Our resident potter Claire has been tinkering and toiling away in the ceramics studio at Cotes Mill to produce an ever-growing range of classic tabletop items for the kitchen, from little espresso cups to grand pouring bowls and colanders. Claire is also a true expert with colour; her incredible knowledge and almost scientific approach to glaze chemistry is simply fascinating. She has created a collection of beautiful glazes that just make us so happy, the gentle colours are stunning.
It’s good for the soul to buy something that will last and age, something that isn’t just throwaway or mass-produced and so we are really excited to be able to offer all of our customers these handcrafted and beautiful items for the home. We have always been driven by quality and making things that are beautiful and practical and have a longevity that makes them almost heirlooms.

Thank you so much. We set up a ceramics studio a couple of years ago as a bit of a challenge and it's now well and truly thriving. Most of our ceramicists and makers are young graduates. We are giving creative, artistic young people the opportunity to do a thing they love, which is rare these days but something we are so proud of.

Thank you, we had all of these cool outbuildings at our Cotes Mill showrooms and they're just perfect for little studio spaces. Our favourite spot is the pottery wheel where you can look out of the old lattice window onto our beautiful grounds.
