Thank you for this video. I'm now committed to moving to Cebu in Jan. Now that I finally received my passport, I can now start planning my trip. I've been searching online for condo's in Cebu and depending on the location, the prices vary a lot. I like the idea of living close to the malls to start, but I want to live a little higher up the mountain for the peace and quiet and more of the natural beauty of Cebu. However, as you said, living further away from the malls and restaurants, the traffic cost and time will be a determining factor where I settle. I will definitely contact Sabrina and ask her opinion and see if she can help me with my transition to this beautiful city.

Most of condos are requiring 6 months to 1 year lease contract. You can rent Airbnb unit in most of the buildings to see if you like the building or not. Don’t rush to sign a 6 month contract at the beginning.

Great information. I stayed in Solinea tower 2 for a month and really enjoyed it. By far the friendliest staff I’ve experienced in the Philippines. If I were to pick Cebu has my permanent home and wanted to buy, I would pick this building and location.

Love the amenities in this high rise! I decided condo living will be for me when I eventually retire in the Philippines! I was dead set on a house when I visited last month just because I've been living in houses for a long time. But, like you Mike, I love the on-site amenities, walking to shops and restaurants and over all helping me stay active and around people! Great video, Mike!

Mike we stay in Solinea and can certainly recommend it. Its clean, safe and a short walk to Ayala mall. The rental rates are about right for the locationas it is in the middle of the city and close to the Mall. Also they have emergency generators so both the lights and the internet stay on. During the typhoon two years ago the pool was closed but at least we had lights and internet, which was important. During that time power was off in the whole of the city for about 6 weeks.

I was expecting to see the interior of the condo. Anyway, I wouldn't want to live in a big city longterm. I've done that long enough here in Belgium. But I can understand that some people prefer to proximity of malls, schools, hospitals, etc. over the tranquility of provincial life.

I plan to stay in Cebu my first six months. I’ll be looking for a condo with a good gym…dumbbells, elliptical, treadmill, lap pool, etc. My focus is hitting the gym at least five days a week. One bedroom with sitting area…decent kitchen, couch, balcony, full-size refrigerator, etc. My Filipina would like something near one of the large malls. Three months deposit is ridiculous.

Good job Mike… I think carefree Chris was in that condo while he was in Cebu. Motivating Pete again never too late as old guys we need our resistance training. I never liked the gyms I got what I needed through my lifestyle and sports but that being said after three years with the younger brother-in-law work out I never had felt better. Where are we at Mike? 18 K congrats I told you by September. Maybe see you in Cebu🇨🇦

Perhaps do a second interview to discuss long term rental vs buying a condo. Plus show the size of the condos. We have lived an condos both big and small, plus AirB&B in many different condos. We had to pay extra for car parking too. Personally if I would consider buying I would look for a condo next to the beach and probably want to compare to Thailand beach condos.
