My best acquisition this year was a PORTUGUESE MAUSER M937A -K98 RIFLE -COLLECTORS COMBO. The rifle is in very good condition and bought it from Atlantic. Bore is in excellent condition! Came with a bayonet, sling and 945 rounds of Greek 8mm.
Bought a 6.5x55 Swede Husqvarna in ‘23. Bought a legit Krag Carbine this year. Both were found at the MACA, Maryland Arms Collectors Association yearly show in bal’mer. A great show.
Happy New Year Dan. I remember the day you picked up the Smith Corona at the CMP. We met you and your friend while visiting and you guys were very helpful to me while picking my first 1903a3. I know now to always carry a bore light. Have been following you since. Keep up the great work.
Happy New Year! I managed to have a pretty awesome year too...a MINT 1909 Argy, a 98 Springfield Krag, an IG11, a Swede M38 and yeah, a MAS 36/51. Bonus for me was a 1917 M96 Swede that had gone out of my collection just made its way back in after bringing joy and good fortune to a few other collectors too! Good luck in 2024 and thank you for the content!
That’s awesome, those Krags are getting harder to find in original condition. Interesting how that M96 found its way back to you. Happy new year and good luck to you too!
Its kind of funny, the most common milsurp at gun shows in my area now is, by far, the 1903 and 1903A3. Not sure if a few large collections in the region were sold off or if theres just no much interest anymore, but theyre plentiful and dont seem to be moving off the table too quick at least over $900.
I went all in on Carcano rifles because they were still relatively cheap. I got a 1939 M91 Truppe Speciali carbine (aka the M91/28) from RTI and it was in decent condition and I paid extra to ensure it was from Beretta Gardone and had a guide rod. But that was nearly $400 when all was said and done. The better deal was a 1918 M91 Carcano foldy boi that had a 1922 Officina Reparazioni Artgleria stamp on the stock. $169 from a pawn shop. Great deal.
My best acquisitions of 2023 by far have got to be a M1 Garand, a SC 1903a3 sporter that I restored back to military configuration, a Finnish M39 Mosin, aSwiss K31 and a Norwegian M1912 Krag Carbine
People really drove the market to a new low in 2023. I only collected two rifles myself because everything else i saw was grossly overpriced. It becomes an even bigger mess when the overpriced items sit on online marketplaces long enough to be used as references for other online vendors which just makes the situation even worse.

Yea if I recall they sold those quick!
My best acquisition this year was a mint 1957 marlin model 336 chambered in 35 remimgton with 100 rounds of ammo for $600
Nice! even came with ammo!
Planing on taking it to the field for some Venisson? Beef a bit expensive today.👍👍

Glad we were able to help! Still haven’t done a video on this M1903A3 but I hope to soon. Appreciate the support! Happy new year!

Ahhh yea the RTI Carcanos from Ethiopia are hit or miss.
Very nice additions. Jealous of that Smith Corona & Sharps! All the best in the new year.
Happy new year! Good luck!

Nice! Glad you were able to save the SC 1903A3 💯
You got some good pick ups this last year. 🎉
Thanks 👍
The H&R M16A1 Cone Is My Favorite of Your Acquisitions 😊❤️😀
Yea I had to put it on there 😁 it’s a great rifle, just took it out this past weekend too
@@BattlefieldCurator I’m Going To Do a 601 or 604 H&R Build For My New Years Resolution 😀😊😇
nice pick-ups 👍👍........
Thanks 👍
Happy New Year and great videos. How can you tell if the a rifle has been counter bored?
Happy New Year. Great video and channel. What do you think about the Mauser 34 pistols? Interested in your opinions. Thanks
Happy new year! Interestingly enough, the Mauser 1914 has been on my mind lately! The 34 is the more up to date version
For 2023 I picked up a West German P38, 1918 DWM P08 Luger, and an Enfield Jungle Carbine.
Wow that is pretty awesome!

i really thought your cmp 1911 would make the cut - think its a better deal than any of those rifles
It was a tough decision and I do like the cmp 1911, it was definitely a runner up. Definitely top 10
What does counter bored at the muzzle mean?
One of these is not like the other- What does “Counterbore” mean?
$1500.00 for a 1903 Springfield 30-06 in the right price range now? Individual won't budge at all
If you get a M1903 or M1903A3 from the CMP (Civilian Marksmanship Program), it’s half that price!
@@BattlefieldCurator Thanks Dan
