@jerseymade2754 Oh ok Central FL you will do great! Congrats remember stay …. MOTIVATED, DETERMINED & CONSISTENT! Trust me it will be times when you want to quit but dig deep & keep pushing … Great things awaite!
@@juanmotiva8s959 thanks brother I really appreciate it💯 I’ve wanted to do this for a long more than 15 years, watching some of your content and some life situations gave me that extra push to go and get enrolled in school 🙏🏽
Going to HCC to get my xray and then eventually go back and get my radiation therapy
Yo! That’s a great plan! You’re going to do AMAZING!
Hey bro whats up! Question, I live here in Miami and found a travel position nearby but it doesn't meet the 50 miles distance. Can I use another address instead that does meet the requirement, or do I have to make that 50 miles commute no matter what? Thank you and keep up the good work, been following since I was a student 👍🏻
Yo! Thank you for your support i appreciate you🙏🏽 Ok so honestly that’s a chance you take bro. You can use another address I know some techs who have done that but you have to be careful with the government because it goes by your drivers license address. Hope this helped bro 🙏🏽
Thank you! thank you for mentioning not going just for the money. I get so sick of people talking about the money, how much money you’d make, instead of going because you care for people, and that you might enjoy it❤. Great video.

I have question on radiologic technologist, CT, and MRI. Do any of these perform rectal exams?
Because am thinking of becoming a x ray tech but I really don’t want to do this.
Hi 👋 Welcome 🙏🏽 Thank you for watching Please remember to SUBSCRIBE, WATCH & LIKE 👍🏽 my videos it helps the channel reach more viewers who need this content 🙏🏽 Ok so YES unfortunately we do rectal exams not to much IN CT but in X-ray we have what is called a “BARIUM ENEMA” BE - The only way you get out of doing those is if you work at an outpatient facility or you work overnight as a X-ray tech. Now they have plenty of other options to choose from in the medical field where you do don’t have to worry about any rectal exams: 👇🏾👇🏾👇🏾 ruclips.net/video/igvqNIXuQAU/видео.htmlsi=35PL3m0zCUzaGI-i ruclips.net/video/sTu6FTDrc1U/видео.htmlsi=ivpNYoeW4GuTtCFE ruclips.net/video/LokLTzZit64/видео.htmlsi=iXf5KKtkH7y_dij6 ruclips.net/video/juqn90tAhDM/видео.htmlsi=o8B8mcIZ0hiav9oA ruclips.net/video/NGVDd15E3aU/видео.htmlsi=IURhehcnxO15lzyH ruclips.net/video/oJcTleFR-S8/видео.htmlsi=ffFmABUVfJdMEXj5 ruclips.net/video/28JacyZeATE/видео.htmlsi=IxTyniUwcHXp48Gl Ok I sent you a few videos on different careers. I’m not a huge people person. I can do it but I definitely have some social anxiety. I’ve been thinking about doing radiology technician school because it sounds like you don’t have to talk to as many people. But you made a good point that nursings possibilities are endless. So I guess I’ll just have to get over my social anxiety😂
Yo! Welcome 🙏🏽 Thank you for watching Please remember to SUBSCRIBE, WATCH & LIKE 👍🏽 my videos it helps the channel reach more viewers who need this content 🙏🏽 Man unfortunately YES nursing has way way more opportunities than X-ray & to be honest they get treated way way better at the hospital than the Radiology department. We don’t ever get any respect. I love Radiology but if I knew what I know now RN would have been the best for me to advance 🙏🏽
that is so similar to my thought process! I'm very introverted but I can become an extravert if need be. I think rad tech suits my personality the most but it's too limited in job opportunities.

Hi 👋 Yeah definitely MRI 🧲 🙂
@ hey yup for pathology
I’m currently taking a medical terminology class & our instructor shared info on the radiation therapy program. Honestly it’s much more interesting to me than nursing or some other healthcare jobs. I have worked with nurses for years & the more I work with them the less I want to do it. I’ve always gravitated towards the therapeutic side of healthcare. I have heard there’s even more of a shortage of students entering rad tech & radiation therapy .

Thank you so much for this! My community college is opening a limited rad tech program this year and I think I’m going to go for it. The RT program is highly competitive and requires you to be certified as a CNA to even apply, which I’m not. After I work 2000 hours in the field I can go back to school and finish the RT program. These videos are so helpful in making the decision, so thanks again! I’m in northern MN and starting pay seems pretty good even as a limited tech.

Do you think rad tech should be worried about being replaced by AI ou automation, i want to get into that field but I am a big scared, from what I’ve seen I think the job is kind of safe because of human interaction but I still want to know your opinion since you have experience. Thank you

These videos will let you know if Radiology is right for you so you don’t waste time and energy on something you might not like. I got you 🙏🏽
Is x ray tech the same as radiation tech? From what I understand, x ray requires less than radiation tech, which according to your video, would make sense as to why x ray makes less than nurses right? Rad tech is more like an umbrella term for the imaging specialty itself, so wouldn’t they make close to nurses then?
Hello 👋 Welcome 🙏🏽 Thank you for watching Please remember to SUBSCRIBE, WATCH & LIKE 👍🏽 my videos it helps the channel reach more viewers who need this content 🙏🏽 Ok so X-ray techs seem to have many names thrown out like Radiology Technician & Radiology Technologist…. We are Radiology Technologists (Not Technicians). Now there is a Radiation Therapy Technologist and that is considered a specialty which they treat cancer patients & they are one of the highest paid specialties in the Radiology Family. They usually get paid over $100K per year and that’s a normal 40 hour work week with weekends off. Hope this helped 🙏🏽
Yo what’s up bro. It’s me again. I was just curious- im trying to formulate the perfect patient history questionnaire. What do you usually say in order?
Yo! What kind of questionnaire? CAT SCAN MRI They entitle different questions
@ sorry I mean like a perfect patient history for x ray
@tisforterror6076 Ok no worries bro So that all depends on what your doing but in general you would want to ask: 1.) What hurts you today 2.) How long has it been bothering you 3.) Do you have any medical issues (HBP, Diabetic ect) 4.) Have you had any surgeries 5.) What side hurts 6.) Any way you can be pregnant (female patients) If it’s Cat Scan it’s more in depth but these are the usual & im sure I missed a few … Hope this helped 🙏🏽
I was 100 percent committed to my OTA program and didn’t make it to next semester .
Hi Jazmyne 👋 I’m sorry to hear that That’s doesn’t mean you we not smart enough that just means it wasn’t mean for you. What did you use to study for the arrt ? I’m overwhelmed right now
Hey dude Ok so I studied the Yellow Lange book. Not sure what edition it is up to now but I studied that from front to back. So that books give you a breakdown of every subject on the exam and then it gives your study mock test in the back of the book with the answers so the trick is to understand why the answers are wrong. Each question has a breakdown at the end of the book study’s the breakdown and not the correct answer. Hope I made since, you got this ‼️🩻☢️
@@juanmotiva8s959heyyy thank you!!!!
But what about doing all the classes in one two year span, and then doing the clinical hours during a second two year span (or whatever length of time it takes to complete clinical hours). Would schools let you split it up that way? My situation's unique. I have physical health issues. I could physically do the job, no problem. But doing the classes and the clinical hours all at the same time... That'd be difficult for me, for a variety of reasons. Thanks
Yo! Welcome 🙏🏽 Thank you for watching Please remember to SUBSCRIBE, WATCH & LIKE 👍🏽 my videos it helps the channel reach more viewers who need this content 🙏🏽 Ok so you must follow the schools program curriculum some schools are set up different so ex… State College it takes 2 years and during the week you will have 1 day of class work and 3 days of clinical. Private schools you have 3 months of class work and 3 months of clinicals. Every school is set up differently so you much choose what works best for you but they won’t allow you to make up your own schedule… would be nice though 🙂 Hope this helped 🙏🏽
@@juanmotiva8s959 thanks. So then private schools do the clinicals at a time when you're not taking classes, correct? 3 months classes, and then after that, 3 months clinicals?
@js_guyman So yes but only some private schools. I live in Florida so here we have a private school called Kieser University & it’s only 16 months long & they have their curriculum set up as such … 3 Months class & 3 months clinicals until the 16 months are over.
@juanmotiva8s959 awesome, thanks

Hey, thanks for sharing your thoughts! I listened to your video where you mentioned that you were 27 when you started the radiology program. You also talked about how you initially enrolled in a sonography program but changed your mind. I can relate to that. I was in a fast-track program to become a registered nurse (RN), but unfortunately, due to my immigration status, I didn't qualify for a loan through the FAFSA program since I'm neither a resident nor a citizen. I have two children: a newborn and a 5-year-old daughter. I started the RN program because I met the requirements and wanted to progress in my career to earn a better salary. Currently, I’ve been working at the front desk of an ophthalmology clinic for almost a year, from 7 AM to 4 PM. Right now, I’m taking classes at Miami Dade College to complete the prerequisites for either the radiology or dental hygiene programs. My job is also training me to become an ophthalmic technician, which could slightly improve my salary. I see this as a good opportunity while I continue my studies. To be honest, my wife is not working since she is taking care of our newborn, so I’m the sole provider for our household. I am currently funding my college tuition with help from my dad, who is loaning me the money. Do you have any advice for me?
This just brought me to tears. I found your video because I googled “how do I know if I’m smart enough for radiology”. Thank you for posting this.

QUESTION: This is what I am searching for: Does anyone know of a BOOK that has been written about the personal experiences in the life of a Radiology Technologist, CT Tech, or MRI Tech, working in their profession ? I checked on Amazon, and couldn't find anything. I am looking for a personal life experience working in the profession book, not a text book about the profession. There are books that have been written by nurses about their personal experiences working as a nurse. I found a single book about this topic written by a surgical technologist. But nothing has been written by a Rad Tech, CT Tech or MRI Tech. If YOU or anyone knows of such a book, please respond. Someone needs to write such a book.
Hi Cynthia Not sure if any books 📚 but that’s a good idea 💭
