    I've preferred polos to tees since I was a kid, even when they were out of fashion. And you're absolutely right about a low-price polo being a better option if it fits; that's why I'm lucky that I found such a cheap option for myself.

    My first suggestion, to everyone, is to do the work to GET RID OF THE DAD BOD!! The rest of the fit will come easier. Quality material and quality fit are worth the money most of the time. I am still wearing Polo shirts that I BOUGHT IN THE EARLY 80s. Learn to sew and repair. The fact that you have a skill makes the manufacturer realize that THEY are the option and must work for your purchase.

    I buy my polos from this "hood" clothing store. They have them for about 15 bucks. Thick material and great colors. But the cut is surprisingly flattering for my body. Sleeves are fitted and perfect lenght. Not to short that rides up my armpit and not long that they look sloppy. Colar is not flimsy and it hugs the body nice without showing off my dad bod. It does the contrary, it highlights my good areas and makes me look "buff".

    I wear polos all the time but they have to be the soft cotton polos, the cotton poly blend with the texutre doesn't wear properly. It tends to scrunch up on my shoulders & I look like I have shoulder pads because those aren't really fitted for a muscular guy like myself. But I agree, they're an easy dress up & look great.

    • @TheSaneHatter
      @TheSaneHatter 3 месяца назад

      To each their own: I tend to find the exact opposite. Not only have my cotton-poly shirts of all types typically outlasted pure cotton (at least at my price point), but they dry out more easily and, due to the sensory sensitivities I have as the result of autism, they feel smoother and cooler on my skin. I have also not suffered the same fit-related problems.

    *STOP Wearing Your Polo Wrong! (4 Tips For PERFECTION)*
    - ****00:59** - 🌞** The popped collar trend has been around since the 1920s, originally designed by René Lacoste to protect the neck from the sun.
    - ****01:32** - 📏** Fit is crucial; an inexpensive polo that fits well looks better than an expensive one that doesn't.
    - ****02:10** - 💪** Key fit points: shoulders, chest, torso, and sleeve length. These details make a significant difference in appearance.
    - ****03:06** - 🧵** Polos come in various styles, such as rib-knit cuffs and hem, which can complement different body types.
    - ****04:52** - 🎨** Choosing the right color for your polo is essential; it should complement your complexion, eye color, and natural tones.
    - ****06:05** - 🌲** Different seasons call for different colors: light blues and pastels for spring, bright colors for summer, earth tones for fall, and deep rich colors for winter.
    - ****06:53** - 🕴** Dressing up a polo can work well, but avoid overdoing it; it’s perfect for casual yet stylish events.
    - ****07:45** - 🧥** Layering your polo with a sweater or blazer is a great way to dress it up, but ensure the collar stays in place.
    - ****08:32** - 👔** Polos can be a stylish alternative to t-shirts for a more polished casual look; they add sophistication even to simple outfits like shorts.
    - ****09:01** - 👟** Pairing a polo with streamlined shorts and loafers creates a timeless, respectable look.
