Hi thanks for your posts. I live in Oregon and it's been raining here forever. Laughlin just looks so good to me right now, what with the lights the river and the quiet (and of course the gaming). I think i'll go and check Laughlin out in February as I've never been. Thank you for your thoughtful videos and the best of luck to you on your visit here in the states.
Matt. I'm glad to hear your in Laughlin for one night me personally do not care for Laughlin at all!!!!!!! Curious to hear your thoughts but at least you can say you went. GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!
Not a bad room at all. Years ago, we stayed at the Gold Coast a few times because my best friend and her husband lived not too far away and there was no safe. Had to get the safe deposit box at the cashier. I found it quite inconvenient. Another Vegas local friend visits Laughlin once in a while just to get away.
No safe?? :) Reminded me of 1991 staying at Union Plaza. I won a $4,700 royal flush at Lady Luck and had to get a safety deposit box for my winnings back at Union Plaza. Oh, and I'm still looking for my 2nd hand pay. Love your vlogs! They're just as good the second time around.
No safes in room is an odd thing about this hotel. The California Tower is the other tower, and is supposedly adult only, and is closer to the river. For one night you'll do fine. Laughlin is not Vegas. Believe it or not the Aquarius towers are more modern than almost any other hotel in Laughlin. Enjoy the slightly warmer temps and the riverwalk! If you happen to like pastries, check out the eclairs and napoleons at the Duet coffee/wine shop!
@Lloyd Bonafide Says so much about you that you'd actually post your (claimed) 401k balance in a thread about a casino hotel review. Love it! Was the comment about carrying around under $500 in a casino being low roller THAT painful and hurtful for you to read/see that this was how you reacted?
Laughlin is a like a mini-vegas. Less than 2 hours from Vegas. About 2 million people visit a year and the town only has like 8,000 people. It is very popular with people with RVs because there are large spaces and parking is free, something Las Vegas is not known for. Its also popular destination among residents of Phoenix. Laughlin is a little over 3 hours from Phoenix while Vegas is about 5. In the winter time, there are non-stop flights from Toronto, Montreal, Minneapolis, and Vancouver to Laughlin. Laughlin is warmer and more pleasant than Las Vegas in the winter time, and it is a popular destination amongst snowbirds who store their RVs all year long near Laughlin.
Riverside Resort is pretty nice, but the rooms were never as clean as the Pink Flamingo's rooms during the 1990's. I was apt to see bugs in Riverside Resort's rooms.
Better to visit now in the Winter than Summer. The Summers can be miserable with a high of 103 degrees with a humidity close to 100....during the night. Had absolutely no luck when I was there last week. About the only place where I broke even was where you're staying. Still.....80 bucks a night at Laughlin....ouch. Those bastards are taking advantage of a nice English bloke such as yourself. :)
As a resident if Laughlin, a normal summer day is a high of 118 with humidity at 6 percent. Although, often we can get summer storms, you will never see the humidity in Laughlin in the summer time get over 70 percent. I’ve seen it pour rain with the humidity at 25 percent.
I used to go to Laughlin in the 90s several times a year. I've stayed at all the hotels. I believe the Aquarius was originally the Flamingo. With all new new properties coming online in Vegas Laughlin started to loose its appeal except for the 65 plus club.
Well done on your play so far Matt. What a start to the holiday!!
Thanks for the look inside, never been to Laughlin, so eager to see how you do there! Congrats again on the last 2 nights!!!!
Excellent tour of this immaculate room. Thank you for sharing. My families next room to get next time we’re in Laughlin.
Well can’t wait to see how you like it there...... good luck matt

Be careful of the remote control roulette ball
Have always wanted to try Laughlin, maybe in Feb when we're in Vegas. Hope it's good to you! Your experience will factor in if we give it a try
Looking forward to seeing your Laughlin video, nice suite!!

The room is nice and the view is ok.

you uploading tonight matT?
When we fly out to Vegas to visit family we always try to get down to Laughlin for a few nights.
Is there a sofa bed?
Well done on the commentary, making it sound ok. My eyes said otherwise 🤣
LOL
Nice suite Matt, did you say 80$ per night thought Laughlin was cheap??
My parents live in Laughlin with my siblings. My brother is a bartender at the riverside. Definitely prefer the riverside over the Aquarius!
I have never been to laughlin but after looking up some videos am thinking about going over for a night or 2 on my next trip down to Vegas.
Curious on the safety deposit box ... if you did that let us know if it was a pain please
I did. It was fine. They have a room next to the cashier cage.
Looks real Nice . How far of a drive from Las Vegas?
Just over 90 minutes.
How far away from Vegas is Laughlin < Matt ? Would you recommend going there ?
90 miles
I prefer downtown so would stay there in future.
How much was this joint .......
👍 WTID

You're clearly not a tourist on a 10 day holiday form the UK!
@Lloyd Bonafide If you think carrying more than 500 in a casino is foolish, then I have to assume you are a very low roller.
@Lloyd Bonafide I'll try and grin and bear it. Someone has to lololol

Looks decent just need a place to sleep 👍
What is Laughlin, some kind of "diet Las Vegas"?
Konami It’s just another tiny town in Nevada... a place for long haul truckers to stop and get something to eat.

Never realised Laughlin was pronounced like that I always assumed it was pronounced Locklin like the Irish name O'Laughlin

Room looks fine. Just need a comfy bed and a good hot shower. No Safe? hmmm Well, good luck in Laughlin.
No safe !! they obviously hadn't watched part 1 or 2 of the vlogs

It was $60 odd plus tax and Resort Fee. Could have got a room for $30 but went for the suite.

Lovely view of the trailer park. 😂
That is a very nice RV park that I have stayed at, with some pretty expensive motorhomes.
Yeah that aint no trailer park, its more like an RV camp, most who stay are in very nice RVs.
No Safe in a Gambling town.....well that's awkward :-)
