You should add insulation between the allthread and batteries, the threaded rod would have no problem wearing through the cell shrinkwrap which would short two or more cell cases together.
You could flip the plate upside-down and use middle 2 holes to put a handle and use the flanged part as a support if you were putting into say a rv floor storage space. Just an idea 💡
+1 for a great back build. I'll point out that polyamide tape like Kapton has a dielectric strength almost 3 times greater, and a 6" wide roll can add less than 1mm to the thickness of each cell,; is fire, chemical, & radiation resistant up to 400C; and can be had for under $30. Available in narrower & wider widths of course.
I have been watching you for well over a year I’m ready to make my power wall looks clean just looking for a another alternative to my generator in case I want to run at night 12 hrs max will this be a good choice solar recharge 48 volt thanks ✌️love your channel great ideas
Might think about selling plastic flanged nut covers to go along with your printed boards and connector plates. Of all the people supplying various electrical equipment that have bolt-down terminals it seems nobody includes something so simple and yet so necessary for safety.
If you look up the Mitsubishi imiev 2012. You can find general data. I have a screen shot of it . But I’ve tried and a buddy of mine too. We can’t get these to swell.
Hey Great video, do you think these parts are available to the UK? Also could this all be put in a battery box and used as a trolling motor battery? Can get warm in the boxes out in direct sunlight
I am considering 2 of the 6-pakcs so I can make three separate 12v systems. I want to replace our gate battery, a spare for the UTV, and replace the single, simple deep cycle that is on the RV at the moment. The missing component is a waterproof case. Has anyone seen anything that would fit these, or ideas on making some? Considered making some in fiberglass that would be strong enough to double as the compression solution and remove the possibility of the allthreaad wearing into the case.
Doesn't the cell manufacturer tell with what pressure they should be compressed? Is it irrelevant if they lay vertically or horizontally? and is a BMS not integrated?
fish paper is used in all sorts of electrical applications. that chinese fish paper is fine for cell insulators. i wouldn't trust it for much else tho.

I like to sleeve the allthread in vinyl tubing or pex. Don't know if these plates allow enough space to the cells to do that though.

Hell yeah I love kapton tape, if it’s good enough for jpl is good enough for me
@@jehugarciahey J for car audio on my 148ah bank what Balancer do you recommend thanks .
Epoxy insulation plates for encasing the outer perimeter of the battery is the best imo
If you’re gonna mount the pack on a metal surface, be sure to add an insulation layer at the bottom of the cells.
Learning from your work even though I have no idea
Moving on up ! Looks like another great battery!
Great video per usual thanks for the time it took to teach others how to DIY it 😊
I love your battery videos.
So glad i found your channel.

Off topic can you help me find a bird air battery...& I bought yor t60 charger wer is the reset button on the air bird battery,,,thanks

I thought you werent supposed to compress Li batts?
Waiting on the 48v and bms
Epoch times opinion;
business is always right and we should always do Best By business
Noice... just in the middle of building this exact battery out of 100ah EVE cells. Gotta build this compression setup, thanks 🤙
can this safely be mounted on a stepvan wall?
It's funny how he has a battery pack in every corner lol
Could I 3d printed my compression plates?
What do these cells weigh?
Not sure you will see this, but I am curious why you don't sell these boards for other prismatic cells. I see they are selling 500ah cells now.
Because I have 74ah cells, I don’t have 500ah ones yet

The battery God
BMW LiFePo4 3.2V 74Ah 200A continuous 600A burst
balancing is it needed for 74 ah car audio
Yes
You really need to cover the threaded rods with sleeving
Please Jehu, when will the "LG NMC POUCH CELLS 71AH" be available on your site again.
Sorry those are all gone
How much cost this battery with information with its power pls spare a little time as i m intreted too
Will they work with the 48V boards?
No i have 48v versions
Link for the battery type?
Do you offer a battery box for this bank??👀
No, you hace source that yourself
Can these be used as an automotive battery replacement in a normal car with an alternator?
That’s what they are used in bmw cars
I'd like to build a 36 Volt battery out of those cells for my 36 Volt EZGO Golf Cart. Is this possible ? Thanks
Yes, use 12cells in series for 36v
How I can connect this 2 power banks to have more ah?
Connect them in parallel

Raw cells, no spec sheet so far, did you watch the video?
@jehugarcia
Ok, and when they ship, they don't provide a datasheet.. or did they just fall off a trailer 😆
Just kidding
🎉
Very nice

🤔Must be the BMWs from North America, the I3 cells I know in the UK are completely different. 12s NCM
The 12v battery not the track pack
@@jehugarcia aah that explains it...Great, thank for replying.
Samsung SDI is main pack cell for i3
💯👍
Saludo,me gustaría armar un proyecto de 12 celdas de esas para un sistema de car audio, soy de republica dominicana
So what is the endgame ?
I don’t play games
@@jehugarcia that's a really dumb reply .
