Thanks Buddy. I have a new revo inshore and never having had a reel smaller than a 6500, I was stuck as to how to get to the spool and decrease the amount of brake force. First few seconds of your vid sorted that problem out for me :D
Also, you are right about the HS models. Max drag is stated at 18 lbs. ( about 8.2 KG) vs. 24 lbs. for the lower ratio models. So you are missing about 7 lbs ( 3.2 Kg) of drag pressure.
yeah you should push the gear down with a little pressure while rotating it and it should pop in. if that doesnt work then one of your parts had worn out
I was just trying to offer a suggestion. Not say that you are doing something wrong. Excess grease might have an effect on your drag performance. I saw a reel review page that greased these dry type washers with specific drag grease, but they applied and wiped them down as opposed to globbing it on there, thats why I said try removing excess grease if any. Suggestion was to help not criticize you. Good luck.

dry or greased, it's my preference.

I understand, just the problem got nothing to do with the drag system.
These are dry drags. I would try wiping your drag washers down to remove any excess grease.
abu garcias r junk daiwa and fluger are top of the line!
mine is 7.1:1, perhap the lower ratio would provide higher drag
I got two in a row that have done this..... the first time I used them
u must of took off the main gear so you gotta put it in the right spot where it has a right fit
funny! worn parts would make it even easier to fit in.
my greased STX washer only providing 5Kg of drag, hand tighten to the fulllest.
id say there both reely good :)
Daiwa & Pflugers are for farmers!!!
what sound you want to hear?
I'll sing for you. Okay?
yeah right! :P
i don't understand.there's only one way of fitting it in.
LOL! I rather keep it.
where can I get zillion with that price?
screw untight?!? I don't understand! Why would you like to hear such thing?
