I have Perkeo with medium nib, and I have to say that it is very wet pen. Very smooth nib, on most papers the feedback is almost none. But with such generous wetness the line is very broad, and the pen can only be used on special or very thick papers. On most papers it bleeds to the other side. With the ink flow adjusted, I think this could be very good pen.

I love the new colors, I'm not the biggest fan of duotone pens, but love the general design of the Perkeo. Might just have to pick one up!

“...while addressing the SHORTcomings of the smaller Sport...” good one, Tom! 😁

I love my Perkeo. I have one with a fine nib and it is wet and bouncy and feels great in the hand on the body. I put this right up there with my Kakuno.

These are very nice affordable pens, and all three versions I own have excellent medium nibs. As much as I like the Lamy Safari I think the Perkeo is a better pen when it comes to actual writing. But just as with the Safari I think they should include a converter.

I have two Lamy Safaris and three Lamy nibs, and none of them write well. They're all too dry. I like Pilot Metropolitans which write well straight out of the box, but I want to try a Perkeo too.

I imagine that the original intended use for the Safari would be school work so they wouldn't want a wet writer, although I've never had a problem with mine, and I have all of the steel nib sizes. The Perkeo is great for the money and I would hope you'd enjoy one.

I personally don't like Lamy fountain pens, which feels weird to say as a German but the Kaweco ones just seem much nicer.

This grip is more comfortable than the Safari grip to me. Like the forest green.

Finally some healthy competition for the Safari. Having a larger hand, while I love the Sport it's too small, so the Perkeo is looking like my next Kaweco purchase. Is Kaweco mounting a comeback to Heidelberg?

I hope they come out with some more colors. I like these new spring colors but I'm not a fan of the others. I'd love a paste orange, pastel blue, and pastel purple option.

5:20 by now I probably have close to 30 ml of Kaweco royal blue ink in cartridges from all the Kaweco pens I bought. :D

I've just tried one out as I like the design very much but the grip was too wide so uncomfortable for me. Kaweco Sport and Lamy Safari grips are really fine. Also writing is not so smooth with the Perkeo and lines are thinner at least on the one I tried.

Hi, What about a clip??? Would the Sport clip fit in it?? Thanks in advance

I have drying issues with one of mine, I am not sure if its probably because I some how made the nib a bit flexy by pushing it a bit too hard. Maybe I should switch a nib or its the cap thats a bit loose, I am using kaweco cartridges and its an F nib.

I wish this pen had an AL version. :o

Would be much more comfortable compared to the Sport because of the size!

Are these new colors the exact same design as the older Perkeo fountain pens?

When I was watching the writing sample, I noticed that: do you happen to have a lateral tripod grip? :) I have this gripping style myself, and I was wondering would this pen be comfortable to hold for us?

So that means I can’t use a ef nib with my kaweco perkeo ? :c

Unfortunately, it's only available in medium or fine point and is not compatible with the Kaweco Sport #5 nib.

How would a medium nib in the perkeo compare to the lamy

    • @GoldspotPens
      @GoldspotPens  3 года назад

Being that both nibs are German-made, they are similar in smoothness and point size. The Lamy nib would be slightly thicker and smoother than the Kaweco Perkeo equivalent.

@@GoldspotPens thanks, I would probably go for the fine perkeo as I like the Lamy fine - shouldn't be too much difference.

It is wild to say includes 4x cartriges when one of them is empty 😂
