As someone who has been in the real gun world for a while, I'm now dipping my toes in to airsoft and I'm thoroughly impressed with the realism and function. I'm hoping to get alot of airsoft versions of my real firearms as a lot more of an affordable training route, great review and great looking 17, I'm looking forward to receiving mine in the mail.

I'm hoping the blowback on some of these airsoft guns are enough to give the feeling actually discharging my or at least close to it.

I love these so much! I recently upgraded to the gen 5 as my previous umarex gen3 broke… a portion of metal slide broke off where the recoil spring (under the barrel) was located while shooting. This caused it to break some of the internals as well.
i was an owner of a Glock 19 27 years ago they had a GLock holster w hip pivot and a low rider design as a cop i wore it daily i was the only glock man i met in counties throughout the state im highly impressed with glock 5 gen plan to own one

I’ve had the co2 version of this gun for over 2 weeks now, awesome pistol, better than gen4, I was lucky to get it as I had a Valve issue with my gen4 the gun shop just got the gen5 in that same day and swapped it out free. My slide rattles - doesn’t appear to be an issue apparently glocks do that.
I have noticed that all Gen 5 magazines are faulty. The top 10 BBs have some distance between them and are not packed tightly. This makes them jam when you push on the top BB which makes the magazine hard to push into the pistol about 50% of the time.
That’s how they come irl. The 19x was made for a military submission, which required 3 dot/night sights. But they’re both gen 5, so like every gen 5, ambi
One thing I noticed between the Gen 4 and Gen 5 that I think is super important to mention is that the Gen 5 slide is a little bit shakier and wobbly. Almost like its loose. When I jiggle the Gen 4 from the slide, theres barely any sound or movement, but when I jiggle the Gen 5, it kinda rattles a bit. I tried watching other videos to see if anyone mentions this and a few others have also noticed that. Other than that, the gen 5 is incredible. But that slight thing does bother me a little bit because it makes it feel a little more cheap. Might just replace it with aftermarket and see if that fixes it.

Plus the fact that when the Mag is inserted back into the Gen 5 it definitely sounds cheap plastic like compared to the Gen 4 , when the slide is released back to the front on the Gen 5 it sounds like empty cheap metal & of course wobbly exactly as you mentioned , but the metal sounds more realistic & heavier/thicker on the Gen 4 when the slide is pushed back & released period.
Please this time when the Co2 version gets released and you decide to do a review/comparison with the Green Gas - PLEASE THIS TIME ALSO tell us if the Green Gas mags will fit AND FIRE in the Co2 version pistol. Please. For those of us who want to buy Co2 version for outdoor shooting and have mag with Green Gas for CQB or indoor plinking. Thank you in advance
Great video, these replicas looks good , but the deep black nDLC finish on the real 9mm slide is what stands out as a key tell. If you get to handle a real one you’ll see what I mean.. Being an expat Brit living in Estonia I love having the ability to own and shoot and train with my Glock 9MM’s they are great reliable pistols
I can't say I've ever personally desired a glock but after this video I will most definitely look into one but most like the full auto one because why not 😂

I believe Glock gen 5 has the worst Hop-up adjustment you can imagine, for me the contact between the rotary cog and hopup pin is doing nothing - the pin works when pressed down manually, but the system itself is incapable of pressing it down at all.. I cannot see a single review that points out this flawed hopup system, it is horrible - any fixes?
I have a Umarex Glock 19X. What Hop-up can I use to replace a broken stock Hop-up? It's close to impossible to find spare parts in the Philippines, I'm surprised that I was even able to get this for myself.
So this would be a Gen5 v1.2 as the v1 did not have the bevelled frame to match the slide. Now Glock has updates the Gen5 with front slide serrations and have removed the half moon cutout so I’d call that v2
I was checking to buy 1 here in the Philippines. Umarex vfc, but they all have a removable sticker on the slide with some Chinese signs. Not sure if that has something to do with customs, import process

Mike! I am a Glock fanatic as well :) I have a conundrum in that I love the Gen5 especially baseplate and cutout makes baseplate stick out! Like the Glock 47 and I hope I can get the much longer Glock 47 baseplate one day as well :) You like it? I want a CO2 UMAREX Glock 17 Gen5 but don't like what is offered. Also love the 19x colour. Oh hey I have this one too And it shoot great I really love that new hopup system Really convenient and not to mention it does weight like the real thing And it’s solid Only thing about it was the aiming sight are slightly higher compared to the real steel Still it works well for me for some indoor training

Because I would want to Practice drypractice etc. Because i have my glock 17 gen 4 My favorite long FINGERS. And inadded only grips rubbe and m plate size. But inwouldnt change Anything Except sights max carbon optics ,much Reliable and More safe,i got Lucky and had good trigger for This. And no restriction ofcourse because safety n1 and experience, i bought IT new 2017,better than my old g19 g. Thanks! And have fun safely! 🍀:)

Also with the blowback pistols if your holding the gun loose you will feel much more kick than a tight grip

How does the barrel work? Is it threaded in chamber or on the end? I want to get on with a longer barrel

The green gas and co2 mags will fit with each other but a green gas gun can’t shoot co2, a co2 gun can’t shoot green gas.

For a G17 gen 5 I don't see the front slide serrations but otherwise it looks incredibly realistic.
