You're up and you'll get down
You're never running from this town

"You'll never get anything better than this
'Cause you're going 'round in circles

'Cause you read it in a big book
And now you're giving me the look, look
But just remember how we shook, shook
And all the things we took, took
This town's the oldest friend of mine

this song sounds just like your childhood, being 5-6 years old and taking a nap in a hot bedroom, the window opened to let fresh air in, inside of a wooden house in the middle of nowhere on a sunny day of august. and absolutely nothing happens for hours. just the instrumental of this song playing on an old radio.

This is the most amazing song. It makes me cry with happiness every time I hear it. It reminds me so much of my husband…the melody is just him; it’s very hard to explain but it evokes so much happiness in me. I love it! (And so does my husband). Thank you for creating such a special song with the most beautiful melody.

    God tier mixing.
I played this video off my bluetooth in my car, off my luxury sound system, and finally off my headphones.
It is uncanny how well mixed this is. What makes this perfect is that the song is also a gem. Every instrument has a unique presence - that crank ratchet is deliciously mixed in and kept subtle throughout. The use of the acoustic guitar chords for those "oompf" accents/impacts...
    Just ~~~~~aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah😇~
This is music at its finest, folks.
You know about tears of happiness?
This song gives me tears of appreciation.

The first time I heard this song I was at an indie party, the song started and the most beautiful girl I've ever seen was dancing to it. I was too shit-faced high to even make a move, I just stayed there watching her dancing with herself as if she was poetry materialized in this world. I didn't know the song or band name, I didn't even remember listening to the song at all until Spotify recommended it to me a few days ago, when I heard the first note it took me back to that very same day.

    Lyrics:
You're up and you'll get down
You never running from this town
    Kinda think you said
You'll never get anything better than this
'Cause you're going round in a circle
    And everyone knows you're trouble
'Cause you read it in a big book
And now you're giving me the look look
But just remember how we shook shook
And all the things we took took
This town's the oldest friend of mine
Get up and we get down
We're always running round this town
    And to think they said
We'd never make anything better than this
'Cause we're always in small circles
    And everyone thinks we're trouble
We didn't read it in the big book
And now we're giving you the look look
Just remember how we shook shook
And all the things we took took
This town's the oldest friend of mine
