When my mother died, she had a large stack of craft magazines. I donated them to the senior center along with many of the craft items she had. They really appreciated it. Another place you can give this type of things is a nursing home.

Yes! I decluttered mine recently too - they get buried in the bottom and you end up forgetting about them! ☺

In certain cases, I have things preorganized, like the sink-one, I have a box there, with my dishesrack on top. I barely have cleaningproducts (ever since I watched Aurikatarina on RUclips, I know that dishsoap and vinegar are enough for most of the dirt.)
And I have a seperate pile/box for my ugly, torn undies, that will serve for special lady purposes once a month until the pads have ripped the fabric up too much and then we say our goodbyes.
Also, I have candles without scent, I do recommend to have a pack, for emergencies.

Another way I work a few minutes of decluttering into a normal day. Look in your drawer and swear to yourself that you are going to wear an item in there like a p[air of jeans you haven't put on in a few years. The rule is if you change out of it at any point during that day, you must get rid of it. I ran through like 5 pairs of jeans and 4 bras in one day and found that every single pair of jeans was too small and uncomfortable and every bra was old and saggy and I was forced to come to grips with the fact that I hated wearing any of it and I did this without devoting a ton of time. Both items are bulky items, so it cleared alot of space out fast.

The hardest thing for me to declutter is old birthday, etc cards and pictures my grandchildren have colored for me. I did declutter my kids’ pictures when they grew up 😮. But my grandchildren are still young ❤

YES - SAME about the cards!!! I have started picking the best of the best cards and storing them in a shoebox. And then for the pictures I have been taking photos and recycling the pictures :)

I keep special cards etc in archival page protectors in a lever arch file/ring binder. Sometimes I put some card in the page protector to make it more sturdy.
I know that most people throw cards etc away but I can’t do that. These things are really special to me.
With my niece & nephew’s drawings etc I’ve also saved these in page protectors & if they are too big to fit in them I’ve had them photocopied.

You just gave me the idea to put some of them in a binder. My 2 year old granddaughter loves looking through the little photo album of herself that was a present to us. I bet she’ll love a book of her art work when she’s older.

Great video ~ you're keeping us on our toes! Later today I've scheduled decluttering the top compartment of my wardrobe (completely lost track of what's in there!) as so often stuff springs out when I open the wardrobe doors. I shall be hauling the whole lot out onto the bed to sort through :)

Haha my partner and adult daughter have ADHD and they're visual organizers (because out of sight, out of mind) and I just realized as you were talking about the kitchen table that they each have their stuff on one half of the table minus a little eating space. I don't even eat at the table anymore and just let them have at it. Then again, I'm on a different sleeping and eating schedule than they are and I prefer to eat at my computer desk while watching great videos like this so it doesn't really matter.

Apologies if this is later in the video, but a big bang for your buck is going into your phone settings > general > storage > photos and scrolling down to the stuff that takes up the most space. I think it's under "personal videos" but you can actually find the biggest files to review and delete and as you go, the list repopulates with the next largest files. Another great area to declutter is all the files in your texts - its kind of a hidden storage suck - someone sends a gif or video or animated emoji and you can go into storage > texts and scroll down to find the biggest files. And that's if you don't want to just delete all texts outright. I refuse to pay a subscription for the cloud and I think to myself "I took these photos and saved these screenshots, so it should bring me joy to look through them again" rather than feel like a chore lol, so its a good opportunity to declutter.

I have been known to travel internationally with clothes I never really cared for (color wise, fit wise, fabric, didn’t suit my “style”) and after getting to my destination I will leave the airplane outfit. I keep underwear and socks I’m not fond of (same reasonings) and ditch them along the way. That’s my “hack.” 😅

My makeup BAG??? You mean makeup DRAWERS! I have a problem getting rid of rarely used makeup. Or used once! Terrible. Maybe I’ll get rid of one per week and it won’t bother me as much. 🙄

I hear you! It's so hard sometimes too because makeup can be so expensive. I give mine to my mom and sisters if they want anything that doesn't work for me :)

That's a fantastic idea for items like makeup if you have an attachment to it and it's a difficult/overwhelming category for you to declutter.
