- In this video I walk you through diagnosing and understanding DTC P0134. I do tackle a theory I have which involves the DTC setting due to oil contamination due to a valve cover oil leak. Also, I go over some basic theory and tools used for the job.
Very well put together video. Everything you demonstrated and explained made perfect sense. Thank you for posting.
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you Sir, for a very clear and concise explanation. My valve cover is the culprit as well.
Watch my other video on valve cover gasket replacement. Apparently proper torque is the key to eliminate oil leaks.
One of my o2 sensors died at roughly the exact same mileage as yours. Think it was the driver's side senor though. I replaced both at that time. 2005 Gen 3 Montero. 🍻
I had this code plus P0300 could a back o2 sensor cause both these codes ?
no, o2 sensor will not cause P0300 but fix the p0134 first.
@@jime.angulo4151 yeah I’m having it done on Friday
@@jime.angulo4151 that’s crazy you knew the code without me saying it I know you are a real mechanic thank you for the response
Had my mechanic replace it and CEL was back on within a day. Taking it back in tomorrow. Could it just be a bad sensor
let me know what happened..
Dude.... Don't ever touch the sensor with your fingers like you did when you greased it in.
that is a mith, it's still working perfectly after more than 1 year.
