    This was faster than chatting with samsung tech support after an hour of telling me to do the equivalent of power/reset i was told i needed to have service done on my 1 an a half year machine. And he won't tell me what the problem could be
    5 minutes in your video and i already have my machine turned on its side and that panel off. There was water, can't seem to find the source either.
    I opted to stack a few tiny washers underneath the sensor were the screws go to raise the contact pins off the panel. It should make it much less sensitive with out dissabling the safety feature. We shall see
    Its running fine now, thanks a bunch

    Hi Neal. Thanks so much for the advice on the Samsung Dishwasher LC problem. After watching your RUclips video, I did what you had suggested. I took apart the right side plate, No Water on the bottom. The hose I had to drain but what really helped was the Sensor you explained. It Worked. I did it differently though. I completely Removed the Sensor because when I removed it to clean, there was a drop of water. I can't believe how sensitive that is so I removed it all together. Thanks again. I'm looking forward to your Bathroom Demolition. Lolololol Andrea, NYC

    Thank you so much for this video. I just went ahead and dried up that plate with the sensor on it. I just think we put too much soap in it and something happened (had a nice big leak last night). But, if it happens again, I’m just gonna take the sensor out of the way like you did. 👍👌. Obviously, if it leaks again, we got a whole different thing going on.

    Thanks to everyone for sharing how to fix the LC error code on the Samsung Dishwasher. I also had the code & the machine would not shut off. There was some moisture in the plastic pan under the machine, looked to be about 1/4 cup or less. However there were droplets which indicated to me it was more about condensation than actual leaking. I didn't find any tube or pipe connections where obvious leaking had occurred. I left the sensor in the original location, but lifted it up by using small washers to increase clearance from the probe ends to the top of any accumulated water in the future. Taking the probe completely up out of the pan seemed risky to me based on my prior experience with a slow leaking dishwasher that swelled up the under-layment floor and required major repairs. I'll return to comment if the error comes back soon, and whether I'll follow the video and yank the sensor out..... Nov 2020.

    I have worked on appliances for a long time. None of the videos are the solution. This moisture sensor is in place for a reason. If there is water in this area, there is obviously a leak. This feature is exceptional for any manufacturer to place in the machine. It indicates a sealing failure of the water containment vessel. Either the pump shaft seal is leaking, the tub seal is leaking, or a hose is leaking. The only way to find it is to raise the unit so that you can observe where the leak is coming from while it has water in it and it is running. Once a visual of the leak is found, only then can you "permanently" fix the issue.

      I totally agree with this. Disabling the sensor is an invitation to disaster. We bought and totally rehabbed our house two years ago, so I've got new flooring that doesn't need to buckle from undetected moisture. The machine is barely two years old and started giving us LC fits about 3 months past the warranty of 18 months. So, we're chalking this up to experience and buying a new dishwasher - *not* a Samsung. And never any Samsung again. The old unit is free to anyone who likes to tinker with stuff or wants to turn it in for scrap. Times are hard.

    I was able to flip the sensor over (sensor pins pointing up) and put the screw back in. There's a lot of headroom, so the sensor isn't obstructed.
    I also read that you should check the screws inside the machine under the filter.

    Did you pay attention as to where the water was coming from? I’ve recently procured a lesser model than yours but noticed the hot water connection is made to where if it leaks, even drips it will be caught by the drain Pan. Long term water damage to your subfloors and tile wouldn’t be worth getting a dishwasher functional. I’ve not seen anyone file warranty claims to resolve their issues. If I were the original purchaser I would but, have no standing with the used model we got. Are Samsung warranty claims more trouble than it’s worth? Happy New Year, thanks for sharing.

    Same problem, same issue. What started this mess was the unit was not able to drain due to a fairly clogged filter causing the unit to have excess water in it when I ran it again. Code 5C/SC. Figured I'd deal with it in the morning.
    The next morning, I started getting the LC code. Took it apart and I tried drying the bottom, and dry out the sensor itself. There was some moisture present, but very very little. Took the sensor off completely (unhooked it and removed it) and the unit worked fine! Put it back on (wire connector) and right back to the LC error code. So I took the sensor back off and set it outside in the sun to 'air-out' and dry out. Put it back on, no error code.

  • @MarkSWilliams27
    @MarkSWilliams27 Год назад

    One thing people should check is this. There are two pumps. One is on the left side where you were taking the bottom pan off. The other (where mine leaked) is on the right side as you face the dishwasher. Well, those pumps easily twist apart. And inside, you will find a medium-sized o-ring. The o-rings are easily found at Ace Hardware/True Value. Take the pump with you. Replace them!
    I have seen no videos where the o-rings were mentioned. They were causing the leak and therefore the sensor detected water and display ed the error code.
    Unfortunately, I ended up with a door leak after fixing the leak on the underside. Bad gasket on the very bottom of the door ($40 plus shipping) allowed lots of built-up gunk into an evaporation tray. Another common problem with Samsung dishwashers - water leaking from the bottom of the door.
    Long story short, upon taking off the door skin to investigate/clean somehow the board got messed up. It was at this point I declared the thing was truly now junk. And we went to the store and got a Bosch.
    Never buy a Samsung anything.

  • @walperstyle
    @walperstyle 4 года назад +1

    Well, I keep getting this error message. I've taken apart the entire bottom of the machine. No debris in any of the pumps or hoses. So I'm thinking th problem may be that the side hose assembly (the sight glass on the left side of the unit) might be the problem. It looks like it is air-locking during the cycle. A bubble trapped in there, not able to remove the water completely. So, I'm thinking I may bypass that unit all together. How I'm going to do this... I'm not sure. If I figure it out, I'll update everyone.

    Great video! Same "LC error" on my samsung dishwasher....geeeeezzzz looks like all of them are the same!!! At first, I have been trying to dry off the drip pan to clear the LC code but I got tired of that quickly
    .. nothing better then after a whole day of work I have to deal with "honey, YOUR dishwasher is displaying same error AGAIN and I need you to fix it NOW", - mind you key words "YOUR, AGAIN, NOW" says it all ... lol. Since we have 2 little kids, this machine is an essential piece of kitchen equipment. Lately I have been just unplugging it, opening the door for the night and plugging it back on the next morning. Got tired of it all also. Enough is enough. I gave it a chance not once, not 10 times but hundred of times at least. I am going to remove the sensor like your showed in your video. Yes, I am risking but I can't live like that anymore. Question for you... any feedback after 1 year without that sensor? Any issues? We run the dishwasher fully loaded sometimes twice a day due to little kids in the house. I was wondering if you happen to have any feedback on "living without a sensor" - thanks. Kris

It works fine now but I ordered a new dishwasher, no more Samsung products for me

    • @glassylassie0614
      @glassylassie0614 3 года назад

      About three months after the warranty ran out, we saw our first LC code. We've pulled the dishwasher three times, monkeyed with it, dried it out, and it works for about a month. Then the same problem. We even added washers to adjust the height of the sensor. Still didn't last but a month. This dishwasher was professionally installed, and we never detected any leaks in the hoses. It's obviously a Samsung problem. So, today, we had it. I ordered a replacement (different brand) and will offer this up on Craig's List or Facebook Marketplace to anyone who wants it for scrap or wants to tinker with it. I *refuse* to pay $30 to have it hauled off. I've already wasted money by buying this thing in the first place. I have other Samsung appliances, some of which are great, some of which aren't. But I will *never* buy a Samsung appliance again. Ever.

    My Samsung started draining non stop this morning around 1 am and the "heavy" cycle is blinking. Around 3 am I finally figured out something was wrong. I called the help line today for Samsung and was told to take the kick plate in the front off and place a fan and let it dry over night. I don't think I will be able to get the dishwasher out from where it is housed because when the floors was redone in this house, they did not run it under the dishwasher, instead it stops in front of the dishwasher blocking it in so it won't slide out. Any suggestions on what to do with out ruining the floors? If your answer is drop kicking it, then I already tried that around 4 am.

    • @nealoldham3426
      @nealoldham3426  4 года назад +1

      So sorry you are having to deal with that. That fan idea may work but the problem will come back. My floors are like that also. There are little risers that the machine sits on. They can be screwed up or down. I assume if your machine is flush with the new floor then those little risee legs are turned pretty high. If you can reach them once you take off the kick plate then screw them down to make the machine shorter in the front. Once you have gotten it shorter you will probably have enough space under your counter to get the machine angled to pull it out over the floor. I know if is complicated but getting rid of that noise is worth the effort. Good luck!

      I shut the breaker off for a week and it seem to work until early one morning around 3 a.m. the diswasher turned itself on and started draining again. Funny thing is, I didn't even get to use the damn thing before it broke again. So my fix for now is just leaving the breaker off.

    Should you get the error code LC
    Before you take your dishwasher apart.
    Check under your kitchen sink, where the dishwasher connects to the drain.
    Disconnect your dishwasher drain, and see if the drain itself is blocked.
    Even if you find tiny debris that might be the reason for the LC error code.

    This isn't a fix its a workaround. Just an FYI...Mine threw the code because my sink wasn't draining due to a clog down in the drain pipe. I called a Mr Rooter he snaked my line and now my sink is draining. I am happy for this moisture sensor cause it stopped the water add to my dishwasher. In the past the dishwasher is running and if it can't drain all the water runs all over the floor. Ruining your wood floor. This video bypasses a moisture sensor. While I agree that I don't want to do this every 3 months, I would much rather pull it out and blow dry the sensor than find all my floor boards bowed to my floor flooding while I am sleeping. I am sure that Samsung doesn't like spending all the money to send techs at a $300-$500 a pop to dry a sensor and will eventually come up with a permanent fix that isn't as risky.

      I am following a Samsung suggestion and not pulling out my dishwasher instead I removed the kick plate(2 screws) then taped up the rubber skirt underneath and stick a fan to blow in it for a couple hours I will report if that works.

      So my 2 hours of fan and breaker off didn't work BUT!!!! breaker off and fan OVERNIGHT did work! I was skeptical of fan after seeing the sensor buried under a plastic shield how a fan air would get to it. On the other side some circuit boards don't reset error codes unless power is off for a certain amount of time. I am not sure which of the two fixed it but I will try 1 at a time if error returns and report back.

      @@larjam3866 Did you point the fan at the dishwasher while it was on its side and the pan uninstalled? Can you clarify how you positioned the fan? Also wondering if you had any recurrences of this LC error code issue after you tried this approach. Thanks!

    Do not follow his advice. This sensor there is there for a reason!!! You risk flooding your kitchen. You probably have a bad shaft seal like mine had.

    I have the same dishwasher, same thing just happened, I just watched before this video... they said just open the door give it a day or two for the sensor to dry off and it should work, I currently have a fan sitting in mine to assist if that doesn't work going to do what you've done here. Cheap overpriced Chinese built crap. Samsung better get their shit together.....seeing nothing but problems with ALL of their product line.

    So truthfully, you didn't fix anything. You just removed the warning system that is telling you there is a problem and called it "fixed". You might want to change the title of this video. Then go watch an actual repair: ruclips.net/video/zmCfZOQ3M5Y/видео.htmlsi=oebEzTA0H-ugn02i
