We are off lets grow this channel for the lads to take on the world and show with a good attitude what can be achieved. God Bless your journey to great success.
I love seeing what you guys are eating next. I’m from the US, and while we have the kind of food you eat, it’s not easily found. Keep up the good work guys! S/V Black Heart
Rob truly is an incredible chef, plus people in the US often say things about British food, but truly they have no idea, so it’s nice to hear you appreciate it. Thanks for the comment, and all the best🫡
Getting of the dock is half the mission, well done lads! In general, boat stands for "bring out another thousand" so things wil go wrong all the time, just be prepared. On the sailing side, please use the main sail, it's the main for a reason. Set it first heading in to the wind on motor and then set the rest. It has to do with mast loading, since the main is attached over the whole mast length and is supported by the main sheet, it supports the mast. The headsails only pull from 1 point on the mast. So keep your main up to keep your mast on. The more you sail the cheaper it is, so get that down properly. Good luck boys
I have sailed my Nicholson 38 (hull no 28) around the world in 1970 / 73. Make sure that you have the engine hatch totally sealed, and the cockpit lockers as well. Cheers, and good sailing.
Just came across your vids and they are proper. Honestly looking forward to watching this adventure. When you make it to New Zealand I’ll shout you all a pint or two for sure
Gerrup, Geddin Ohhhh.Y.Zeeee!! Cheers for the name check and glad you enjoyed your visit to the Isle of Man and our Lifeboat Station. My crew mates send their best wishes for the journey. Stay safe, have fun. Onwards and upwards lads!! Cair Vie
Really enjoying your videos. You are about 14 months ahead of us. Ours is a 1977 Rival 38 centre cockpit ketch so very similar. We are aiming to leave Beaumaris, Anglesey next August aiming for Plymouth via the Scillies.
@@OutsideYourZone round south and east UK spring 2026, Stockholm archipelago in Baltic & Göta Canal that summer. From Tasmania. Love the boat the drama, the conviction, dedication. The boy's! If you ever make it down to Tasmania I have a bush block with a mooring waiting for you guys to camp on. Plenty of fish. Love your enthusiasm, makes me laugh. Old sailer, Bonesy
Great to see your update guys. Channel is coming on heaps and bounds now 14k+ subs. Awesome!! You really have been putting the Hydrus through its paces by the looks. Lets discuss getting an updated H7 soon. Keep up the good work. I'll share this in my group.
Now this is what life is about. I have had this dream of doing the same you guys are doing, but I'm over 50, have kids, work and all that. So for now, I do my boating and motorcycle adventures on weekends and holydays 😀 But for the first time I can call myself Admiral, and Im looking forward to watching your adventure here on youtube. Good luck guys. As we say here in Norway. Hold Fast 🤘
Yay, skipper got a proper PFD! Hope the jack lines are set up down the centre of the boat, not down the side decks. Tip: set the main sail up first to improve stability as you motor. Let the genoa out behind the main to keep the furling under control.
Congratulations on your first week of an incredible journey. That first fish was actually a Coalfish, you can tell by the straight bright lateral line and the bottom lip does not stick out further than the top lip! and pollack having a slightly curved darker lateral line with a pertruding bottom lip. However, I think they may taste the same I am unsure. Best of luck continuing your journey around the world!! loving the fishing aspect too.
You guys are awesome!!! Keep it up!!! Having a proper adventurous youth!!!! Power to you!!! I thoroughly enjoyed my youth sailing and traveling .Keep having fun!!
Brave lads eating limpets. We only tried them once and then considered our shoes for desert😉. Seriously, never take chances with the sea. Check and recheck everything. Stow all gear securely. One big wave can cause havoc. Keep the bilge clean as you may need that whale pump one day. Happy sailing guys.
as a boy in UK poole harbor, i caught and ate limpets(bait) and pollack. had my own trailer sailor, now in australia 77 with lots of memories travelling in my wild youth, settled in victor harbor .south australia. i will vicariously be with you boys, be good ,THE LORD IS WATCHING YOU.
Be sure to visit Garfo Torto , Vila do Conde - when you’re passing through N. Portugal. Full of admiration and will keep my eyes peeked for a blue boat with orange stickers.
@@OutsideYourZone No problem - fair winds, wherever they take you . I’m sure there are so many adventures waiting to be had and other meals to enjoy. Anywhere remotely Portuguese , the Azores for example, see if you can get a francesinha - it’s breakfast dinner and tea waged down with a Super Bock . 👍
Very excited for you all...& wishing you safe passages & wonderful adventures! I must have missed it....but, what's happened to the other yacht that you bought? 🤔
Inspiring stuff lads. You'll love the Isles of Scilly but watch those rocks, there's a serious number of wrecks around the Islands. Stay save and keep on living the dream.

Good going lads. You have the perfect mix of youthful recklessness and taking the whole thing seriously. Great to see the PFDs and tethers in use!
Youthful recklessness at sea is a very dangerous thing!!
Well done and the best of luck. You're one hell of a team and an inspiration to all the youth out there.
Thank you mate, trying to inspire as many people as possible 🫡
Well done you’re underway at last, wishing you blokes fair winds and kindly seas!
