I think it's hilarious that Catra's whole plan was based on the fact that she believed Adora would follow her wherever she went at Princess Prom, and that it worked out perfectly.
Catra knows how to press Adora's buttons and she knows how to perfectly use it haha

In all fairness though, it only worked because Glimmer got distracted from keeping tabs on Scorpia for entirely unrelated reasons that Catra couldn't possibly have known about. Catra really didn't consider Glimmer at all, the fact that it still worked was a lucky break really. It just so happened that the person who *would* have followed Scorpia and caught her in the act... just didn't.

For 2019’s Pride Month, my friends & I had a rewatch marathon party. We dressed to the nines & had our own Princess Prom night! When that dip happened, everyone was so excited, we threw popcorn all over the floor! I’m somehow still finding popcorn to this day! It was a good day to be gay! 🏳️🌈

I really love how strong adora is even when she's not she-ra, she was able to hoist Perfuma up in the air easily when they danced without even a deep breathe. Literally the first time Catra has the reigns in terms of strategy she takes away the power Adora had as She-Ra and captures the daughter of the leader of the rebellion. And her plan went off without a hitch. Shadow Weaver who?

An astonishing number of people manage to miss where Adora's leg ends up during the dip. Once seen it can never be unseen. Anyone who didn't spot it should go back and look again. It's definitely worth it!

This episode really makes the show. You see all the princesses and get hit with a big dose of gay from multiple characters on top of all the underlining trauma that causes some of the main characters to act the way they do.
I'm a cis, ace man and even I was briefly turned into a lesbian by Catra and Scorpia.

Fun fact: Noelle Stevenson tweeted that they used the "cats have nine lives" logic with Catra, and that "she burned a life for maximum dramatic exit at Princess Prom" when she let go of Adora's hand and fell into the ship below. ***DON'T LOOK FOR THE TWEET IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THE WHOLE SHOW. So you know how most shows these days generate so many ships you could practically pave the Atlantic in rowboats? Then an occasional episode comes along that gives a few more hints and suddenly one rowboat is a bit fancier, has a couple of cabins, maybe a sundeck?
Princess Prom: "uchuu senkan YA-MA-TOOOOO"
How people watch this and interpret everything that happens at the prom as purely a 'friends / enemies' thing is beyond me... Even the background lighting is getting in on the action! Also another example of Catra being, by far, the most effective presence on either side when it comes to actually getting stuff done. Hmm, almost becoming a recurring theme isn't it?
Oh, almost forgot, this was the ep that convinced me somewhere in the design process for Catra someone pinned up a picture of Ruby Rose as inspiration...
