status.
She is Canadian. She just has a different cadence to her lines, and trailing yodel at the end of some notes for effect, and she nails it.
HI from Adelaide Australia, I'm so happy you guys found this song ❤️❤️❤️
amazing live performance!!❤❤👏👏👍🤙🤘🤞✌👍👍👏👏🤙🤙🤘
Awesome. I love Alanis. You should react to Ironic for sure than one of her more recent songs Reasons I Drink. Looking forward to more reactions!
Alanis is always great live with a really strong vocal.
Thank U is a great song too
She plays god in the movie Dogma!! Awesome awesome movie!!!!!
Jagged Little Pill (the album that has Ironic and You Oughta Know and other hit singles) was released in 1995. She won multiple Grammys for that album (6 I believe). Uninvited won her 2 more at these Grammys.
Her best most underrated song!
If you listen to any of her albums, her voice sounds like this on many tracks.
This song is from the film "' City Of Angles". Great sound track. Great music!
This is after she went to India for an extended sabbatical...you can hear INDIA in this...I love her exploring new sound.
Her curtain call came up and they couldn't find her until someone found her smoking it up with the crew... she's totally stoned singing this live amazing
The Ironic video is classic though, have to do that one
React to Thank You and check out the back story. So many good songs
I get chills every time I hear her sing this song✌️🤟🤙
It is so cool you picked up her Canadian accent. It is very pronounced
🇨🇦🇨🇦OUR GIRL.. YOU CAN HEAR HER CANADIAN "R" s

Please do more Alanis....Hand in my pocket!!!
we needed to hear ya girl talk, we saw her facial expressions,
Watch her video for Ironic it's so damn cute and great song.
Need to do the PRETENDERS - the early stuff with CHRISSIE HYNDE - a legend, as the original band was too.
This song is even better after you watch the movie. (CITY OF ANGELS)
Do u want to hear alanis unfiltered check out her music video Thank You she bares her soul in that one............trust me being male and all trust me hehe.
