Bow's anger towards Glimmer was completely justified, and also something both Bow and Glimmer needed. Glimmer needed to offer someone her apologies and acknowledge her mistakes while Bow needed to finally process his emotions about Glimmer's actions in season 4. He obviously didn't want to be upset at Glimmer and desperately wanted her back as his friend, but he knew he needed to create some boundaries because he realized back in season 4 that him being the only one working on a friendship and apologizing to other people isn't a foundation of a healthy relationship. He was willing to forgive Glimmer, he just needed her to apologize and respect him before he did.

I really appreciate that Bow didn't forgive Glimmer right away. Even after saving each other several times throughout the episode, that doesn't mean everything's cool again. Not only is it more realistic, it's necessary to make these characters feel more believable.
Glimmer’s apology to Bow is amazing, because Bow is all about healthy friendships and communication, and a lot of the reason Glimmer acted the way she did was because of a lack of that, which she’s also significantly at fault for. So the apology works two ways: she’s both telling him she’s trying to make up for everything by communicating the same way he does (showing she’s listening) and SHOWING that she’s changing, because she after so long of not communicating with her friends, she’s now making a heel turn through her actions as well. It’s absolutely perfect.
"Catra's not my friend. She used to be, but that was a long time ago. And she tried to kill me a bunch of times since then, but then she saved Glimmer, so maybe that means there's still some good in her. And now, I don't know, it's ... complicated."

I really love the moment at the end of the episode, when Glimmer acknowledges that Adora wants to go back for Catra, and she just gives this sad little nod. She's both anguished over what Catra must be going through and really guilty over jeopardizing their safety by wanting to do this, because she's been conditioned to believe that her whole purpose is to protect and not be allowed to want anything for herself.

Even though I wish more time was spent on Glimmer's apology to Adora, I think her apology to Bow was great. She said exactly where she stood and what her thought process was when she activated the Heart of Etheria, but she said it to clear things up, not to make her seem in the right. She acknowledged her wrongdoings and didn't push Bow to accept her apology, which is how we see it is truly genuine and Glimmer actually learned something from her actions. Glimmer put herself out there and risked rejection and abandonment, which are some of her greatest fears, because she genuinely felt sorry and Bow realized that.
I would've liked to see more of her apology to Adora too but fact is, Adora only got her arc later on. At that point, she still sees being used as a tool as completely normal. SPOILER It's catra that's necessary to make her realize she's allowed to want things.

Not completely unlike the Avatar state: it is activated by life or death situations, but it also can be controlled. What Adora needs to do to learn that... Well, that's the Big question 👀 This episode makes me love Bow especially. He has the greatest, or at least one of the greatest emotional intelligences I've ever seen portrayed on the media. And it inspires me a lot to see him still caring deeply for Glimmer even though he hasn't forgiven her enterily.

This episode is actually pretty great, it's just too bad it gets overshadowed since it's right between two of the best episodes. I do think it's important that it's here so that both the audience and the characters have some time to adjust to Glimmer being back, to slow the pacing a bit, and to create suspense by not showing Catra. And of course, to foreshadow She-Ra coming back as shown in the thumbnail.
This was great. I was looking forward to seeing how you guys would react to Adora semi transforming. I really can’t wait until the next episode. It’s personally my favorite episode, and trust me that is not easy. There are so many great moments in this season. People weren’t kidding when they said it’s the best.

The signal in the earlier season was coming from the First Ones’ tech in the wasteland, because it was Mara’s ship in the Crimson Wastes. There was never another planet involved. Kenny just saw a desert and said “other planet!” xD
I would say, of all the episodes of She-ra, this is the one that feels most like a Teen Titans episode :P that series was a ton of inspiration for She-ra and has several eps where characters get split up in a new place, have fights, apologise to each other, and meet other similar superpowered teens and invite them to the Titans. This episode is really important in context of the wider season. Bow and Glimmer's fight wasn't the most serious, but Bow's feelings are very much taken seriously, he is allowed to be mad at Glimmer while still caring about her, and Glimmer offers a really good example of an apology. I feel like it both enriches the Glimmer/Bow relationship which before this point had been brushed on but not given too much depth, and it makes the rest of the season run smoother; In s5 there's a lot of apologies that go by quickly, for example Adora immediately is like "nothing will tear us apart again" to Glimmer, and you've already seen Taking Control so you see that Adora and Entrapta forgive Catra very quickly, as in their nature, and let's just say that's the running theme, so having an example where it is much harder for Glimmer to get forgiven makes it feel less cheap. Like it's not as easy to forgive as the show might imply, or like NOT forgiving someone doesn't mean that you hate them, Bow still wants to protect Glimmer and he is torn by his feelings.
If that signal thing you're talking about was the thing I'm thinking it was then you've had that answered. The weird ruin that sent the message about mara and the ship WAS the ship in the crimson wastes and then they found it.
Your comment about how the Horde is adopting the typical good guy imagery of The Light and how that's really interesting, and it made me realize that She Ra and by extension, the other princesses, are the REAL embodiment of The Light because white light is comprised of every color! WHITE LIGHT IS LITERALLY A RAINBOW. Horde Prime's whole deal is just a shallow interpretation.

I adore your guys' reactions, I can't wait to see this one! I started watching your channel for the she-ra reactions, but I know it's coming to an end soon, so I have some suggestions. You've probably heard this a billion times before, but I think The Owl House or Amphibia would be something you'd like! I'll give some pointers on each of the shows. Amphibia: -Longer (3 full seasons) -Finished (will probably all be out on Disney+ by the time you get to s3b) -s1 is a bit hard to get through, but it's not bad -really picks up in s2 -my personal favorite, because of the characters and how I got a bit more attached to them -Funnier (personal opinion) -made me cry more The Owl House: -s3 got cut off by Disney, but there's still 3 44 minute specials coming in October (I believe) to wrap up everything -I like most of s1 better, but only because it's a little less rushed (s2 feels a bit rushed because they got canceled) -really amazing animation and voice acting (Amphibia has this too, but it's just on another level for this show) -still funny, but a different kind of humor - I guess a lot of LGBTQ+? (Amphibia hints at it, but never explicity stated) -Almost finished, but will be coming back for shortened season 3 in 5 months Similairites: All in all, both shows are AMAZING! At the start, you think Amphibia is just this silly show about a girl trapped in a frog world, but it proves itself more than that. The Owl House on the other hand, keeps impressing you with how far they're able to go. Both shows have excellent character development, and that's the reason my favorite characters are my favorite. They both go the extra mile and prove children's animation should be taken seriously. The communites are also great for both, take it from me. I hope you take these shows into consideration! If you need any more info, I probably have it after watching these shows for years.
I feel pretty neutrally towards Swifty but as a whole yeah everyone hates him. It always funny seeing how much y'all like him after watching how much every other reactor absolutely hates him lol
I like him in season 4 when he's suffering with Micah, then in season 5 when hes bantering with Scorpia and covering for Entrapta. I think he works best with characters who are sillier/more insane than himself. He doesn't work well with Best Friend Squad at all.

The Mara's Ship message came from... Mara's Ship. It was in the crimson waste desert. That's what you saw at the end of the episode "Signals" (S2E3).

The signal in the earlier season was coming from the First Ones’ tech in the wasteland, because it was Mara’s ship in the Crimson Wastes. There was never another planet involved. Kenny just saw a desert and said “other planet!” xD
I would say, of all the episodes of She-ra, this is the one that feels most like a Teen Titans episode :P that series was a ton of inspiration for She-ra and has several eps where characters get split up in a new place, have fights, apologise to each other, and meet other similar superpowered teens and invite them to the Titans.
This episode is really important in context of the wider season. Bow and Glimmer's fight wasn't the most serious, but Bow's feelings are very much taken seriously, he is allowed to be mad at Glimmer while still caring about her, and Glimmer offers a really good example of an apology.
I feel like it both enriches the Glimmer/Bow relationship which before this point had been brushed on but not given too much depth, and it makes the rest of the season run smoother; In s5 there's a lot of apologies that go by quickly, for example Adora immediately is like "nothing will tear us apart again" to Glimmer, and you've already seen Taking Control so you see that Adora and Entrapta forgive Catra very quickly, as in their nature, and let's just say that's the running theme, so having an example where it is much harder for Glimmer to get forgiven makes it feel less cheap. Like it's not as easy to forgive as the show might imply, or like NOT forgiving someone doesn't mean that you hate them, Bow still wants to protect Glimmer and he is torn by his feelings.

Your comment about how the Horde is adopting the typical good guy imagery of The Light and how that's really interesting, and it made me realize that She Ra and by extension, the other princesses, are the REAL embodiment of The Light because white light is comprised of every color! WHITE LIGHT IS LITERALLY A RAINBOW. Horde Prime's whole deal is just a shallow interpretation.

I adore your guys' reactions, I can't wait to see this one! I started watching your channel for the she-ra reactions, but I know it's coming to an end soon, so I have some suggestions. You've probably heard this a billion times before, but I think The Owl House or Amphibia would be something you'd like! I'll give some pointers on each of the shows.
Amphibia:
-Longer (3 full seasons)
-Finished (will probably all be out on Disney+ by the time you get to s3b)
-s1 is a bit hard to get through, but it's not bad
-really picks up in s2
-my personal favorite, because of the characters and how I got a bit more attached to them
-Funnier (personal opinion)
-made me cry more
The Owl House:
-s3 got cut off by Disney, but there's still 3 44 minute specials coming in October (I believe) to wrap up everything
-I like most of s1 better, but only because it's a little less rushed (s2 feels a bit rushed because they got canceled)
-really amazing animation and voice acting (Amphibia has this too, but it's just on another level for this show)
-still funny, but a different kind of humor
- I guess a lot of LGBTQ+? (Amphibia hints at it, but never explicity stated)
-Almost finished, but will be coming back for shortened season 3 in 5 months
Similairites:
All in all, both shows are AMAZING! At the start, you think Amphibia is just this silly show about a girl trapped in a frog world, but it proves itself more than that. The Owl House on the other hand, keeps impressing you with how far they're able to go. Both shows have excellent character development, and that's the reason my favorite characters are my favorite. They both go the extra mile and prove children's animation should be taken seriously. The communites are also great for both, take it from me.
I hope you take these shows into consideration! If you need any more info, I probably have it after watching these shows for years.

I like him in season 4 when he's suffering with Micah, then in season 5 when hes bantering with Scorpia and covering for Entrapta. I think he works best with characters who are sillier/more insane than himself. He doesn't work well with Best Friend Squad at all.

Bow deserved to show his anger
