I had a minor injury where workers comp covered the physical therapy, and they didn't even make me take comp for salary. They just paid me. I still work there a year and a half later. No plans to leave at the moment, it's too chill.
Nearly cut a thumb off at a Pizza place I worked at. Knife was over sharpened and chipped that I was cutting lettuce for sandwiches with. Ended up needing to go to the ER and getting silver nitrate to stop the bleeding. The nurse that cleaned the wound was at the pizza place on her lunch break and saw it happen lol. 5 days later when I was back at work the owner yelled at me for using Workers Comp because I have my own insurance that I can put that on. Thanks a lot Jay.
I've been in a situation where I was turned away from treatment because my injury happened at work. I was clueless and had gone to my doctor trying to use my own insurance.

I wonder what cost more filling a sink hole or paying out seven employees workers comp. From what I gathered it seems paying seven employees workers comp is cheaper. That is some sink hole.
Heck its even worse because not only is it an ongoing expense to pay those seven workers, the number falling in the hole will increase over time! One day its 7, then the next you have 12 people out with back injuries from that expensive dang hole! Tell them to go to home depot, buy a couple sacks of gravel, and dump it in. 20 bucks and its done. Then institute a clean floor policy
I am extremely thankful not all companies are evil like this when it comes to issues of workers comp. My company is pretty damn awesome. I got hurt on the job and my HR rep went above and beyond for me to make sure I had anything and everything I needed and my workers comp agent was super reliable and was always there to answer any questions I had. They had their stuff together and when I came back my boss was super happy to see me. Spent a whole day. Just chilling in his office. Getting caught up on all the work drama and whatever else there was to talk about
I'm gonna go ahead and assume that legal is going to start being required to show up to productivity meetings in order for the company to KEEP profits instead of handing them out for slam dunk cases.
I had an employer back in the day that would "offer" to take their employees to urgent care and pay cash for health services. When I got hurt I went straight to get care of my own. If there were any lasting effects of the injury or medication needed I wanted proof and documentation of my injury. I understood that they were a small company, but workers comp is for the employee. Not just the employer.
I think it could actually be an interesting setup. Either as a skit where he is the company's law department going insane every time they learn about the latest "policy change" that will get the company sued into oblivion, or even just breaking down the specific laws that yes, these managers are violating.

We had 2 dudes get injured on the job. One was hit by a forklift, they ran over the ball of hit foot. And the other broke his wrist lifting. They claimed there was no workers comp and they had to come to work otherwise it would be excessive absence and would be fired. At the very least they were given "light duty", but that also meant they were only given 7 ½ hour work days maximum.

Yes, there are people out there that use the system but it should not effect others that are acually victims. He lost his last ten years of work and only got less than two years pay and that was the max. Did you know they have max anounts for head dismemberment? So if you get your head chopped off at work, even if its proved to be the company's fault, your family will get 200,000 for your head. So because people either don't want to do their jobs and really investigate these claims or they might just not care about life at all. My father probably gets 3 hours of sleep max due to extreme pain in his back and neck and will until his death. He told me he always thought that, as long as the corporates of America didn't get taxed so much, things would change. He supported a man he thought could make that happen and help the blue collar worker. It didn't change a thing. I am pretty open-minded but he now looks at these people in disgust for showing their true colors. They are not red, they are purely green for them, definitely not you.

That would ironically cause the biggest litigation shitstorm that company would have ever experienced, ever. The judgement would exceed the cost of the surgeries, physical therapy and sink hole times 20.
I'm pretty sure I got laid off for being injured with a high ankle sprain but my ex-boss told me it was due to a "mistake" I made, one that he made plenty of times before as he drove an $80,000 2022 F-150 Platinum as a "work vehicle" for a small start up business.....God I wish I could've proven it.
I have worked at at least 2, off the top of my head, where I swear they looked for any reason whatsoever to write up people. I know they wanted people to be on edge knowing they could be fired at any moment. Its like they wanted us to hate, well it worked because we all did. It was hell, and I dont miss quitting asap.
I was denied my position back at work when I dislocated my shoulder and got surgery. When I was recovered from the surgery my boss said I was no longer needed. Took his ass to court and let’s just say he regrets his decision on not giving me my job back. Hurt his wallet pretty good.
I feel like I'm the guy in the shiny blue shirt talking to my managers. I took over my supervisor's job when she took over the position of assistant manager (retail, btw, but same shit, different day). They keep telling me, as part of my training, that I need to let them know what I need to get trucks unloaded and merchandise out on the floor. For six months, I kept saying the same thing: "I need faster people or more people. I need 'this person' off truck and I need 'this person' off truck. I need at least one of our seasoned employees on truck to assist me with the softlines unload, I can handle hardlines... but I also need a hardlines unloader because I can't scan and cut boxes if I'm filling vehicles with stock. I keep hearing the same bullshit: "Oh, but we don't have the budget to give people hours." We've been in an un-ending hiring cycle since March because we can't keep anyone for more than a month. Now, I get that the world has gone to shit and nearly everyone these days are morons because Trump hasn't told them what to do and how to do it (pretty sure one high school kid we hired couldn't read), but they kept asking me why we were falling behind on trucks. I kept repeating myself on what I need because they would ask what I needed to make it happen. Our district manager was wondering why trucks weren't getting done in a reasonable time, I would continually repeat myself. "We just don't have the budget to schedule more people". I also found out that when we hire people, that cuts our budget for giving people hours. THE FUCKING STORES ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR FUNDING THE HIRING while we cut everyone's hours. So, we have been on this vicious cycle of hiring, not giving hours, people leaving, hiring, not giving hours... etc. My assistant manager is the only one that understands what I need because I'm literally doing the job she did for ten years and even she can't seem to make everyone else understand that if we don't have people to unload trucks, trucks don't get unloaded. I swear, it's literally like talking to a brick wall.
Workplaces like this are why regulations and OSHA exist. ...can we get a video where these toxic jerkwads actually get their comeuppance? I know there was a sketch that was kinda going in that direction awhile back, but I legit want to see one sketch where this toxic workplace is thrown face-first into the 'Find Out' half of 'F- around and find out'.
I got my wrist cut when the manager dropped his end of a new stove we were putting in the restaurant. He wrote a report saying it was a work related accident, he took responsibility for it, he brought the Workman's comp paper to the ER for me and the company still refused to allow it. Workman's comp is a joke when every company makes sure its unusable
I knew a employer who fired an employee who for filing workers comp. Boy did they get hit with a lawsuit. Cost them more in lawyer fees than their entire workers comp pay.
What worries me is these vídeos are so great that the idiot upper management at my company might see these videos as inspiration to fuck over us workers😂
My work was furious and berrated me for filing worker's comp after I sprained my right ankle from being tasked to pull a pallet out of the trash container in the yard.
I was on worker’s comp after something very bloody and with lost some body parts. The employer called me to say that I HAD to come back to work there after the Dr said I was clear to work. Sounded shady, so I called my worker’s comp liaison from the insurance company. She said the company received bad legal advice. Their intent was to prevent me from suing them (many OSHA violations) by firing me after I came back (relieving them of any liability due to me not being able to do the job). I called them back, after the Dr said I could work again, to inform them that I would be dropping by to retrieve my things. While there, they continued to hound me about getting back to work. I told them I would never set foot in that building again, took my stuff and never looked back. I knew the owners, personally. For years, they were terrified that I was going to sue them. It was equally miserable, I guess.
oooo, forklift skit, sort of. you should make one about how the company wants you to ride your forklift from the entrance to where the punch in is on the other side of the building despite there being a punch in right next to the forklifts. this happened to me. they said the punch next to the lifts was for management only, and they highly encouraged us to ride the lift to punch in, even though if we hurt someone doing it we'd be off the clock and going against policy. fuuuuuu. I hated that place.
This is an old video. I'm in the union. We get 40 hours sick time, which we can bank year after year. 2nd year we get 2 weeks vacation. 5 Years, 3 weeks vacation. 10 Years 4 weeks. And keeps going up. Anyway our vacation pay and sick time is based off of 1/52. They average what we made over the last 52 weeks, and that's our vacation pay.

"Hell we all got back issues" 😂
I have worked at at least 2, off the top of my head, where I swear they looked for any reason whatsoever to write up people. I know they wanted people to be on edge knowing they could be fired at any moment. Its like they wanted us to hate, well it worked because we all did. It was hell, and I dont miss quitting asap.
Those same people will complain that they can't find any good work... the blatant hypocrisy and lies of the average manager never surprises me.
This feels like it was a real conversation somewhere management in most places I’ve worked at are completely lazy and idiotic
I was denied my position back at work when I dislocated my shoulder and got surgery. When I was recovered from the surgery my boss said I was no longer needed. Took his ass to court and let’s just say he regrets his decision on not giving me my job back. Hurt his wallet pretty good.
Its been a while since Ive laughed this damned hard at a video! bravo
I keep hearing the same bullshit: "Oh, but we don't have the budget to give people hours."
We've been in an un-ending hiring cycle since March because we can't keep anyone for more than a month.
If you fall off that ladder your fired before you hit the ground, if you get back up your rehired
Told this 1st day in the trades.
This a C-suite meeting in every American corporate office.
that one dislike is the manager who wanted to or did cancel someone's workers comp lol
I live in a feudal society and this is every fucking morning everyday since 30 years.
What good is the thrird write up if it is after they came back from workers comp?
This is bizarre, I was almost certain that the South historically was very generous with employee benefits. LOL.
Get rid of workers comp. Brilliant. Boss man can finally afford that third boat. PTO has been canceled also.
That legal eagle spot is great.
Pfff. I’m scared to even know what the managers talk about in my job’s manager meetings.
WE all have back injuries. But not everyone is sitting in an office chair. Some are actually working .
What worries me is these vídeos are so great that the idiot upper management at my company might see these videos as inspiration to fuck over us workers😂
That sinkhole might be a OSHA violation
We all know that one guy who's with management is gonna cry the hardest once it's his own ass that's on the line.
My work was furious and berrated me for filing worker's comp after I sprained my right ankle from being tasked to pull a pallet out of the trash container in the yard.
You need to chill out on being so on point. Those meeting shinnanags are to real
Sounds like the management when i worked for general mills.
I’ve heard that before about GM 😳
Been there, got the T-shirt. This aint comedy this us facts.
The reality of this video is insane. It happens every day!!
This dude mad funny 😂
I worked for a contractor that when you came back from being on comp
you would go to the top of the layoff list and then they would not call you back
Sounds like an easy legal case.
Happens all the time sadly
You would think that, but they get away with it somehow
oooo, forklift skit, sort of. you should make one about how the company wants you to ride your forklift from the entrance to where the punch in is on the other side of the building despite there being a punch in right next to the forklifts. this happened to me. they said the punch next to the lifts was for management only, and they highly encouraged us to ride the lift to punch in, even though if we hurt someone doing it we'd be off the clock and going against policy.
fuuuuuu. I hated that place.
I mean there’s a damn cone, come on people. If there’s a cone there’s a problem!
Love these videos 😂
One of these three guys is getting fired first..and I know which one.. lol.
I'm thinking of putting a job application in their today!
These videos brighten 💩 days💗
Yooo legal eagle fot name dropped
I want laugh but I'm angry that is true!😅
Chemical plant guys know how accurate this is.
You should do a skit about lazy union workers.
Pretty sure thats covered under his road workers videos talking about 15 year jobs to patch a hole in the road with a three man crew, one to work, two to watch.
They have the same attitude about FMLA too. You got to leave , your fathers dying of congestive heart failure, he can't die unless he has permission from the company. Just ask them. You go fix his oxygen machine get him calmed down. Come back to work................write up!
You and Ricky should do a skit
When ya gona do that?
Dude these companies need to be sued 😕😕
I keep telling myself there's no way the things in these videos are real. But I know they are 😥
Great content! But the camera moves a little too much in this video. I got motion sickness from it.
