I've seen this Vr Rig before it was finished, I saw the first tests of the prototype, I witnessed the very first assembly! was once called "stereoTrucca" is now called PanoptikonVR! My friends of Hive Division will never cease to amaze you!

Hi guys.....just a couple of question...cause u're going in a very different way if we consider actual rig for video/film making (but maybe you work on events and big landscape only) and i can't undestand your purpose:
- why so many cameras with a so poor FOV ? VR developing clearly shows that using less camera is better, less border to match, but most of all a smaller rig, so less parallax
- with a so big structure, what's the minimum distance of the subject before parallax become too much? Do u wanna shot only in big area? How can u use it in a car, i.e. ?
- why you use simple Alu ? Alu is well know in mechanical engineering for beeing a material with poor stifness and without dumping properties....you told that u choose it because u need a stiff structure.... so what? I believe Ergal (Alu alloy) is better.
- why u didn't CNC parts? There a lot of free space inside the structure....is it a choice?
- why u tell that "manual stitching" is better? I mean....last realease of autopano video (i.e.) let u have total control of each stitching point
- it's only a video rig or there's also some microphone array inside?

Uk Gamer true that. But it's just because a prison is the immediate use Benthan saw for the more general (greek) concept of someone being able to watch in all directions. Blame society ;)
