- Brian Rose was a race car driver that followed in his father’s footsteps, just not in the way you think. David Rose, the father, was convicted of fraud and tax evasion in 2009, settling for just over $15 million. But his son, a former NASCAR driver, had to one up him by spearheading a $15 million Ponzi scheme. This scheme would fund his racing career on his second attempt at NASCAR, after he was first suspended by NASCAR in 2003 after failing to submit to a NASCAR drug test, then getting arrested just months later for possession of illegal substances. Yeah, so we have a lot to get into.

Nascar in that early 2000s era had some interesting crooks and characters for sure.
NASCAR has always had schemers, scammers and crooks.
Imagine a sport born out of criminal activity attracting criminals...
And some of them are still around
Fun fact, Brian was my teammate in my Salem SuperCar Series series for Kimmel Racing
I was in the #68, Brian drove the #69
69. Nice
Nice 😏
Oh btw, he’s trying to make a comeback now. He’s racing in Will Kimmels Salem Super Cup Series.
Why would anyone hire him?
Vast majority of drivers pay for their ride, or find a sponsor. Only a handful are indeed “hired”.
very suspicious circumstances around the family home burning down. Dude was a known doper all the way back to his late model days at Nashville
The apple doesn't fall far from the tree. But the horseapple doesn't fall far from the horse's ass!
Wonder who those 2 subscribers could be?
Father and girlfriend maybe?
In the early 2000s, I worked for a race team the run at the Nashville Fairgrounds. I remember Team Robo. Rumor in the garage was that David was crooked and Brian was on something. This is wild. I haven't thought about the Roses in years.
A gun, weed and expired plates? Omg who cares, why was that a big deal? Is this not America?
Perfect example of having genetics sometimes being too powerful to overcome 😂
it blows my mind that all this happened over weed...
what a shit country this is, this mans life was fucked over by a plant that freely grows ANYWHERE. wild.
It’s completely ridiculous. I’ve smoked for 30 plus years. I’ve also done hard drugs for years. Cocaine and crack are dangerous drugs. Weed is nothing like those other drugs at all. Sad that people were arrested and demonized over weed
It seems like the silver spoon drivers always go rogue when their careers flounder. The blue collar guys go back home and start a construction company or something.
He did the DC solar special before DC solar
Yep, I got to train at Bondurant with the son of the dc solar family for a week. Our coach was buddy rice, let’s just say that kid was definitely new to that type of money 😂 wasn’t surprised when they got raided!
LOL! Robo means "robbery" in spanish.
Real racers was in the truck series in the 2000’s - These guy was outlaws like the moonshiners that built the sport - Brian , Mike leffingwell, Trent Owens , Shane hemeil n more
why flash paragraphs quick so they can't be read?
You're capable of pressing pause. The information is there to expand if you'd like. The spoken narrative is also a perfectly fine encapsulation of the story.
@@sprinkle581you wrote it before I could!
@sprinkle581 not very viewer friendly. Not to mention I listen to a lot of videos like this when I'm working and don't watch. Would have missed some good info
@@Digger818on the contrary, it's actually more viewer-friendly this way
@@Digger818 It is far, far more viewer friendly to do it this way. Reading extraneous paragraphs off muddles up the overall narrative. It's just additional detail that CAN be looked at if one would like to.
Brevity is very, very important. Any video could be hours long. It's important that they aren't.
