It’s staggering how many of these branded shoots had to be totally changed at the last minute, I’m amazed that such unprofessional incompetence is so common at that level of production. Maybe fair timetables for changes should be included in the contracts?
They do, kinda. But when you're working with such a complex beast as media production, all it takes is one assistant spilling something on some notes 2 weeks ago to collapse literally everything. It's a field that relies enormously on people, isn't considered essential and is amazingly complicated. Its shocking most films even come out.

I remember seeing the Righteous Bison in that sketch and thought it was pretty neat. The thing that piqued my interest was how Tom said he got it. I did some research and that guy might not have been lying. The Righteous Bison is actually from a brand done by Weta Workshop called "Dr. Grordbort's Infallible Aether Oscillators," which is just a brand of sort of steampunk-ish retro-future raygun props. Around 2011 they managed to get a collab with Valve where the Righteous Bison was added as a secondary for Soldier. The same with the Manmelter for Pyro. Interestingly the other weapons from that collab, namely the Cow Mangler 5000, and the Phlogistinator are original designs specifically to fit in with other Grordbort weapons. You can even still purchase the real Bison prop from Weta.

It’s staggering how many of these branded shoots had to be totally changed at the last minute, I’m amazed that such unprofessional incompetence is so common at that level of production. Maybe fair timetables for changes should be included in the contracts?
They do, kinda. But when you're working with such a complex beast as media production, all it takes is one assistant spilling something on some notes 2 weeks ago to collapse literally everything.
It's a field that relies enormously on people, isn't considered essential and is amazingly complicated. Its shocking most films even come out.

Watching Tom is like watching a ‘nice’ guy who reformed into an actual nice guy
I remember seeing the Righteous Bison in that sketch and thought it was pretty neat. The thing that piqued my interest was how Tom said he got it. I did some research and that guy might not have been lying. The Righteous Bison is actually from a brand done by Weta Workshop called "Dr. Grordbort's Infallible Aether Oscillators," which is just a brand of sort of steampunk-ish retro-future raygun props. Around 2011 they managed to get a collab with Valve where the Righteous Bison was added as a secondary for Soldier. The same with the Manmelter for Pyro. Interestingly the other weapons from that collab, namely the Cow Mangler 5000, and the Phlogistinator are original designs specifically to fit in with other Grordbort weapons. You can even still purchase the real Bison prop from Weta.

Honestly I feel like the fact "Todderina's" bird doesn't look anything like a bird and instead just looks like something they cobbled together (and that's what it actually is) adds to the humor of it being some crazy vagrant who stumbled into this random school.
The French costume is based on an 'onion johnny' seller's from northern France (britanny) they would cycle selling the onions / garlic door to door. It was roped like that to keep them fresh.
