  • BODYBOARDER'S VIDEO MAGAZINE No. 9 - Tom Boyle Films iconic series set the BODYBOARDING world on FIRE. Bodyboarding was blasting off and VIOLENT GRACE was the 9th episode.
Tom Boyle travels to Mexico with Fred Booth, Stan Moniz, AJ Arecchi, Mike Stewart and Brian Bielmann. Then in West Australia Guilherme Tamega, Jay Reele and Vicki Gleeson hook up with photographer/cinematographer Chris Dyball to deliver dripping wet, in your face, water footage. From Oz, it's back to Hawaii with all the legends of the sport: Kai Santos, Seamas Mercado, Lanson Ronquillio, Eppo, Brian Wise, Chris Burkhart and still more legends crawling out of the woodwork! Violent Grace is dangerous boogie board movie that will have you running to the beach.
    ABOUT TOM BOYLE:
"Not only did Tom Boyle capture the first still images of the sport, but he also produced the first series of core bodyboard videos under Bodyboard Video Magazine featuring the likes of Mike Stewart, Ben Severson, Pat Caldwell, Keith Sasaki and Jack Lindholm. Mutant Slabs and Monster Barrels was one of Tom's best films, and it featured Gina Bielmann and Dog Boy, aka Chris Won, on the cover." - from The Bodyboard Museum

"In the formative years of bodyboarding (the late 70s/early 80s), Tom Boyle was the only person capturing the burgeoning sport/lifestyle. A champion rider in his own right, Boyle became one of the senior photographers and editors for BodyBoarding magazine, documenting this new pursuit with compelling images and stories.
Not content with just the print media, Boyle took the next logical step and started shooting and producing bodyboarding videos. These videos, created under his Eye Spy Productions company, were the gold standard benchmark of its time, to which all other bodyboarding video producers aspired. He used professional video equipment, high-quality editing, and excellent footage of (mostly) Hawaiian waves and riders.
Through the years, Tom Boyle has distributed 15 bodyboarding videos, most distributed internationally. The first 12 were all part of the Bodyboarders Video Magazine series.
