I blame the whiskey drinkers for this...

I recently needed some white oak for a desk I'm building. The lumber supplier nearest me decided to double their prices in a month, so I had to search elsewhere for the wood. I finally found somewhere that had enough material for me, and it was $1500. well, $1479.32 to be exact. this video shows what that much money in white oak looks like, and talks a little about why it's so expensive.
