    Becton said after the game, "you can feel when the defense starts to give up." That's why running the football well will always be a winning formula.

  • @RonZucker
    @RonZucker Месяц назад +17

    My favorite moment in the game was introducing the eagles offensive line. When it was Mailata, who is from Australia and never went to US college, he looked right at the camera and said, "Jordan Mailata, Stoutland University." He came here a huge rugby player who had never played football. Now he's as important as two potential HOFers in Landon Dickerson and Lane Johnson.
    Beckton will stay. He saw what happened to him in New York. He knows how important it is to play next to a great tackle, how much easier it makes the guard's life. And he was on the street. Nobody else wanted him. I think the front office will find a way to make the deal. I certainly hope so. The guys he hits look like extras in a Hollywood movie being jerked back on a wire rig.
    Detroit is very, VERY good, and as physical as the birds. If they meet in the playoffs, i expect seismic waves emanating from the turf. Those offensive and defensive lines might bring down the stadium with the force of their clashes. And I'm here for it!

    Long time Birds fanatic and Huge O-Line fan. If you’re a Birds fan, it’s hard to NOT to love o-line play. We’re spoiled like that.
    Never saw you guy’s before, but when a video pops into my feed with 2 of my favorite things, I had to watch. I’m glad I did.
    Though I love slowing the games down and watching the O-line, I never played organized football myself, so while I understand the concepts, hearing it told by two that really know was terrific.
    My two favorite things in the video were
    1) hearing two pro’s get genuinely excited about my birds, not because you’re birds fans like me, but because you can not only appreciate how great they are, but also explain Why.
    2) They Touchdown calls before Saquon had gone 15 yds on the two 70-yarders. I was so focused on Saquon that I missed it when it happened. To have you point it out made me lol.
    Thanks guys. Break down the best O-line in football again and you can be sure I’ll be watching it.

    • @rook1196
      @rook1196 Месяц назад

      Poor OL play is a cancer that tears your entire team apart. Barkley and Henry were supposedly in their twilight years and are just lighting it up. Goff was a throw in in the Stafford trade and is now in the running for MVP largely because Detroit's OL is elite. IMO Stroud hasn't regressed or been figured out. In fact he's probably a bit better w/ some exp under his belt. Its just last year he had the best pass blocking in the NFL, this year teams are having their way w/ Houston's OL.

    It's so crazy that the Eagles got Becton for free pretty much cuz the Jets gave up on him and the same for Zack Baun. If i drafted someone with becton's traits I wud have tried everything to see if he cud work out. I remember when I heard they has signed him I knew that Stout wud make him a great player. I thought that Steen was ok at guard but I wanted Becton in there so bad. Even Fred Johnson played well while Mailata was out and he had to go against Miles Garrett and he was on 3 teams b4 the eagles. Also Moro Ojomo is playing well on the d line and he was a 7th round pick and I am a Texas fan and said that he wud be good but i thought at DE instead of tackle. It's just so insane that Howie got these guys for so cheap when other teams can't seem to find guys the Eagles are making stars out of guys other teams gave up on or didnt think were good

    I'm a lifelong Birds fan who's been watching this franchise since the late 60's (they were awful in those days) so watching this analysis had me grinning from ear-to-ear. Pinch me...I must be dreaming. Watching this monster OL and how it's orchestrated is really something special and an absolute joy to watch if you're an old-school fan. We've had some good RB's, Shady McCoy and Wilbert Montgomery immediately come to mind, but we've never had anyone like #26. He's the real deal/the complete package who takes our running attack to another level. His lethal combination of speed, lateral quickness, power and vision are out of this world. I'm as giddy as a school girl. A special thanks to the Giants' GM for allowing this to happen. LET"S GO!!
