This has got to be great for Yamamoto’s confidence moving forward.

Boohoo. Dodgers wanted Cole to come home before like Yamamoto, he chose the team he’s always had an affinity towards. Deal with it Yanks.

technically Cole coming home would be playing for the Angels. He even told dodgers radio last year lol they asked him why he didnt want to play for his hometown team and he basically said "well thats not you guys either"

Otani and Yamamoto both intended to sign with the Dodgers from the start. Every free agent gives all interested teams the courtesy of hearing their offers. LET'S GO DODGERS 💙💙💙

You are absolutely 💯 correct. They both wanted to play for the dodgers no question about it. And Roki Sasaki is next.

The Dodgers took a huge gamble by shelling out $1.1B. But Big Gambles can change the "present and future" of a franchise. They are now the team all JAP stars want to join.

Exactly what the dodgers have been needing and what's been missing for awhile now when the offense is lacking the pitching that is going to lock it down with whatever offense is going to be put up.

Those who have been following Yamamoto since NPB say that this is the time (start summer) Yamamoto gets even better and he will take the pitching to the next level.
…Why are people even talking about Korea? Cole,Verlander, Kershaw…all had a games they imploded in an inning! He just had arrived to a new country, the states and cannot speak the language suddenly travelled to Korea with the team he never played with and “boom!!” starting a game. Don’t make a big deal of that Korea game.

I'm a Yankee fan so don't follow the Dodgers but why would fans be upset with Yamamoto? Regardless of his contract, he's still a rookie playing in a totally different league and level of play. It would be stupid to think he was gonna come out of the gate putting up Cy Young performances. He's pitching great for a person in his position..and he's only gonna get better barring any injuries.

Yankees didn't need him, it was a luxury option to add. They have more talent in the farm that the entire league right now plus their rotation is among the best in the league. Chase Hampton will likely get that contract before Yamamoto. NY invests heavily into home grown talent
