Same, I've got a rain shell from them, and I'll admit I've said a few things this guy did. To be fair though, I got it used from an NCO that was leaving Alaska lol
I know a guy that’s all he wore was Sitka and kuiu and he wouldn’t even gut his deer. He’d bring it to a processor. Most the time if he shot a deer at night he’d Waite until the morning to retrieve it after the coyotes ate it. Complained about people shooting small bucks but he’s shooting 4 points as “cull” deer. I haven’t seen nor heard from that guy in a year so it’s possible he got lost in the woods and that camo is so good nobody has ever found him yet.

Never seen anybody do it but it is a service they all offer. That’s some rookie shit if you bring a deer to the butcher with his guts still in it

I leave deer all the time in the woods overnight and never had an issues with coyotes. That's actually pretty normal.

I have one piece of sitka gear and it's a jacket my mother got me for Christmas, and it is the ONLY jacket I wear for hunting, my favorite hear for sure
I wear a skre guardian jacket and bibs to walk my three GSDs here in the Cascades. They are very active and I'll easily spend 3-4 hours accumulatively a day in the cold. Skre is priced fairly compared to competitors. I don't hunt but I'm 6'3 280lbs and couldn't find any other clothing that would fit me while being down insulated, water proof, and wind proof. I've donated plenty of gear in the past due to poor performance. So far, I am sold on Skre. If you're a big person, they have sizes that fit!

Until they started talking about refinancing I was half expecting it to be a situation where the only sitka gear he had was the hat and vest and he tried to ride out the Sitka image on just that.

I bought some Kuiu stuff but always end up using my Carhartts and gray/brown shirts/hoodies.
Ha ha! We had a local hardware store that’s legendary recently pick up a huge line of Sitka gear and it’s pricey for gear period but they literally have it marked lower than Amazon so i’ve been seeing it pop up at soccer games. It’s great, high quality stuff but lord almighty $$.😅

I own quite a few of Sitka gear items, do i like the quality? Um mostly, the zippers suck. Are they comfortable, absolutely with out a doubt. Are they effective? It’s hunting not killing. You cant expect to kill something every time depending on what you are wearing. Will i buy more? Most likely. Did i pay full retail for the items i do have? Hell no, most were gifts and what I purchased was at least 40%. Off.

We were at a local Sportsman Warehouse and my Wife picked out this T shirt with a cool looking logo and I had no clue what it was but hey it was a good looking T shirt, two weeks ago I found out its the Sitka logo and now this video lol. I'll stick with my Gander Mountain Guide Series stuff I got when they went out of business but now looking at Kilik at 41% off.

So far my experience when wearing Sitka around other hunters I immediately get attacked and insulted by other hunters for wearing that brand, I didn’t realize it would piss off other hunters

I live in Idaho where a large percentage of the population are hunters. Camo is a fashion statement here. You’ll see Sitka guys and Kuiu guys eyeballing each other with disgust 😂 I’ve seen 4 young guys get out of a $600 late 90s Toyota Corolla all decked out head to toe in matching Sitka camo, probably worth 5 thousand dollars combined😂😂😂

I don’t know how I’ve managed to Harvest so many deer over the years without ever owning ANY Sitka gear 🤯 As the Peasant that i am, wearing brands such as, but not limited to Cabelas, Mossy Oak, Nomad, Realtree, U.S. Military Issued Micky boots, i MUST be an Outlier in my success with Deer hunting, being Void of such Prestigious and Essential Garments that is SITKA Gear 🤣 great video man… The Solid Lines 😂

This runs about $350 but weighs next to nothing and if you take a look at this it runs about $475 but weighs next to nothing...
I am of the mindset that just because they can get away with charging what they do, doesn't mean they should. But I'll just continue buying affordable brands that are maybe not the same quality, but still get the job done.

I can't afford Sitka but a friend gave me a pair of Sitka mountain pants I have to say they are the best pants I own. Love em. I will try to buy one piece of Sitka gear every year from now on. Only when on sale of course.

The stuff is severely overpriced. Mostly made of polyester and spandex just like the stuff from Walmart. Also likely made in the same sweat shops in China. Look it up. You were sold on the marketing and the "system". Literally still layering just like before. Traditional bow hunting podcast has a video on why buy hunting clothes from Walmart. It has very valid points. After some research you will understand that you are swept up in the marketing and then try to justify way overspending on the same materials you get from Walmart. Example; KUIU 93% polyester 7% spandex hoodie is $80. Gilden brand 93% polyester 7% spandex hoodie $12. Paying for the fancy name.
I have Walmart camo and I have Sitka and there is no comparison… sorry but wind just goes right through budget clothing, you want to stay in the stand all day in cold weather you have to have something windproof.. Doesn’t have to be Sitka but Walmart isn’t cutting it..
I have some KUIU gear and it has all been top notch for me. If you wait for their sales or get stuff on outlet its about the same price as other outdoor/hunting brands. That being said, the Amazon Basics synthetic puffer jacket is legit for $30.
