Merry Christmas! I hear it in your voice, your in luuuuuuvvvvvve! I felt like that with my Concours14 when I started riding it. Just did 400 miles to see my brother and loved just riding it again for distance touring here in the states. Thanks for the ride this morning.
2 things I have to say love the new bike I fully understand the Ducati thing! The last is you are the reason Iv just brought a trk502x for myself as a Christmas present
You will have a blast, they are the best bikes. And arguably as good a tourer as anything else on the market for a bargain price. If I was touring alone I would have stuck with the trk and already miss the ease of riding it. And you've bought the X version which is even better, massive front forks, spoke wheels and a centre stand. Please let me know how you get on with it, I reckon you'll be off exploring further and further because it's so easy and comfortable to ride. Having a decent tank bag is a game changer too, and I managed to fit a tank Lock kit to it to make it easier. I did a video about it so I hope it helps. Thanks for watching, have a great Christmas, and stay safe buddy 👍
@@wsmvI was about to ask you, in that video which ring did you use? As Iv ordered the same bag but didn’t know the ring you chose as I’m following your install! I can’t wait mate tbh me and the Mrs are heading to Dunkirk early 2024 on it
Tiger seal will do the trick, I used sugru because it goes rock solid. If you've ordered the same givi bag it comes with the plastic ring that you need to cut to fit. Dunkirk is amazing, there's a beautiful seafront that we parked the trk on and it looked lovely in the French sunshine. The only other change I made (but didn't film it) was replacing the rear sprocket for a smaller one to reduce the revs at motorway speed but it's not essential, the engine is pretty much bullet proof from what I've found and been told 👍
@@Vysies_adventureshow are you finding the benelli?? I'm off to my benelli dealer tomorrow to look at a 1 year old one with 600 on the clock for £4500...time to upgrade my himalayan.
How’s this big bike handle for you on serious hairpins and mountain passes? It’s my only concern of such a big powerful bike. I have a tiger 800 and it’s gotten a bit dull and also top heavy for slow stuff and the right twisties I ride in the Smokey mountains. Really having trouble talking myself out of the MTS1200, can’t stop looking at them. Thanks for the solid content!
Hi Nathan, and thank you for watching. I have to say I think the multistrada handles tight hairpins and low speed maneuvers really well. I did the stelvio pass fully loaded and 2up without any issues by reading the road, traffic and speed early like you would on any bike. The only time I've had a problem was once last year I had a false neutral coming out of a corner which caused a bit of worry while 2up but that can happen on any bike. I think the sporty nature of the MTS means it's weighted lower down so definitely feels less heavy to maneuver, and with some decent rubber actually feels really sporty. I would search the multistrada on pikes peak to see that it's one of the best for mountain passes, held the record for many years and ducati made it an important part of their motorsport development. Hope you find the right bike my friend, enjoy those passes, I'm sure the roads are awesome there, stay safe and have a great new year 😎👍
@@wsmv2up loaded on step up pass is a valid test and I’m glad to hear the 1200 succeeded. @julianpowell6355 no far from it. Everyone has a budget, and if I'm honest the only reason I changed to the ducati was because I felt riding through Europe 2up and fully loaded was too much to ask of a 46bhp bike, the quality of the bike had no bearing in the decision. I fitted a screen extension, looks 💩, but really works well! 🙂👍
Might be worth a try, with the Puig screen, if only for trips..........and they're cheap!!
I've just bought a standard one to cut, but if it doesn't work I'll give an extension a go, cheers grumps. Have a great Christmas bud, hope I see you in the new year 👍
Beautiful bike!!
Thanks Patrick 😎 👍
Absolutely love it mate!!
Thanks bud, its given me my ducati mojo back 😁👍
Very nice. Early Christmas pressie eh? 😀
Thanks bud, yeah I had to treat myself 🤣
Congratulations another Ducati 🎉
Thanks Kev, I'm a socket for an Italian 🇮🇹
Wowsers. Good plan!
Thanks John, I really can't wait 🇨🇵🇧🇪🇹🇴🇮🇹🇦🇹🇩🇪 🏍
Great vlog, surprised that’s not your forever bike…..or are you building yourself up for the GS?!
I'm not sure I'll end up on a GS even though they are the best at what they do without any doubt, but I reckon a ciuoke of years and I'll be on a multi1260 or even a V4 😍
Amazing, what a bike
She's a beauty mate, just what I need.
Until I can afford the v4 version 🤣🤣
Oh boy! POWER!!!!
😁 gotta love power 😁
Nice one bud, she's a beauty 👍
Thank mark, I do love it, but do miss the ease of the benelli a bit 👍
@@wsmv You've done it now, the torque is addictive. That Benelli is a cracking bike but l fully understand your reasoning, two up riding needs a bit more power
You'd have been fine on the Autobahn with the Benelli but you'll be better on the Ducat... Good choice👍🏍️💨💨💨💨😸
Thanks Nikki, the multi was absolutely awesome on the trip, I do miss the ease and simplicity of the bevelling though 😁
@wsmv aaahh.....the bevelling🏉💨💨🤔😸🍻👍
🤣🤣 #benelli 🤣🤣
Great ✋️ 😊
Cheers Larry, merry Christmas bud 🎅👍
Lovely bike. Not as loud as my mate Nigel's though - he had to short shift when we did the track in France and ended up winning to "Mr Smooth" award 😂
Congratulations. Luigi was the Monster. What's this one called?
You got a bit of action in the helmet area there towards the end 😂
🤣🤣 would normally have to pay good money for that sort of action 🤣🤣
Yep the monster was called Louigi, this one is named DiGi, after Fabio Di Giannantonio in motogp, the happiest man on the circuit 🤣
@@wsmv nice 👌
Hi real rippa m8 miles of smiles 😊
I have always loved ducatis, I blame carl fogarty 🏍😎👍
Sexy that is 😍 I hope it serves you well and you both have many safe and happy miles aboard. Congratulations 😎
Thanks SB, adventure tourers are the way forward now at my age 🤣
Have a great Christmas buddy, and wishing you and twinks a great 2024 👍
Tractors are king !! 😏
🤣🤣 no argument from me 🤘
Have a great Christmas 🎅👍
@@wsmv you too have a great Christmas 🎄
Nice bike, I'd either kill myself or loose my license 😂
Surprisingly easy to ride sensibly..... but who wants to do that 🤣🤣
