Symptoms of anal cancer include:
- bleeding from the back passage
- pain
- bowel changes
- severe itching (pruritus)
These symptoms can also be from other conditions, such as piles (haemorrhoids) or anal fissure. But it is important that you see your GP with any symptoms. Some people might have no symptoms.

I had loads of polyps in bowel and stomache had some bowels removed in 2 operation s had my ovaries and tubes removed abd had my stomache removed 3 years ago because of the hundreds of polyps I have juvenile polyposis syndrome and hht and pancreatic enzyme insufficiency.

I was bleeding from the back passage and I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis.
Before seeing my Dr I had no pain etc… I just had the bleeding which got me down psychologically.
I’m now on medication and all the bleeding has now stopped.
I recently went for a scan and another endoscopy procedure.
I was diagnosed 4 yrs ago and my local hospital have kept on top of my colitis… they have been fantastic

I was diagnosed with anal cancer aged 55 , I had a tiny flap of skin on the exit of my bottom which I thought nothing of but after a biopsy proved to be cancerous.
I had a routine 5 week course of radiotherapy at Christie’s along with chemotherapy in week 1 and week 5.
I got the all clear 3 months later and have been clear for 6 years- please get checked if suspicious

I was treated for anal cancer in 2012. Had chemo - mitimycin and 5FU the 1st week of 30 radiation treatments. The last week I had 5FU. I’m still here and almost 64 😊. I was stage 3a - no nodes and no metastasis.

Thank you for explaining this to me. I watched my mom go through anus cancer many many years ago. She had the treatment and ended up 1st degree burns from the radiation. She was up in her late 70"s. It really took a lot of her.we are inthe U.S.

We're just hoping that we don't have any problems of any kind... namely of this kind of sickness like anal and colorectal and so on. I just seen my gastroenterologist and talked about it and she suggested to get a colonoscopy in order to treat it nicely and correctly. Hoping it would heal by prescription and it will go away. There was an ads about treating and cost more and can treat for hemorrhoid as long as not bad it would be alright. And for anus cancer it should be treatable and be fine and back to healthy and have a normal life. God bless
Hi I had got some fresh blood in stool a week back, not after that , but a little pain continued and burning sensation after stool, the stool movement is not hard its soft and I dont have any abdominal pain is it a concern ?

I've had inflammation for ages and finally done a colonoscopy and there was inflammation instead of hemorrhoids.
What were the symptoms of inflammation?

I have a question I once had pilonidal cyst in 2017 and time to time butt cleft and near anal area becomes very painful especially with hormonal change it is like nerves on fire pulsating discomfort sort of shooting pain degree 3 4 out of 10 there is no bleeding or bowl issue I try to incorporate fibers and bowl movements are ok however high risk of cancer in family. I am worried since I never surgically did anything about pilonidal cyst it is underlying cause. I am not sure to what category of speciality I should go check it out. Family dr not helpful at all
Ask your doctor to refere you to a coloscopie examination. It is the best thing you can do for your self and especially if you suffer over it for such a long time. Even if it do not turn out to be cancer you might still get help with what ever is causing your pain. There is no reason for you to wait it out, just get the coloscopie and you will feel better when you know what you are dealing with.
I have nothing but itching and pain and it’s only when I’m trying to sleep what can I do🫠
It may be rare in the UK but not in America. They are sending out test kits to everybody on Medicare now and a letter saying it is the 2nd most common cause of death in my state of Georgia.

they are finding that some people they think it is also those that have inflammatory diseases in the pelvis long term. They also say having a biopsy can not PULL cancer through to colon or anas or other areas. I have colon cancer and yes, I had images a week prior and AFTER the surgeon did the biopsy, it went from a stage 2 to INSIDE the organ instantly to the last stage 4. yea...

I'm 66. I got a new doctor but I don't think she gives a "d" about me. I've got all these health problems and I feel like total shit all the time. I went to my new dr 1st time in Jan, in Feb I got Covid for a 2nd time but she wouldn't see me for my 2nd appt due to I had Covid. Then I saw her in March. She didn't tell me how my heart and lungs sounded and I forgot to ask. So then she didn't schedule me another appt until July with her NP helper. In the meantime I suppose to get some other things done like sleep test. I hesitate to go to her to ask for this rectal exam but I think something is maybe wrong with me down there. I have a lot of trouble going to the bathroom. I'm so totally mentally and physically miserable; I think I hate my life.

Turns out I think I have a bit of anal cancer.
Get it checked out NOW. Put up with treatment as much as you can if diagnosed. Take charge of your own Q & A & don't expect specialists will be as supportive as you need. You can come out ok
Same thing happened with my husband. First prostate, then internal hemorrhoids. Maybe both, but tumor was the culprit. He just got his diagnosis.

Yes I've been searching for a more nontoxic to my own bodies immune system way of treating my anal cancer❤. Prayer and fasting helps loads. Research intermittent fasting to starve tumor cells. Stay away from sugars and high fructose corn syrup that cancer feeds on. Basically everything good for our health is bad for cancer and vice versa. It thrives in acidic low oxygen environment. Well, watching them melt away within 48 hours felt so good, and yes, I used what I mentioned the other day. It actually took a bit more to make them totally disappear, I just go’ogled Melissa Thanderski and the pain unexpectedly disappeared so quickly.

@@DoctorODonovan The burning and itching has had me down for 5 yrs. Like red ants biting all the time. Constant very thick mucus sometimes stringy or like yellow jello... 15 viles of blood/no food allergy. Four different hospital parasite testing/nothing- Colonoscopy all they said was, "No polyps" Hemorrhoid's camera/nothing. I dont drink, eat sugar, sugar sub.. or honey. No changes. I do drink lots of water but still Constant thick mucus & one Pa said "everyone has mucus" smh I go through a roll of tp a day and a bottle of Lidocaine a week. Another PA put me on Nystatin and Diflucan 150 mg a day for 30 days nothing. A new PA has put me on 400 mg Diflucan a day. All I do is throw it up. A slow way to die in western USA
Some times an itchy bottom can be caused by lack of magnesium --- or you could have worms--- using small pieces if ice around yr anus or put a small piece into yr anus can stop the itching temporarily!!!!! If iching hasnt stoped after goi g through these few steps its best to go see yr gp!!!!! Good luck

hello , used without realising for 1month prednisone and cortisone anal cream for hemorrhoids..Internet studies claim that it might cause reactivation of HPV, worsening of AIN and anal cancer... so now I have a risk factor which making my life miserable,,, im scared to death of this anal cancer

My father got three times pimples in anus area. First time in July 2022, second time in February 2023 and third time in April this year.
Actually he had Fistula.
He visited local doctor and take medicines and cream, but he doesn't want surgey/operation of fistula. He is 46.
Pimple ripe and he feel pain, a lot of pain, and after one or two days, it burst and he get relief.
I want to ask, Is there any risk of Anal Cancer? Should he go for surgery? What is the percentage of chance to develop anal cancer.
