    What are some reasons for getting denied for multi-state certifications. Your page is smaller but I really appreciate it so much. It’s one of the only ones talking about current Rad Tech info. I’m in nursing and really wanting to switch. Schooling in IL is brutal and the nature of nursing careers is losing its light for me.

    Thanks I was thinking about this I wanted to this transition 😊 but your right about rad vs nurses I wish y’all have more flexibility jobs in the hospital I work at there’s no part-time only full time and it’s not remote Idkk if AI will take over radiology ☢️ 😅

    • @juanmotiva8s959
      @juanmotiva8s959  8 месяцев назад +2

      Yeah we do way too much for A.I. to ever take over.
      At our hospital we have PRNs which only work when they are needed which they are always needed because we are always short staffed so that means you can pick and work when you want so it’s basically part time but definitely…NO REMOTE JOBS in our field.
      At least not that I know of .

      Radiology is the same

    • @John34.
      @John34. 3 месяца назад +5

      Bahaha Nursing is not way harder. If anything, it's easier. The hardest class a nurse will take is pharmacology. I went to Radiology school, and if you made below a 75, you also got kicked out. The reason I say nursing is not harder is because my wife is a ICU nurse, and I got to look at some of her course work and take home practice tests. They were easy, she couldn't believe how I knew answers to most of the questions. The only ones I struggled with were knowing all the drug names and what's the use of all the odd drugs you don't hear too often. I then went on to get my 4 year degree in Cell and Molecular Biology. I then found out later that nurses just have to make it through general chemistry and microbiology. All the easier science courses! Meanwhile, I'm taking Organic chemistry, Molecular Biology, Endocrinology, Immunology, Virology. All the more advanced courses. So, for me to think that my experience of radiology school being harder than my 4 year degree that surpasses what nurses learn. I think that it is valid I can say one is harder.
      The only thing a nurse can basically do that we can't is give meds. I am a CT tech, so we do start IV's for contrast injections. We also do vitals, or chest compressions during codes. We can tip for rectal contrast studies. We have to do cystograms and all kinds of special cardiac procedures. It's not just pressing buttons like it seems to most nurses and patients. You have to take radiation physics and protection when you are in rad school, which is hard. You have to know anatomy even more so than a nurse. Nurses are bad ass but I wouldn't say their school is harder at all. Plus they make it so easy to be a NP now you can do NP school while being a nurse or not even work as a nurse, but just go straight into being a nurse practitioner or I like to call them a keyboard warrior just ordering all kinds of crap on patients without ever seeing them increasing the nurse and radiology workload.

    LOL, I'm a nurse and I got on-call duty just last night. Great info though. Thinking on doing both in future. Also, places you can work as nurses:
    Insurance company for work compensation,
    Theme park (also for work comp), schools nurse, nursing professor, botox clinic, retirement home, hospitals, clinics, home health care, way more. But my wife works as rad tech and I'm becoming more interested how chill they work. Also, we are equally annoyed that we have to order imaging because the doctor ask as to do so.

    Im having this issue right now. I want to go back to school but I’m unsure if I should go for radiology or nursing. Is one harder than the other? I tend to overthink a lot and I worry that maybe I’m not smart enough to do either but I’ve always been interested in the medical field so I’m going to push through I just don’t know which one to go for.

    • @juanmotiva8s959
      @juanmotiva8s959  2 года назад +1

      Yeah your correct but a good school what I mean by that is a Community College or State College will always be 2 years & they only accept the BEST students.
      Now PRIVATE schools are sometimes 16 months but they accept anyone as long as your willing to get into $50K debt.
      They are usually JCERT certified but at a price.
      Plus PRIVATE colleges usually don’t get good clinical rotations.

Aren't those some of the sites that xray techs will work any way? You went to a private college for your education? I also live in Florida. At the end of the day you have the choice to go to which ever program you choose and I get that is exactly what your saying in the video. Each one will have their pros and cons but at the end of the day its about making sure you have the eligibility to take the registry at the end of the program. I am R.T.(R)(CT) with Bachelors in Cell and Molecular Biology. May get my Masters in Health Administration or IT Cybersecurity. The massive university hospital I work at offers free education to do this as long as you are a full time employee which I am. It's all online.

      Hi 👋
      Glad your here hopefully you considered subscribing 🙏🏽
      Ok so it seems that way but the opportunities in the long run for Nursing are far far superior than in Radiology.
      For ex… if you go for RN & continue your education you can reach into becoming a Nurse Practitioner and basically having your own patients making over $100K per year.
      In Radiology you don’t have that growth, yes you can become CT or MRI certified but you won’t every make $100K unless you travel and that gets hard if you have a family.
      Nurse practitioner also order exams, so in the long run you could be the person ordering exams instead of doing them….something to think about 🤔
