- This video explores the abilities, powers, and origin of the Masters of the Universe character "Skeletor." From Keldor being the hybrid son of King Miro and a Gar woman on the planet Eternia, this making him the half-brother of the future King Randor and the uncle of Prince Adam aka He-Man, training under Hordak the brutal ruler of neighboring planet Etheria before eventually turning on him, his efforts to become the most powerful sorcerer in the universe leading to years missing in another dimension, being villainous and comical while getting along with no one other than Panthor, using his vast dark magical powers and trusty Havoc Staff as well as engineering genius to be a major factor during every appearance in all the major comic book publishers and animated series, planning countless campaigns to control Castle Grayskull and gain the infinite Power of Grayskull from his Snake Mountain lair, to never ceasing in his quest for more power; Let's take a look at this classic action figure / animation supervillain become a comic book mainstay, and the most popular antagonist of the Masters of the Universe franchise. This includes a short, canon character biography and my own opinionated "Sage Rating," which I use to give ratings of comic book and science fiction characters.

I agree, he is dangerous. However there two others that I consider somewhat equal to his evil. Such as King Hiss, and Hordak. All three of them in a fight? Is seriously a nightmare death battle.
i ve never understood that skeletor was able to defeat hordak (who is WAY more powerful magic wise) but gets defeated by king hiss

Hyped for the new He-man series.
I am still traumatized by the holiday special where he was affected by the Christmas spirit and started to be nice.
The kids thanked him for protecting them and defeating a giant snowbeast, and so did the puppy. I doubt Skeletor ever experienced such well deserved praise in years.
The fact that Mark Hamill is going to voice him in the new He-Man series should really give him a more sinister turn. We never got to see Skeletor take people out like Megatron did in Transformers The Movie.

Because this is from my time, when the role model of a man was a muscular manly man, and women where represented as beautiful women.
Of course we are not all like that, and that's ok, but the objective of art is to show us something beautiful, for example the ancient statues of men and women where all fit and beautiful.

I liked Skeletor more than anyone else on the show. The same with the fucking movie! The makeup and costume in the movie were amazing. Btw Sage you've been knocking it out of the park lately. Great work. Love watching the uploads.
40 f*cking years of watching He man. Never knew this about SKELETOR.
The idea of Skeletor being Keldor and Adam's uncle was hinted way back in the 80s comics (mot the cartoon). Seek "The search for Keldor" issue.
In the 2002 series, it was established that Keldor was Skeletor, but no family ties established yet.
However, when it's formed definitely its in the 2010 Origins comics, and especially in the DC comics of 2012 to 2016 (that leads to the Eternety War comics), where Keldor was Adam's uncle, the elder. However, since he was from the Gar people, he was rejected, and he exiled. Hordak trained him and wiped his memories to make him Skeletor. In Origins storyline, Hordak inserted him a demon inside him to make him loyal to The Horde, but Skeletor's will is too strong to become a servant, so that demon only keeps him evil.
With the new Netflix MOTU Revolution series, this story is cemented as cannon.
As a kid a I preferred Panthor over Battle Cat. I’d even switch them when I played with my He-Man toys and have Panthor with He-Man.
That’s funny I liked Panthor better than BC too. Panthor had a way cooler look. But if you remember he was hardly given any screen time. There were very few scenes with him and it would always just be a quick shot.
Pretty much the only action he would get was him bouncing off Battle Cat after getting body checked. Lol

3. In the minicomic The Tale of Teela it's hinted that Skeletor is possibly Teela's biological father. Which at the time would've oddly meant that He Man and Teela were kissing cousins before that was retconed

This dude was always underestimated in my opinion because of the comical aspect he sometimes portrayed. To me make no mistake I could not stand this character (boarder line the "h" word...lol). It also shows how good I found a lot of the He-Man storylines to be. Fantastic, outstanding, fun, overall very cool narration, video and content my brother New Sage very much so appreciated, greatly expected. Skeletor , Ghost Rider and the Red Skull need to hook up. They would make an awesome team. BTW The Redskull kinda reminded me of Skeletor in Infinity War.

On the Filmation MOTU cartoon, he wasn't threatening enough.
However, the series was aimed at kids, so it's understandable.
He's quite powerful, though, in other media.

Skeletor became a villain the moment getting his face melted off caused him to lose all his drip.
It’s crazy because literally 2 days ago I was like I want skeletor to have his own movie.
One thing that'll help Skeletor's image is his first introduction to the new TV series coming on NETFLIX and a more demanding threat as a villain. He can have his flair similar to that of the old TV shows, but he needs to be a threat, not just killing people but having a huge effect on the overall world of Eternia, don't just let his exploits be an 'episodic affair'.

How cool would it be if someone ends up making He-man Origins movie series. Skeletor deserves his own damn show. I can not think of a greater and more loved villain in any franchise anywhere than skeletor. Without him, He-man is nothing.

So all this time Skeletor has been hemans Uncle. I thought that was just something from the 2009 reboot.
