As someone who has flown small aircraft for a number of years, your choice of pilot placement was the best I've seen re the CG for the pilot since it was below the props and not above them like most designs I've ever seen. If you have the time and inclination I would appreciate being able to pick your brain since these are the next step in aircraft for personal use by those of us who just need to get off the ground for a little while with no particular destination in mind. Thank you for sharing.
Я думаю для личных полетов дешевле и проще всего и возможно безопасней- автожир. Вертикальный взлет - дорогое удовольствие. Автожир всегда готов к приземлению, в отличие от подобных конструкций.
The main problem with this design is that the pilot gets the full wind force of the propellers on themselves. If the blades are under the pilot, the majority of airflow is under the pilot.
Very extraordinary...!! Apart from being a modern vehicle, this one is also very suitable for helping disaster victims in places that are difficult to reach by ordinary vehicles, if the ability of this vehicle is increased. May God bless you. Good luck!
Much better, safer, seeing the props on top. This is perfect for someone who has access to, or owns a lot of land and just wants to fly a low altitudes for fun !
This configuration seems way more compact than most other people build, in terms of footprint. Also probably easier to stabilise which should be good for energy consumption.
put some suspension on it. a catastrophic system failure would make you plumet and in that seated position you could hurt your spine. but this is a fantastic thing you've built here
The first drone that makes sense, you're below the props. It will be interesting as to how stable it is after he flight tests it multiple times. I 've seen homemade drones that are rock steady, so I have no doubt his will be one of the more successful manned drones.
@@andreasjanssen8095 @ Andreas Janssen, Something you might consider would be going to a larger diameter airfoil [ small custom helicopter blades ]. You can then reduce the rotor speed, thus making it considerably quieter. You might also consider using a single motor with a belt drive turning all 4 rotors / well controlling the aircraft's flight via blade pitch /via a single metal servo on each of the 4 rotors. This would likely save weight and be much safer, Belt drives are very reliable and quiet. Here is a similar design. Your design also allows the use of a ballistic chute should a failure occur. Note how much quieter the larger blades on the Manta ray are. ruclips.net/video/uuExXFCCDgA/видео.html
You are very. very. very. very. very. very. very. genius genius genius. genius. Genius, thank you very much, and I congratulate you for this work, and also a few words for you. smart and talented
I’ve been wondering for years now why all these “manned drones“ (a misnomer if I ever heard one) didn’t have the payload underneath the thrust plane. It’s nice to finally see one. It’s obviously more stable. I guess those other guys are depending on computer stabilization and there’s nothing wrong with that but Using that same stabilization with this configuration seems much better.
Very cool build, and by putting the weight down low, a safe one as well. Made me think.. for safety, how feasable would it be to have a modular frame, with ejectable arms. As the props are the main hazard in flight for a parachute system, would it make sense to eject the arms when in trouble, cutting power and removing the slashing/ burning hazard so to speak. When 1 prop goes wonky, you lose all controll. In a deathroll caused by that, a parachute would get tangled up real fast. Timing a parachute is iffy as well, so there is a "safe zone" without parachute deployment (low height and speed), and with parachute- at height where a parachute can unfold safely, slowing you down.. Difficult to get right, but neccesary to fly safe. Without a backup like that, it still is fun and awesome.. but dangerous. Stay safe.
That’s so smart to just cut the power and then deploy I was overthinking it. Must be a additional feature on chute and separate from regular system. Able to be checked in preflight maybe
@@samsaracoyote8556 Your'e not thinking of the tumbling motion.. Cutting the power leaves the props in the way of cables, ready to tangle up your chute. Forcefully expelling your hazards, and expelling your parachute upwards limits the activation height to a minimum.
question :is 3 or 4 blades propellers not more efficient? what about foldables blades ? sugestion : add spring on foots and seat fixed joystick and pedal ? estimated cost under10k$
Double the motors and props would allow for some redundancy in case you lose a prop or motor and would add more control. I like the idea of the props up and away from the pilot but if you were to introduce a chute, which would be smart, how would you be able to deploy it?
I'm working on plans to build something similar. Would you tell me what motors you used, where you got them, and how much weight they can lift? Thanks!
this is amazing i fill like one day i will own my drone but my biggest problem is material like giant motor and better so how could you help me to gate that
You should add acro mode to it, and perhaps 3d flight so you can invert and do crazy manuevers fpv pilots and RC helicopter pilots do but in person Good luck with G forces tho

Does a low center of gravity really help with stability? Isn't this a case of the rocket pendulum fallacy?

Endurance = -15 miniutes plus IFR reserves. 🤣🤣
@@DerKrawallkeks Agree, I think it is the rocket pendulum fallacy yes.
Light, balanced, comfortable and strong enough to take flight. You are a genius.
nothing more fun than riding your own built human drone on your own huge ass property...lifes good
Thats not his property thats a playing field , Sports field .
Yes thats right
Someone finally builds a man made drone the right way with the blades above the pilots heads.💯💯💯💯💯
The main problem with this design is that the pilot gets the full wind force of the propellers on themselves. If the blades are under the pilot, the majority of airflow is under the pilot.
Jimmy F. Build a canopy to shrill them
This thing bounce/hoover not once in vid did it go over a distance

I hate to be the one to point this out, but, helicopters.
This is best real drone build i ever see... perfect low sit under prop and gravity for control your plane... many ppl build sit at upper the prop...
yes, thank you. You are understand
I agree this is incredible. Congratulations
This is why I'm a physics lover. Cheers up for physics
This is the best built I've seen. Absolutely a fantastic job all around. Bravo...............bravo..........bravo !!!!!!!!!
Thank you
Very good work. I appreciate you showing the parts and manufacturers.

Great design. I like the full enclosure. Reminds me of the lunar lander.
This is nice. A very nice project

why would it be easier to stabilize?
Much safer than anything else like the Scorpion hoverbike or Omni hoverboard ... This man cares about his legs ... Good job brother ...

Good job bro.... nice design. Feeling more safe! Expecting more confident on your product to fly high 👌😀😍

It works perfectly now very stable, yes the props are the safest way, also I have one time intentionally chrashes and the cell works very well.
