Jack, you simply MUST take yourself and the old man to Goodwood FOS and drive those perfectly restored v8 supercars hard (don't be soft) up that hill. You will never forget a memory like that and the poms love our v8 SC's...
Nothing better than a Perkins father and son combo at Goodwood...
Great inside story episodes too btw 👍

Castrol is an international brand. There's a perfect sponsor. Make a documentary of the preparation and trip and job done.
Imagine Larry and Jack in their own race winning cars thrilling the huge crowds at Goodwood. Gold.

Thanks for a great couple of video's. As a kid, I always imagined the great drivers as being able to get cars for free and splash money around on racing, I'm sure others may have had a similar perception.. Jack with out big detail, shows how really it is probably one of the hardest ways to make a living. Hundreds of hours in building, more in repairs, chasing sponsors, the unseen time virtually volunteered. I remember the vb to vs era well, and it was probably my favourite because of the little guys like Larry and the availability for privateers and these small teams to run and be competitive. Anyway, thanks again for a very enjoyable and informative video's.

Larry's always loved his tractors. Such a great channel. Love the cars. Perkins Holden always stayed loyal to Holden. 💯😂🇦🇺👏😎

I grew up in a Ford family as a Ford fan. I will never forget asking my dad if he would ever support a Holden. He said “I will always support Larry Perkins, his cars look good and his a top guy”.
At the time I didn’t know what that meant other than the good looking race cars; especially in Castrol livery. But as I’ve watched the content coming from Jack and Larry I’ve really learnt to understand that. Both Jack and Larry seem like top guys, which is so good to see. Jack may not have been as successful as his dad but I’m so glad that he owns the car that brought him his success, you can see how much that means to him.
At the end of the day what’s a victory if no one wants to support you after the fact. Skaife, SVG, Wincup eat your heart out. The Perkins family are bigger champions than you will ever be.

Except Larry is a legend and was an amazing driver.
You see a lot of sons of legend drivers not live up to their fathers legendary skills, unfortunately, Jack is one of those.

Larry is a true legend of Australian motorsport. I remember being glued to my tv the year he started Bathurst from last place and ended up winning the race! Still an un-replicated event, the single best driving performance of all time. Even more impressive than Peter Brock breaking the lap record on the last lap and winning the race a lap or more ahead of the field... (Not by much, both were the pinnacle of driving performance in our country)
