This is my sons song. He beat every odds the doctors gave him. I remember sitting by his incubator and hearing this come one the radio at the nurses station. Of course his name is Broudie 😁
Incredible song from a brilliant album, just makes me feel great, and from my home town too, will never stop playing this till I hit the soil, wonderful.
I'm a big fan of the late 60s and 70s rock period of music but there is no denying the 90s were up there with some of the best music made. So many great songs from great bands. What went wrong lol
My local radio (Amber, belper uk) played this the other day, as they always do, with great forgotten songs of the 80's and 90's. I quickly had to write down the name of it. And now its such a pleasure to find and listen to songs I'd totally forgotten about. This song is so smooth, pure and lovely. You think to yourself, this is proper music writing.
man I'll be 60 in your few months and this is a great pick me up song. dig the Music. and the cover of the turtles' You Showed Me from 1969 was an unexpected delight. Splendid!!!🎯
Saw these in Manchester December 2016 supporting madness. What a fantastic set of songs they did. Great band who deserve more recognition than they got in their hay day 😍😍
This one brings back a lot of memories. Had this song on a tape (IIRC the greatest hits of 1995 Top of the Pops tape) and I'm listening to it in Homework Club, 6 months in to my first year of high school feeling miserable because I wanted to be in Computer Club instead. Next month that is 22 years ago. How times flies.
When i was a Kid i used to hear Ian brodie play and play Fottie with him in Menlove gardens in Liverpool nice to see he Made it ..King David Youth Club has a winner !!
Every song I look up from these is brill''.Friggin great and underrated, these are a top band and should be better know surely.I love em! Theyre my new fave band!
I don't understand how LS didn't became a famous group in 90's.They got it everything to be successful: precious melodies and catchy chorus...which are your three favourite songs? 1) Life is too short 2) Sugar coated icerbeg 3) perfect It's difficult to pick out 3 songs amog a loft of beautiful songs.
Just heard of this seemingly Alternative rock band from the early '90's in Europe...from Twitter! They seem,to me,pretty awesome! I must say, their sound does have somewhat of a now antiquated feel to it...being that it was two decades ago, when this came out!
+Bryan Briggs Amazing band loved them for years and fortunate to see them at Glastonbury live - amazing acoustic tent and just as brill and not a disappointment at all :)
I love this tune! the lightning seeds are an awesome band! this song always reminds me of Mark and Lard because they used it in their classic Radio one show.
q linda epoca de 1994.q grupazo...tenia 16 años...hoy dia soy viejo choto de 40 años jiji..jose de paraguay...este tema es el recuerdo de mi bells adolecencia del 94

Long live The Lightning Seeds !!!!!!!!
Just love this, I'm an Aussie that was living in the UK in the 80's & 90's... Got hooked on these fantastic bands of that time, hard to let them go...
I grew up in London but moved to Sydney in 2002. So good going back through these songs!

I'm a big fan of the late 60s and 70s rock period of music but there is no denying the 90s were up there with some of the best music made. So many great songs from great bands. What went wrong lol
Darren Groves but this wasn't the popular music from the 90's if you look at the more indie undiscovered stuff from now it's good
Darren Groves simon cowell thats what
nobody makes this kind of great music anymore ! top band!
Definitely the sound of the 90s loved this band.
Exactly. Like the 90s bottled
As a Northern Soul fanatic, I'm not usually into this kind of stuff, but this record is a huge exception! Pure class. I can't get enough of it!

Unlike many reviews here I am not generally a fan of 90's music but this band and The Beautiful South were exceptions being all time favourites.
I love this song, co written by Terry Hall plus one. No wonder it's such a standout song!
Love the way this was recorded on vhs then uploaded to RUclips. I’m well into old school analog methods. I once listened to a song through a hose pipe
When i was a Kid i used to hear Ian brodie play and play Fottie with him in Menlove gardens in Liverpool nice to see he Made it ..King David Youth Club has a winner !!

It's a sad day, but I'm comforted by this sad yet exciting music.
