Genesis 1:3-13 | God Forms

The earth was formless and void
But God's Spirit hovered over the earth. That's where we left off our study of the creation story in Genesis. Before time and space began, God already was. And then into the chaos of a dark and empty earth, God spoke and brought order and life.
In this week's message, we will continue in Genesis 1 and study through the first three days of the creation account. We'll study what it means when the Scripture uses the word "day" and how each day of creation counters a pagan belief of the origins of creation. And we'll see how the God who spoke order into the chaos of the earth is the same God who can speak order into the chaos of our broken lives.
