Baitsmith: Good Luck!
Holy crap, a fishing hack/tutorial channel, where the host doesn't feel the need to yell, overhype, and play obnoxious music? hell, I'll sub
I appreciate the thumbnails you choose for your videos.
Glad you notice them.
The small stuff you show us is the important stuff. Thanks for always putting out quality fishing information, and secrets most people would never tell anyone about. Hats off to you sir!
Mike thanks again I know these videos are a bit older but man I'm gaining so much knowledge watching all your thoughts and theories and all your video clips which are absolutely amazing brother I'm actually trying to get over the fact that I just lost my 8 inch bull Shad last night course I'll be getting another one but now I need to make sure I have a bait knocker at all times
Great idea. I like to use 6lb mono to tie a dropshot weight to the belly of the bait at the stinger hook line tie. this also gives the hudd more of a wobble when it sinks
Pure FIRE Mike!!! Been killing it with these videos lately man!!
You can also do this with a ROF 0 hudd to make it a very slow ROF 2 or 3. Love you vids Brother, keep'em coming.
This is sick, love these instructional Videos!!!
Dropping Gems!! Thanks Homie!!
Well dam this is awesome ,you definitely have some info stored away love these videos mike, super informative from the fisherman for the fisherman keep it coming
I've had a few swimbaits that want to roll after fighting a big fish and unfortunately some that seem to roll or tilt right out of the package. Adding weight to the opposite side of the Roll has helped at times so I don't have to go in and resecure a harness out on the water.
Great tip on the weight placement brother. It's really important to get it right the first time. Once that hole is in there it's a pain to make an accurate adjustment. I've put weight in that looks absolutely perfect and still had to make a sliver of adjustment.
Adjust current baits that run off balance is a great use for the nails as well.
Keep the tips coming Mike
Absolutely brilliant,thank you Mike 👊👊🍺🍻👍
Wow! You’re on a roll🤙
Thank you for your tips and tricks man. Ever since I discovered your channel I've been throwing LOTS more swim-baits. Thanks for the motivation, you've converted this Oklahoma boy to the DARK SIDE lol
P.s. I would LOVE to get my hands on a battle shad.
Good info Mike. You like to tinker and modify your baits. I'm currently modifying a 5" bull shad to get it deeper quicker! Then I'm going to throw a different paint scheme on it. 👍👊👊👊
So i have been trying to figure out why your naMe is so familure and why your vids are so apealing then BAM same skateboarding background i came from you have worked with the greatest skateboarders of all time........nice transfer my friend. When i couldnt skate anymore i focused all my time towards bass fishing amd it filled the void for me and i must say i haveseen all your vids very nice work sir! Keep up the good fishing also
Great video never thought about doing that me being a dumb ass just got heavyer baits thanks will start to do that
Bro great video, this is gonna save me a lot of money
Do you bass guys ever use any rattles in your softbaits? alot of guys here in the north use those small capsules that you can buy dirt cheap for fly tying and embed them in the tail part of their soft baits. Not really sure if it really helps, but if nothing else it gives an extra confidence boost.
There's a time and place for everything I guess. I've never done it though.
Of course. This is a future video.
Love this
Ha ha ha just saw the bait smith good luck haha you're not lying
I just sub'd I really enjoy your vids.. good job ! 👍
Gold!!
Watch, like, comment and repeat!
Another great video. I see that Castaic box in the background. Do you ever throw or have you ever thrown the Castaic catch 22 swimbaits. They are my go to bait and this nail weight will help me get them to run deeper. Thanks. 👍👍
Love Your Vids And Your Citizen!!!!! Cheers!! :))
When is the store going to be stocked up
Are you ever gonna stock your trout swimbait again?
can you use straight braid on your hudd 68 and so
Could you just use regular small nails if you don't have tungsten ones?
When can I get one of your baits?? And where at??
can you discuss when you put down a swimbait? Also when will more citizens be coming out?
I heard Mike Long mention once that in certain conditions he puts a metal thumb tack in the nose of a soft plastic swimbait and bangs it against the rocks. Also, I've been experimenting with adding lead tape wrapped around Beast hooks to add extra weight to baits as required.
He also sharpens his hooks a lot where he dulls them from snagging rocks while he's yanking treble hooks at big bass...
Bassmaster said he was a true professional with his techniques.
I wish I was as good at hammering the slobby huge sows like he was.
Do a video of your baits on the back wall!!!
And this is why I fu*cks with Mike G!
Battle shad restock date?
Whats the best way for me to get your baits in Australia??
Carnt email or contact as website wont send as spam verification wont work???
We need a new video, Michael.! Whats up.?
🤘🏻
Any way to do this with hard baits?
bob smith lead strips made by storm
bob smith depending on how far you want to go down you can go to heavier split rings and hooks or suspend dots or a combination of both. By your lead tape at golf shops, 1/4 of the price then buying it from a fishing company. Golfers use it to add weight to the head of their golf clubs. I have a strip on my driver that's been there for 2 years and I play through the winter. It doesn't come off until you take it off.
I add a little extra length to my lead tape strip to the bottom of my Glide baits and then Trim It down until I'm happy with the sink rate and retrieve. It does leave a little sticky glue residue when you take it off but it's easy to wipe it down just be careful you don't hook yourself when you're cleaning it off lol...
Who disliked this? Huddleston?
Sweet - keep dumping all that knowledge here.
