Finally Ping. I carry my 3-wood about 280yrds and I also carry three wedges in the bag. So having something beyond a 4iron for low driving options off the tee is important for me. This in a 2 iron checks all the boxes.
Just ordered the 2 iron of this after trying it out at the range, 1st shot went over 230yrds and straight, really easy to hit and consistently long and straight, I've only been playing a year and struggling with the driver so this will definitely make a difference
willfield III I didn’t even hit the i210 4 iron, just felt the crossover would give me a bit more help which it does. Still getting used to it, but when you catch one it flies!
@@richb326 thanks for the reply, I appreciate it. I hit my i500 4 iron all the time, I hit long irons well so just ordered the i500 3 iron and then a crossover 2 to finish the set off. Need to see what gaps I'm left with and chose a driver. do you get good ball height with the crossover? Do you have a fast swing speed?
willfield III I don’t have a particularly fast swing. Average around 82-85 mph with an iron; I have DG105 S300’s in my i210 but went for a reg in the 410 crossover. I get a really nice high rainbow flight with it but doesn’t seem to get robbed of distance in the wind like a hybrid. Hitting well off the tee on long 3’s and short 4’s but struggling with it off the turf. Need to look at ball position with it. If you’re a Ping man then look at the G410 driver, it’s a beauty! If I hadn’t bought the 400 max last year I’d certainly be looking at one!
I’ve been pondering a 4 iron replacement and wanted more of an iron design versus a hybrid. This looks to check all of the boxes. They looked to perform really well in your video. I really like the looks as well. How would you compare the performance versus previous Crossovers?
Thanks for your review. 1 need to replace my inconsistent Ping G30 5 wood. I hit my G400 Crossover 3-iron well and my Ping G 3-wood well, but the G30 5-wood often misfires. I'm going to try the Ping G410 2 hybrid since the head is bigger, I can flatten the lie and your numbers are similar to the crossover.
Really enjoy all of your vids Michael. Would the G410 4 crossover replace a i500 4 iron or i210 4 iron or will it go too far? Trying to figure out gapping without trying them, which seldom works out lol!!!!! Thanks again. Tim
Really positive review, will definitely give this club a tryout. All 3 options would cover the yardage at which I struggle. Again really useful information/content in your review.
Always struggled with hybrids off the tee. I purchased the G410 Crossover 4 and it has replaced my 4 hybrid. Much straighter and good off the deck too. Now should I get the 3 also?
set it up against the TaylorMade P790 UDI, GAPR Lo, Callaway X-Forget UT, Titleist T-MB 2i and Cobra Utility Black: what is the best Utility (driving) iron for your money for low vs high swing speeds ?
Hey, another good video. I have a Honma 3 iron and fancied puting in a hybrid shaft. Is that all there is too it. Same shaft That I love in another hybrid. Or whats best? Thanks.
chris duncan no need. Choose your loft either 2 3 or 4 iron Lofts would be 18, 20, 22 based on those clubs. Only have retro or power specs on non driving irons.
@michaelnewtongolf great review ... it appears this would be a nice club to hit off of the fairway as you pured it many times off the mat in your facility?? do you agree?
I have the ORIGINAL Crossovers ("G" Crossover) and hook the daylights out of them, and I'm someone who couldn't hit a draw to save my life. The composition of the 410, with the tungsten in the toe, may be a better fit.

Finally... I can drop my hybrid for good
Great review! I’m more excited about this club than anything else in the G410 range. I’ll def be bagging one of these this year!

I still love my old Mizuno Cut Muscle MP Fli Hi 4 iron. I used regular hybrids for my 3
Looks like they’re moving more towards the Srixon utility iron in styling.
Just ordered one of these as a 4 iron replacement and then 5-PW in i210
I've had a set of i500 4-pw for a while, deciding on a 2 or a 3 in this or both.. Hmm
How do you find the 4 in this compared to your I 210 4 iron ?
willfield III I didn’t even hit the i210 4 iron, just felt the crossover would give me a bit more help which it does. Still getting used to it, but when you catch one it flies!

@@richb326 I think the G410 lst is the way for me to go.

Hi Mike would this club suit an 18 handicapper ?
Wow that looks stunning and you flat out smashed it every shot
I have the 2 and it is a beast, have on order the 4 and 3. Often use the 2 off the tea when I am struggling with the driver
Looks great just no room in the bag right now since I started carrying a 5 Hybrid.

Very nice review Michael. Looks like quite a weapon indeed!
Can I bump the 4 iron down to 21 degrees to help my gapping? Or bump the 3 up to 21? The club looks great. Enjoying your reviews Michael.
Yes thats possible
How would you compare this to the Titliest u510?
is this not as hook-y as most hybrids are??
Love my long irons but will certainly give these a go. Look really good.
comparison srixon u85 vs ping g410
my personal preference is for g410 not even close ive had both...
think I could use on of these? With swing speed around 100 with driver?

What’s the offset compared to the g400
Is there a retro spec and power spec with this club?
chris duncan no need. Choose your loft either 2 3 or 4 iron

These slot in with the retro spec lofts just nicely.
How would you compare this crossover to the old 96' Callaway Big Bertha #2 iron or other oversize #2 iron?
⛳️
@michaelnewtongolf great review ... it appears this would be a nice club to hit off of the fairway as you pured it many times off the mat in your facility?? do you agree?
So is this basically a G700 3 iron with new internal ribbing?
Sort of but crossover has managing steel face and tungsten weight in toe, G700 doesn't
Can you do a review of the Cobra One Length Utility Iron?
If I can get my hands on one then yes
Ok. I’ve seen a lot of people discussing it in different forums but I can’t find a single video review of it.
Hi,are cobra coming out with a new utility iron aswell as f9 range?
Definitely going to check this out. Hated the G400 cross over but this looks just like an i500 big brother.
Worth a look
Based on the Ping website, G410 is only offered in graphite shafts.
Based on the way the i500 and i210 finish is wearing poorly (a widely discussed topic out there) I'll avoid this. Love their woods tho!!!
I tried the original crossover and hated the feel and sound. Was like hitting a brick. Not tried any since.
I have the ORIGINAL Crossovers ("G" Crossover) and hook the daylights out of them, and I'm someone who couldn't hit a draw to save my life. The composition of the 410, with the tungsten in the toe, may be a better fit.
comparison with G400?
mrchineseable agreed especially for a mid capper whilst the 400 is still available for custom fit
Ping does Jailbreak!
Easy to hit
