Heads up to anyone watching this: --> you can move the file browser to the right using the blue eye icon in the top, you can drag the browser around in there instead and disable certain parts of the UI as well. That confused me for a good 15 minutes.
For anyone needing this, kinda like Tonk said, but I couldn't find the option to move the file browser. You can do what Tonk said, but another way to do it is go into settings on the top, then Appearance, then under the browser category you can change it's position
Good video. Thanks. The following question is directed to the channel or anybody on this channel who may have the answers. As far as looping goes I can't seem to find any videos that cover the ability to change the loop as it's playing e.g. moving the beginning and/or ending loop points as the loop is playing so it's shortened or lengthened on the next cycle. Does Waveform free or paid have that option? Also does Waveform have an automated zero crossing point finding and marking feature. I have used other music software that will make a series of slices of a clip at points it thinks might be useful sample chunks. Thanks in advance for your attention to this.
I don't see the little icons in the top right of the arrange window. Just the + red, + grey, and Orange Midi circle. No shortcuts, no drag to arrange windows icon.
Both Waveform Free and Pro come with a collection of useful instrument and effects plugins. Should you need more there are 1000's of free options out there - ruclips.net/video/zalI7iKJ8a4/видео.html
I feel like this is only for mac, I couldnt find any of the settings he was pointing out and stayed completely lost. I rewinded and tried again a few times and cannot find his options.
The look has changed a little in W12 but it's most definitely a Windows, macOS and Linux DAW. If you're just getting started this video might help - ruclips.net/video/gxTugw72KDM/видео.html
Loops can be found anywhere. We offer some sound packs but there are a ton of free ones out there. A great starting point would be this site: www.bandlab.com/sounds/loops
I'm sorry but this Lesson 4 is in no way in a logical path with the first 3. In the previous lesson, you recorded a take with your guitar. The logical thing that I am now waiting for is *obviously* how to trim that take. I want to trim the beginning and the end, to get rid of the "moving away from my computer, grabbing my instrument, and vice-versa at the end.". I may also want to turn that take into a loop. Once I have a loop, then this lesson 4 falls in place.

when changing the tempo of the loop, I had to also set the "root tempo" in Loops Properties to the correct bpm, which in this case is 140bpm.
Thank you! I had a hard time with that
thanks!
do I need to install plugins and loops from third party sources and are there any I can get for free?
