Great video Steve, I got lucky about 7 years ago and found 2 Bluford shops plastic transfer Cabooses at the train show in Indianapolis Indiana after I had used drawings from the Conrail Historical Society to scratch build 2, now another company CMR products is selling 3D printed versions in HO!!! Figures!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@ConrailSteve Hey just spitballing here but if you want a place to model those wheelsets I'm a Trucker and I used to pass by Greenbriar industry which rebuilds wheels and axles for the railroads, check it out on Google earth in Corsicana TX on highway 31, I'm going to use a modelers license to plop one down on my layout once it's finished!!
Thank you again and I plan to keep it going! Part of the reason I started my channel was the lack of Conrail layouts on RUclips at the time and its been nice to see more and more with time.
Thanks again for another great video tour. I like how the weathering on your cars turned out. I've never been a fan of the soldering gun method of deforming the sides of a car.
Your weathering is phenomenal. Caboose 18285 the detailing is amazing. The ballast cars looks great You have done an excellent job on gondola 76004 . Great video. Well done
22131 is like the caboose I seen as a kid. man on the back sitting on a chair, cigar in one hand and I sure a burden in the other, hooked my on Conrail right there
I actually have one of the Bluford caboose’s somewhere but it doesn’t really match any Conrail cars. The Bachmann car is also interesting to see but doesn’t match a Conrail prototype. Although depending on price the Bachmann car may make a good starting point for a kitbash transfer caboose build.
@@ConrailSteve after seeing what you're capable of when it comes to modifying a model, I have no doubt you could mod anything out there to make it prototypical. I'm thoroughly amazed by your work.
Magnificent catches of the model trains, showing the layout and many more, i like it 5 stars. Thumbs up. Keep up the perfect work, just liked and subscribed, Greetings from Portugal to the USA.
Absolutely beautiful layout, keep up the phenomenal work
Thank You!

Thank You! I defiantly won't be using the soldering iron method again myself.
That was a very nice presentation of some your equipment Steve! I've enjoyed watching this series of your roster of cars and engines. Cool stuff!
Thank you for watching!

Bachmann just released some transfer cabooses. Don't know if that's quite what you're looking for. Bluford made some as well. They had Conrail
