This song heals me in so many ways.A relationship between me and a great friend has ended and now all i have is this wonderful music to nurture me.Thank God to that.
I've been through a couple of friend groups in my life. Ended some friendships that we both thought would last forever. Hurts like hell, but either life, people or circumstances got in the way. As I sit here with yet another crew of wonderful people, I've learned to enjoy the good times while they last.
My main message for you is that new people will come along. It just takes a bit of bravery to be the first one to open up, in a way. I've found kindred souls in strangest of places and at strangest times :)

seeing oscar look that sad makes me want to cry which only adds to the multi-layered greatness of heartbreaker. ridunculously good.
13 years already. Time to say it: timeless classic. Like many of Metronomy earlier works. "The Bay", "The Look", "Trick or Treatz", and many more. And we just got a new album that has a lot of good stuff on it.

The car in the music video is a 1985 Honda Accord Hatchback (European version). The license plate "B149CGN" shows up on the official gov.uk MOT check website as last registered in 2008 (the same year as this music video). Unfortunately, that probably means it was scrapped by the production company after its use for filming.
That noise in the background sounds like someone rocking back and forth in an office chair.

joseph mount said in an interview that a couple days before the first show, they saw the lights in a store and thought it'd be cool to have a synchronized light show to go along with the music.
