I just traded my 03 350z track edition for a 2000 integra ls with a complete type r conversion, from the j's front end,to the interior, wheels, and untouched bone stock b18c5 type R motor with 95,000 miles, the car rips just as hard as my 350z and revs to 9200rpm,it's a beast of an n/a 1.8l 4banger motor, especially for stock

I've own both the b18c1 and b18c5. What makes the type r sooo unique is The unforseen details that people absolutely DON'T KNOW. The type r is not a regular b16 head which was I huge mistake back in The day when people built a poor man's type r swapping a regular b16 head on a GSR block which resulted in that build under performing. The ITR b16 head first off comes slightly hand portered from honda. SECOND, the gsr and b16 valves sit at the standard 60 degree valve angle but the TYPE R valves sit at 45 degree valve angle which allows the spray of the fuel injectors to be a direct shot (PERFECT). Also, to note that the TYPE R valves are designed completely different being they are the lightest valves on the the honda line allowing the TYPE R to rev 200 rpms more because the stem of the valve at the top down towards the center is 5.5mm and from the base of the valve the stem is slim down to 4.4mm and still retain its strength. The double valve springs on the TYPE R are not regular double valve springs and are also unique as these double valve springs or not circular in circumference, they are oval in circumference to rev the top rpm of 8600 to 9000 rpm depending on your tuning. The block of the TYPE R IS capable of spinning faster than a 1990"s formula 1"s car , fact not fiction!!! This is only possible because the block is super unique again as the head is a the fact that the crankshaft is PERFECTLY balance to rev hard and not fly apart and that includes the technology taken from the legendary ACURA NSX rod bearings which are designed with the surface being rigid in little micro pyramid shapes to trap oil longer to keep lubrication at maximum, the rods are modified as well with oil run off grooves and lock out pins to secure the piston at maximum 8600 plus rpms for long durations to prevent catastrophic failure. The piston are also coated with a moly silicone anti friction coatings ECT.....

I'd like to point out that you didn't mention the differences between the pistons. It would've been really insightful to talk about how the shape of the top of the pistons in conjunction with the shape of the combustion chamber affect an engine's compression, and therefore its power.
Another difference is that the Type R has a slight port and polish from the factory, while the GSR doesn't.
I'm not saying that anything you said was incorrect, I'm just adding information.
Good video. I hope you hit your 10k milestone.

Hey Milton, FYI: my blueprinted all motor EK coupe B18C GSR running factory rotating assembly (lightened and balanced severely), ported and polished head, port matched S2 pro intake manifold and port matched hitech tri-y header (ultra abbreviated build sheet) that I time attack in the modified fwd class and it sees nearly 10,000rpm before every shift and loves it. 2 seasons on this engine now and a cracked 20 year old OE VTEC solenoid housing (from the sexy high oil pressures) has been the ONLY failure.
Oil (Motul 8100 X-Clean C3) changed every 600 miles or so for insurance.
With the right approach, the GSR engine platform can be the NA powerhouse for the budget builder.

Cant leave out that the pr3 heads flow way better than Gsr heads reason alot of people use pr3 heads.. Yes combustion chamber a little bit bigger in PR3 head result in a tiny bit of compression lost but the pr3 a better head to use reason why b16 and type r use the pr3 head. I had both both are great head either way.

My boys poor mans type r will walk on a 98 spec itr. And the ctr to b honest pulls harder up top than a itr just due to head flow and cam profile.

WTF? B18C5 and B18C1 are all over the internet. They can be imported from Japan and be found from the wrecking yard. It comes down to money. People usually go LS Vtec because of price. That's why it was refer to as the poor man's Type R. I'm not trying to hate but I've been in the import scene since the early 90's and this guy is wack.
