This whole bullying theme seems pretty common in teen dramas, mainly Asian but also American. This has always been quite incomprehensible to me because in my country such things do not happen. I remember in junior high school I had a girl in my class who didn't have friends because she was a bit weird, but no one teased her and everyone talked to her. In high school, we were basically already adults, so no one thought about such childish things as teasing someone, I even had a disabled girl in my class and everyone tried to help her. I wonder if it's all exaggerated for dramatic effect, or if this kind of bullying really happens in American schools and Asian schools.
I was bullied in 6th grade & no one did anything. "My friends" just stood there and watched the girl pulled my ponytails, pushed me, etc. and make me cried & I was with the highest grades in the class & I felt at my lowest. Thank you to God that helped me get thru that year.

He started at me on the wrong day when I was hot, tired, thirsty and not in a good mood for it and had been to my Tang Soo-Do class. It only took one strike to his solar plexus. The look on his face after he bounced off the preheating stove was priceless.
this type of bullying is extremely common in korea, thats why when it comes out that a Korean celebrity was a bully im school, it is taken very seriously
Don't be so quick to believe that it wasn't there just because YOU didn't see it. My brother and I got bullied to hell and back in our peaceful homeland of Norway, yet teachers and others did not believe us. My brother was almost killed, and I was pushed down hills, but no one spoke, no one helped. Nothing. I was always the quiet one, the shy one wearing gothic "emo" clothing, that everyone thought weird, even though I was ironically kinder than all of them combined. But they never knew me, they instead destroyed me, for no reason at all.

Unfortunately bullying happens in schools, families and the workplace. It’s everywhere. Every time I here of a person’s suicide because of bullying, it breaks my heart…..especially when it involves children.
I live in Australia and it’s a shameful thing in our schools as it is around the world. 🌎 😢
9/10 at least in the western world, suicide is caused by more than just bullying. In Asian dramas different because in Korean Chinese and even Korean school systems they often base their attitude often on their families position. It happens mostly in Chinese schools but it also happens in Japan and Korea as well. Bullying actually gets really bad in Asian countries not because it’s encouraged but because there are many times where students aren’t supervised. It’s a growing problem In Japan as well because there is part of school where kids are sometimes completely disconnected from their families and some go missing because of it all. Look up 47 days of hell In Japan. It was a case where a group of 3 boys kidnapped and raped a female student they went to school with and tortured her. After it all she was murdered by the main ring leader of the little group and they stuffed her in a barrel of cement and dumped her in a creek.
I felt so heart broken about it when I read the news report. There are a lot of good and bad people In the world. Living in the western world, I grew up being isolated often and was neither hated or liked but was feared by those who tried to bully me. I was a violent kid growing up. But I grew up learning to use my violence to protect myself.
I guess my calm and overly serious personality intimidated everyone around me.
But anyways there were kids I spoken to online who spoke about suicide and I hated it. These same kids are loved by many friends online and loved at school. Their problems were small and kids overly focus on their small problems forcing them into a state of sadness and depression. I know that feeling well growing up as well but I never once loss focus of reality like I’ve seen kids done.
The only time out of the 11 kids I spoken to who spoke about suicide only 1 that made big time news and was actually attempted. It was this Canadian girl who was showed her body to her crush online and he turned around and spread those nudes of her all over their school. She was picked on and bullied and even when she tried to kill herself the first time and failed she was bullied for that as well.
Kids are cruel and it is true. But at is life and you need to learn to love yourself and prioritize yourself over others.

Oh I'm so going to have to watch this because of Woo Do Hwan, loved him in his drama Mad Dog , in fact even though I'm on episode 14 of that one I'm going to re start it over .it's becoming one of my all time favorite series. So hopefully so will this one

In my country bullying gets punished with juvenile prison and labor service; my government does not take bullying lightly. All the videos I see and stories I hear about bullying in Korea and America and other countries, I don't get how it's still so rampant. You'd think better-developed countries would be better developed where it matters.

Ironically, she herself was accused of the very same thing. But because she's a celeb, and the victims are nobodies, many think she couldn't possibly have done it. Got to love the entire "can do no wrong" surrounding celebs. Most of you have double standards. You can't dislike some bullies, but accept others.
@@profbawbag6604, agreed. When I was on active duty 1974-81 I had a few who tried to bully me also. I'm usually a nice person but people hate it when my attitude changes. Some people can tell when it's about to happen and the others are out right surprised.

@@ThePricklyash I see that, but things can always get worse. Fighting back can result in total ostracization from society; i.e. imprisonment or homelessness as a teen.
Fighting back often harms the victims instead of the bullies. In Korea money rules. Rich people can destroy your entire family. Apparently one of the bullies in this drama has ties to the police so the victim can't do anything (legally). Corruption, you know?
Also, it's always easier to say "just fight" when it's not happening to you. Bullying can be mentally and physically destructive and paralyzing.
