      Oh yea, packed today on the main trail up, I just avoid the common route. Holidays get the busiest nowadays.

    I’ve been running in that same heat too. It’s quite something. Somebody today told me I looked like I had just gotten out of a pool. lol

      I’m sure, even walking yesterday I got kinda sweaty.

    Yeah those trails are easier on the legs and you can run farther because it’s cooler. Just have to worry about tripping over something. LOL

      I have to ice my knees after because of the descent, but other than that it does work out well. I think enjoying it more right now helps too haha

      @@ChristianRunsNY Sorry if I missed it--did you injure your knees? Or do they just get sore after running? Any other symptoms like tightness/pain in the glutes?

      It's just some knee swelling from the downhill. Nothing long term, after a day of running down 1500ft I need a little ice

    It was nasty this weekend 🥵🥵🥵 I ran 10 mile at CP and I also drank 32oz of water. Think I could have drank more 😆

      I’m seeing 100% humidity tomorrow at 7am. I don’t remember it always being like this before the last couple years!

    Can I ask why you wear leggings on such a warm, humid day? Is it to repel ticks? Thanks!

      Just as a light brace for the knees. They’re supposed to be for hot weather, they actually were pretty dry at the end so I guess they do work as far as pulling the moisture off your body.

    Hey man great video as always, I just wanted to ask how are those peg 4 gtx holding in hot and humid days like this. Did you find the gore-tex breathable? I recently ordered the same shoes but since they are my first gore-tex shoes I have no experience with the fabric and I'd love to know.

    • @ChristianRunsNY
      @ChristianRunsNY  Год назад +1

      I've used them throughout the summer since we still get wet conditions in the summer. Streams and things like that where it's nice to have the water proofing. I haven't noticed them running too hot at all. No more than my Hoka Speedgoat 4.
      Technically one of the staples of the Gore-Tex stamp is breathability, alongside waterproof and windproof.

    86% humidity running today (July 4th), it’s been brutal this weekend 😅
    What’s the poison ivy situation like on mt beacon? Feel like a lot of the similar places around me are full of them and it discourages good trail runs like this

      I bet it’s out there but I’ve never had any rashes myself. Most of the trails are clear enough to avoid any foliage. Luckily I haven’t had ticks on me either because of the space to run.
