My husband died of kidney cancer in 2020. He doesn't have any symptoms but in Feb on a short holiday he felt a sudden chills otherwise was feeling ok. No blood in urine, no sudden weight loss, no pain. He was on Metformin for his type 2 diabetes. He was a little anaemic as he has thalassemia minor. His health started to deteriorate in june/july and he passed away on 26 Oct 2020, 1 week to our 28th wedding anniversary. I cried everyday for the first few months n stll missing him. Thanks for reading my story wishing everyone good health..
This is the best medical channel around. I like that you don't waffle but go straight into the topic. Your videos are very informative and you explain things very clearly. Thank you, Dr O'Donovan. 💐
I was diagnosed the saturday just gone with 10cm cancer on my right kidney. But now i have to wait till 10th of july to see a specialist. I am in so much pain in my lower back and legs. I also feel horrible which isn't normal for me. All i was told is to present to ED for pain relief.
1 Corinthians 15:3-4 KJV How that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures, that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.
Thank you for this informative video! I didn’t realize some of these symptoms could be linked to kidney cancer. It’s important to know what to look out for. Definitely going to stay more aware of my health moving forward!
That happened to me I was at stage 2 kidney cancer I had a 12cm tumor on it had to have entire kidney removed along with part of liver I had no symptoms no pain
I have surgery tomorrow to remove my right kidney. In late June a lesion was found. I went to hospital because I felt like I was having a heart attack. Those tests showed something different. So now its get to the issue. Wish I had known these things earlier
How common is kidney cancer in fit, young males (35 years of age) who have healthy kidney function on full body MOT? I’ve been having multiple UTIs showing klebsiella and E-coli on separate occasions?
I dont know if common but Im a healthy 39 yr old that was just diagnosed with renal cell carcinoma with no symptoms… we only caught it from doing imaging for something else.
I have purple red blood in urine for three days now , flank pain that come and go, i had an UTI, and I have pain in kidneys whose severity varies with an urge to urinate more often, but now for some time i feel tired all the time I have never been like this before , I can't focus on studies, my ultrasound results are clear but i have a constant feeling that something is wrong.
Hi, I really want to ask you something. I have been coughing for like few weeks and it doesn't change. First time I had really bad cough and phlegm in chest and wheezing but now I dont have any still 1 or 3 cough a day. I kinda had gone to a place 2 days ago and my cough is back. My cough only comes alot on night tho. I also hav slight chest pain sometimes. Idk if its becuz of my anxiety tho. So I just wanna know why I have this cough. Also Im 14
Go to the doctor I don’t wanna scare you but you might have asthma it isn’t bad thing to have but you need help from doctor because they can give you inhalers and if you get phlegm come up to your throat spit it out it doesn’t matter if your sick
Thank you so much for watching the video and taking time to leave a comment. Unfortunately (and I know this will be frustrating for you), I am unable to give individual medical advice out on this channel. This is because of medico-legal reasons, not knowing your full case, circumstances, and it would be unethical of me to do so otherwise. I have included the general resources I used to make this video in the description box but I have to advise that you speak to your own health provider (e.g. doctor, nurse) so that they can properly assess your case. This is the safest and most ethical advice I can give since this is just intended as a general educational resource. Thanks for understanding.
Take vitamin C, zinc and elderberry. Also, sit relaxed and take slow deep inhales as far as you can go without coughing - up to a count of eight. Over time should increase. Hold for five and then slow as you can exhale - as far down as you can go without coughing. Then take a few normal deep inhales and exhales. No matter what this will help. Do this three times a day.
Sir, my dad is growing through a lot. He got a brain stroke. His brain has multiple small blood cloth. On 23 jan he got unconscious and still didn't awake.. he is currently in icu where doctor said it's serious issue and Dr said surgery can't be done l.. I don't know what to do. For your suggestion I am writing this comment.. I am from India... Hopefully you will reply for this msg😢
Hi Dr, I’ve had flank pain in one and both sides. Been to my GP who did a general examination. Chest and heart sounds fine, no lumps, blood pressure fine, urine spot test and no blood in urine, no weight loss and no loss of appetite. Kidney stones ruled out by GP It’s been 10 days now and I still get flank pain intermittently? It’s a weird pain, can’t really tell if it’s muscle related. Although have been doing side planks that could be the source of pain. I think my anxiety has kicked in as someone I know has just been diagnosed with kidney cancer 😢. My question is, would Kidney cancer flank pain occur even if no blood is present in urine? My GP didn’t look alarmed at all but I’m wondering if I should go back just to make sure. Thank you
Good for you. Reminds me of an old joke. A lady went to her doctor and said "doctor doctor every time I do this with my arm it hurts!" So the doctor said "So don't do that." Good for you for figuring that out.
I've been smoking 50 grams of tobacco every two days for a while now if I say oh it's too hard to quit, I will in effect be programming myself to fail so I have to down play it, believe it's easy, it isn't but I think the fact I've managed it before has pissed off piss ants who kid themselves on it's impossible, "How's he managed that?" Kind of thing, you know the type of people jealous as always they are didn't realise it's a personality type!
Haha let's see. You sold your kidney so you won't get kidney cancer, you gave your heart to a sweetheart, you squandered your liver to alcohol, you threw out your stomach because you couldn't stomach it, but at least you left yourself with a few organs good for you.

How do you examine the kidneys?
I actually made another video on this: ruclips.net/video/O_Iwwegw-ek/видео.html

Do CT scan
With and without contact
Any time blood passes out of the body you should see a doctor. Come on I'll bet you knew that.

Perhaps you have hydronephrosis, which isn't deadly.
