- 2022 is almost over, and that made me think about all the amazing Sonic Fan Games I've played this year. Today I wanted to share a list of games with you that you can play to make the wait for Sonic Frontiers go by a little quicker!

I like how after playing the game gear games, you can almost always hear sonic game gear music in the background. i'm not complaining, it slaps.

I'd recommend Sonic Robo Blast 2, it's definitely one of the top five Sonic fangames IMO.
Ooh! Could you talk about Boll Deluxe? It's a remastered version of sonic boll with multiplayer coming later down the pipeline

You should talk about Sonic Hoshi, only 3 zones so far but they are all really good and it’s very well made.
I will play all of them
My only issue with Sonic World DX is that they said they'd fix the controller support issue, but most of my controllers that have X-Input dont work for it properly
i am disappointed that sonic the fighters blitz is not on this list
it isn't a _standard_ fangame, but you put super mario all-star attack on the list so it should have gotten a pass

Thank you for the weekly reminder I still need to play Sonic and the Fallen Star
The year isn't over yet and I got to say this was quite a year to be a Sonic fan. I mean this year we got Sonic Triple trouble 16-bit Remake, Sonic and the Fallen Star, Sonic movie 2, Sonic Origins, (yes it was disappointing and leaves much to be desired but it still decent) Spark the Electric Jester 3, and Freedom Planet 2. And the upcoming Sonic Frontiers that looks promising.
And I know that Spark the Electric Jester 3 and Freedom Planet 2 aren't Sonic games but you most likely will enjoy them.
I mean if you are a fan of either or both Sonic Adventure games, you most definitely will enjoy Spark the Electric Jester 3. And Freedom Planet 2 is a sequel to Freedom Planet 1 which started out as a Sonic fan game until it tried to do its own thing.
Please check out Sonic RPG it gets really good at Episode 7-10
Don't forget Sonic GT and Sonic Utopia AND Sonic Project Hero
Fun fact, Sonic Encore is running on the GT engine

project rascal is super promising but it will be a full steam game, although theres a fantastic free demo right now
Still wishing someone was able to adapt After the Sequel for modern PCs, cause the flash cutscenes don't work and I WANT MAH CUTSCENES!!
Someone did fix it with Before the Sequel by putting everything into an exe file.
I’ve always wanted to run through a 3-D version of hilltop zone in an actual main sonic game
2 other games I would want to add is sonic riders x and sonic momentum as both are amazing fan games itself

Super Cream 64 is also a mod for the SM64 source port
so 2 things
1) I know how good sonic and the fallen star is I 100%ed the game
2) Where is sonic rush 3D

Triple Trouble you can. I assume Fallen Star works fine. Most things do work on Steam Deck if you just try them.

Probably not, but i think there is an updated Sonic mod with more stuff

For me it feels a bit overdone with a slightly mediocre level dessign with a scale that's a bit too big
