    How do you even apply? I’ve been having trouble finding out information for the animation part of the application and the storyboarding. Where do I submit everything?

      same, I'm not trying to apply this year but i wanted to check out a couple of things and noticed the websites layout and finding things was really difficult, i believe you need to first apply on some ontariocollege website, where you pay the application fee and apply, it said something about getting a notice a couple days later where youll be given more info on the portfolio stuff but i'm not too sure.

      yep that’s pretty much it! you have to apply to sheridan’s animation program through ontario colleges and then sheridan will provide you with the portfolio requirements when they are released!

    this is AMAZING, tysm for all the tips on how to go about with your portfolio, for the figure drawings, is it recommended to use charcoal? or could I just use pencil?

    • @melonisce
      @melonisce  Год назад +1

      ahh no problem! i hope it was helpful!! for figure drawings i used conte as that’s what you’d normally use for figure drawings. you can usually get a conte stick or conte pencil at your local art store :)

    i wanted to ask you at what fps did you make the animation because idk if it is necessary to make it at 12 fps because then only my animation would be long or else my animation would be like 2 seconds if i make 48 frames at 24 fps

    • @melonisce
      @melonisce  Год назад +1

      so for my animation i did 24 frames per second but i animated it on 2’s, i think the requirements are by images not by frames so i think if your animation is around 4-6 seconds long it’s alright! but of course refer back to the requirement sheets to get the most accurate info!

    Hey! Im planning on applying to Sheridan for the September 2024 year. I’ve only started a few months ago so I’m not sure if I’ll make it but I’m doing my best! If you had a moment, could you share the materials you use? I’d appreciate it! If not, I understand!

      hi! for my traditional pieces for the portfolio i used col-erase pencils! (later on i scanned them into my computer and just made it black and white) and for my digital work i used procreate on my ipad :) hope that helps and i’m wishing you the best of luck, you can do this!!

    Okay so I'm applying this year, I was wondering about the file formats you're allowed to use? Are you able to submit .pdf for the sketchbook and other areas of the personal section or does it all have to be .jpg and .png?

    • @melonisce
      @melonisce  11 месяцев назад

      there should be a section in the portfolio requirement package that has the full details of the file formatting but from what i remember it’s usually jpg but if ur handing in a compilation of sketchbook pages, pdf is alright but double check the submission requirements just to be sure! and good luck with your portfolio!

    • @melonisce
      @melonisce  Год назад

      hi! so if you submitted your application to sheridan college before the deadline to apply for colleges they will be sending you the full requirements which i think you can access through your email or your application account on sheridan. it’ll say on the requirement sheet but i believe the deadline for this year is feb 21 for all applicants, i don’t believe they give out extensions but i think you can contact the staff at sheridan to make sure if you’d like :) hope that helps!
