    My 1st gun was a gat. Loved it, took it everywhere, camping n everything. My ma bought me one when i was about 12, i used about 400 pellets the 1st day shooting anythin and everything nothing bigger than moths or big shed spiders. Usual low power affair, but a little later my uncles older gat that he had when he was a kid, and was at least double the power, i dont know why. I then came in contact with a lad who had his dads 1978. 22 original mod. 5 air pistol in 1994 i bought it for £20 after school. That had a fair old whack to it. I then got back into airguns in 2010 when i bought an umarex colt special combat co2, which i loved n is still in the gun cabinet looking pretty. I later bought a crosman 1377 which i modded with flat top valve n piston which i later sold and missed. I then bought. 177 hatsan supercharger great powerful gun and very accurate as well. I then got hold of a mk3. 177 webley alecto accurate n powerful. I then got another crosman but a. 22 version the 1322 to tinker with n change to a backpacker survival carbine/rifle with survival kit and extra ammo inside the stock, 3-9x40 illuminated scope, ultrafire flashlight and moderator. Took me a while to do and cost a bit as well, but has never left the house. I just shoot in my indoor range. I then bought a compound bow which is now just a wall hange which i cant shoot indoors, and Iam now into a pistol crossbow phase much to my wifes annoyance. i just finished turning a horizone red back in to a backpacker crossbow which has never left the house also, i can shoot that indoors though. Well i could do up until my wife and daughter and myself were confined to the house in lockdown . My wife dreads my birthdays and xmas as i usually always want "something that fires something." All the best from lancashire, and stay safe.

    • @topshot2787

      @sauceNkicks Hi there, no a G10 and The Gat were 2 different guns. The G10 had a shape more like a M1911 and you could load steel 4.5mm BBs in an internal magazine in the muzzle and cock as a repeater but could fire darts and pellets single shot, whereas the Gat had to be loaded from the rear with pellets and darts by unscrewing a a steel pin and placing your pellet or dart and push it in with the pin and screw it back up. It could even fire small corks from the front and was single shot, and appeared in many old school fair grounds with the corks as ammo. Every time you fired it, the plunger shot out the muzzle firing the chosen ammo, and then the front had to be pushed back into the muzzle and loaded again from the rear for your next shot. Always great fun though. All the best from Lancashire.

    A nice nostalgic moment at the beginning.
    Had gotten myself up to 25 co2 replica pistols until I finally got myself my first pneumatic pistol, the Beeman P17. Good to have such a piece when wanna shoot just a wee bit and save up a co2 cartridge...
    Personally not a huge Glock fan, but I love the co2 replica pistols with a magazine like this one. Surely a bit shorter slide movement, but they usually kick like a sob and does shoot pretty hard. My ISSC M22 actually kicked so hard the original locking starlock ring around the firing pin broke..😁
    PS. That small split end on the included Allen key is to lock the trigger on some pistols (as the ISSC M22). The key is kinda generic for airpistols with a mag like this but all pistols do not have the trigger locking ability.

    I looked at the gen 5 glock but the rattle slide put me off I went for the gen 4 much better.

    • @cl_foto
      @cl_foto 4 года назад +2

      I just purchased the Gen 5, love the small design changes, the bevelled front looks better and the slider looks more blues than powder coated, these changes work for me over the gen 4 and previous. Yes I would like the slide to load the bb’s however I’m assuming this two stage trigger is there to give you more bang for your buck instead of the blowback taking some of that precious gas! So I can live with that. It also gives out more FPS and foot poundage, which the box oddly states otherwise, apparently the gen 4 is more powerful, this is not the case. HOWEVER, the loose fitting none field strip slide does rattle just by rotating your hand left to right, drives me nuts it really does. How... Why...Umarex, you were so close to making the gen 5 the best glock Co2/BB to date, but the slide let’s it down. I’m still trying to think of a way to fix this but if I don’t I will have to live with it and see where that takes me. Oh and btw, umarex needs to work on that stupid Safety also, so hard to move if you don’t have fingers i like a five year old.

    • @jackotrades50

    Great review Neil, is definitely a cool looking pistol, the Gen4 Blowback has always been the standard to beat,it would be interesting to compare the two,although the CO2 loading on the Gen4 was always a pain,but i do like the look of the Gen5,i can see a space in my cabinet right now.!!

    One thing that I've noticed right away is that the slide on this new Gen 5 sounds very much like the Glock Gen 3 (tin can sound), and I really don't like that. My Gen 4 doesn't sound like that.
    @4:05 That Sig Sauer M17 is a piece of crap. I wish I hadn't bought one. I put it back in its box after only a week. The only thing going for it is the look. Everything else was a big disappointment. Very low FPS, very low number of shots per CO2 cartridge, only double-action (slide blowback doesn't cock the hammer for single action), very notchy trigger feel, awful accuracy (despite having a riffled barrel), takes a long time to load the chain magazine, you lose a little precious CO2 gas each time you remove the magazine, the slide doesn't lock back on empty mag. Definitely not worth the price, unless you only want a great-looking replica.

    I don't like the location of the safety. I had a laser mounted on it but it would slide off due to recoil so I had to fix in place properly by screwing on a metal piece for my laser but now I can't easily access the safety. Basically due to its location it encourages you not to use it!

    Hi, I’ve recently purchased the Glock 17 Gen 5 Co2 pistol, every time I load the small Co2 capsule and turn the crew to tighten the bottle, all the gas comes out. I have made sure that i don’t over tighten the screw, however, once the Co2 bottle is pierced, all the gas comes out. I’ve already lost 4 bottles trying to get the pistol to operate. Do you have any ideas. Thanks

    If they could make a better slide that doesnt sound like cheep pot metal i would buy this gun , and pay more , but they need to find a way to make it sound like quality steal instead of clanky aluminum , but with that said i have the Barreta APX and its slide is clanky and the spring is weak but it shoots amazing , so form over function is a balancing act and we need to pick our battles i guess .

      Hi buddy, well airgun wise anything above 12flb in power requires a firearms licence, shotgun requires a shotgun licence or SGC. Powder burners ie rimfire and centre fire require a firearms license or FAC. Police do background checks etc and for firearms you need to be in a club or have access to land for hunting.
