  • Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer used his opening question in PMQs to welcome his new MP Dr Dan Poulter - who defected from the Tories last weekend.
A reminder, Sir Keir says, that Dr Poulter defected over what he branded NHS "chaos", saying he had come "to the conclusion that, once again, the only cure is a Labour government".

the reason people in labour councils pay for council tax is that they have been left to fend for themselves with no investment from a torie government

The Conservatives are cutting taxes, which is a positive development. However, I’ve noticed that my council tax bill has increased by £300 annually. In addition, my water bill has also seen an increase, and food prices have doubled. On the bright side, they are reducing the national insurance by £20 per month.

Contempt is difficult to remove, but even with fair play, a person just gets spun to nothingness. Its way worse than twelve years ago, way worse. If only Id known how much I needed all these services back then. Its just another level of spun and filed away and move along. Its not right. Gobsmacked this is Yorkshire somedays. Starmer went all in in £68 billion "unfunded" in Sunak's plan to eradicate NI completely. Why didn't Rishi just remind him that the Chancellor said he would like to do it when it was affordable? By extrapolation it is "unfunded" as it is obviously not affordable at the moment. Pointless questions and inappropriate answers.
